Little hack...etch the inside of the press-on nail before gluing it to your natural nail. It helps the glue adhere better to the nails which will help them last longer. Another hack...to protect the nail design on the press on you can apply a layer of base gel then cure, then top coat and cure. This provides a protective cover over the nail so the design lasts longer.
I would like to add a tip for everyone after wearing Press-ons since 2021. Find the brand that fits your nail bed the best! That makes a HUGE difference. If the curve of the nail brand does not fit you closely, they will pop off faster. I have tried many brands and although the glue makes a difference, as long as the amount of glue, it’s the size of the nail that make more difference.
KISS are my ride-or-die. I do my nails by other methods too, but I've been using their glueon nails for over 20 years. People tend to think they were done in a salon.
NAIL HACK: I've been going to Marshalls & TJ Maxx and I've found static nails for as low as $7 for a set and $3 for really nice Kiss sets. Of course each location will vary BUT I freaked out when I got some Static Nail sets from a Marshalls I visited in Puerto Rico cuz I just placed an order on their site for regular price -_-
Hi! The kiss masterpiece are the absolute best fit of any I’ve tried. Also larger size nails seem to correlate to the length . If want larger nail widths with kiss for sure- get the long length and get a length clipper and trim them. Best fit. The short and medium length I swear are different and smaller on the beds. Ty for coming to my ted talk
I love press on nails. I haven't gone to get my nails done in years, ever since you did a video on your lock off the kiss acrylic press ones ( it's obviously been a while 😂) I brought a set on Temu that last more than 3 weeks without none of them popping off. I literally had to soak them off to change them.
Kiss Salon Acrylic French/Nude in Petite are my favorites. They fit just like I'm wearing nail polish because they fit to my nail so well. And I get over a week wear they're hugging my nails. (I realized I was a petite after years of not trying them thinking no way would a petite fit me. My daughter wanted them done, I grabbed a box and in the process realized we could and did share a box of nails.)
I love petite kids nails as well!! But it’s so hard to find options as very little styles are in petite size . Any recs on where to buy outside of Amazon ???
Olive& June nails are my go to press ons! they last up to 3 weeks and they range in so many colors and designs.I've learned that the press ons last longer if you prep the nails correctly.
Hi Liz. New subscriber here. Thank you so much for this. I love glamnetic. Have you tried BTArtbox? I’ve been wearing their press ons with both the nail adhesive tab and the glue on top. None fell off. Always last 2 weeks
Loved your review. I'm allergic to any gel polishes, so what I do is either put a gel top coat on the nails before applying them, or I use a quick-dry regular top coat to protect the designs and it works really well. My favorite regular quick dry top coat for press ons is from the brand Karlash, and it's called Excuse Me quick dry Top Coat - it dries near-instant and its thick and leaves a near-gel like finish. My press ons never lose their designs when top coated, and its nice because this one doesn't require any buffing - it just sticks.
Hi Lizzy! I’m a new subscriber, because of this video. This video is so needed to help everyone, and especially those of us new to the different brands of nails! You did an awesome job! There are so many great points that you touched on…price, quality, size, how long they last, the fit on the nail bed, the thinness or thickness, etc. One thing that always makes a HUGE difference for me, is the variety of sizes…meaning narrow or wide nail beds. There are some brands that literally look like they are made for little girls nails. If you have small nails, that’s great for you…but not everyone is petite. I liked how you hit on that point too…just like clothing, it has taken quite awhile to have the plus size be recognized as a much needed item, and one that needs a variety of styles. This video is really great to help us with saving money! The nails may not cost a ton, but $5.00 here and $10.00 there really adds up. Plus, finances are tight for everyone, and we all need a little “treat” to make life better. I appreciate you taking the time to really go in depth on this subject. Thank you so much for making this video!❤️
I’m a huge Kiss nails fan. No other nail has ever been as durable, however, this is ONLY with their “gel fantasy” line and their French nails. Those are the most durable and the only kind I buy from them. All their other ones are too thin and flimsy, and end up cracking or bending and creasing. Also the glue that they come with is junk and will cause the nails to pop off within hours or the next day. When you find the right tools/technique to make them stay though, they’re so worth the money!
Thank you for giving the people the video we want 😂 Kiss impress nails are my holy grail I use glue with them though. They Always last 2 weeks! Opi has been the worse for me, fell off in 3 days 🤦🏻♀️ buying the glue you recommended. 🍍
Funny thing about Nail bond.....I purchased it a while back.....still haven't use it on nails, but my reading glasses broke (the long part that goes behind the ears)...glued that with it and it's been holding up for months....I wash my glasses with soap and water, constantly taking them off and on, actually treat them pretty rough....That glue is amazing stuff....still going strong. Now to purchase some of those beautiful nails and use it for what it was meant for.....Want to try the kiss short ones and the Glamnetic. Loved his video. Great job.
I really appreciate this video, thank you!! I switched to your favourite glue, and I have to say it is the best ever! I ordered it on Amazon and it came with a coupon for a free bottle which arrived very quickly. My favourite nails are the kiss flexible with the French tip. I have very flat nails and it’s hard to find press ons that are flexible enough for them. I agree you have to make sure to get all the air out with the French tips or it shows. I would love to see more videos, comparing other nails, maybe even some from Amazon and the dollar store. Thank you again so much.🥰
Wonderful video! Thank you for doing this. I have been looking at all of these along with Kiara Sky acrylic nail express & BTArtbox soft gel full tips. I would be very interested in your thoughts on those two as well. plz🙏 🙏 ❤
I’m new to press ons. I’m having trouble KEEPING them on. I’ve tried so many glues. Any suggestions?? I have arthritis on my pointer fingers that ruin the nail bed but I really try and buff it out. TYIA
I am just starting my press on journey and I am was so happy to come across your video. Thank you for the information. And I also absolutely LOVE your lipstick. Please share what brand & color! ❤
Where have i been?!? Im so excited and mind blown!! Last time i tried press ons i was about 8. This was like 1998. They didnt last at all lol. Ive gone to the salon tons for my nails 💰 💰 💰 but when i had kids i couldnt afford it anymore. I haven't had my nails done in YEARS!!! I was at my local DG and on whim in clearance for $3 i got some l.a. colors press ons. 🤯 Im so happy i figured this out they look amazing and are lasting like the salon. Im hyped to try the kiss brand and some of these brands u speak of. Im going in hard its like ive been reborn lol. So excited to have figured this out! Thanks for this video ❤
I love petite kids nails as well!! But it’s so hard to find options as very little styles are in petite size . Any recs on where to buy outside of Amazon ??? Or other options that are like the Kiss petite nails??
I agree 100% Kiss is the best press on kit with designs for the low. They stay on and look good. Their dipping gel set is bomb too. I got into it during covid and ordered it from amazon. Super easy and fast to do your own gel powder fill at home just brushing on gel and dipping nail into powder. Brush on the activator to set the powder and get to buffing. Crack a window or just use the press ons and get your Life!🖤🇺🇸
Thank you for all your hard work you put into this video. It was very helpful! I’m a kiss girl all the way. They have such a wide range of styles and prices. Would you be able to do a detailed video showing how you prep and put on your nails too?
Impress are interesting. It really depends on the person and the style of the impress nails. Their shot ones last 7-10 days on me and the other girls I worked with at the hospital also wore them and they lasted a week as well. And we washed our hands all the time. But my mom can’t keep them on for even an hour. Lol
OMG the NailBond glue is amazing! And I love how it came with a coupon for another free bottle! I've had my press ons for almost 2 weeks, with washing my hands constantly and going to the gym, and they're holding strong! I also like Luxxi for press on nails, they have really cute designs! And sometimes Shein has good but cheap ones too but it's a hit or miss. KISS nails are great but they're a little thin for me. Olive and June is great because they have a bunch of different lengths. I wasn't a fan of the OPI ones which I'm surprised with, because the actual nail color peeled off my press on nail within the first 3 days smh
Thank you for this! I am super new to press on having done gel or acrylic for years on my own, but I’m tired of all the time that takes and how expensive it is in the salons. For my first experience, I used the brand nail reformation and IBD brush on glue. Dang, this glue is hard to get off! One nail popped off during vacay (hot tub & swimming everyday) and I tried removing one the was lifting but the glue wouldn’t let go. Soaked in nail polish remover with acetone for 30 minutes & finally used my efile to get the sucker off and replaced it. 😢
Yay, I love this! I have just found bt artbox and love their press ons. They also have gel ones that you can glue with gel or regular nail glue, those would be a good review video too 😮😊
Glamnetic works well for my straight nails. My natural nails need to be short underneath and then I have a beautiful arch. And I’ve reused them multiple times.
I love the OPI press ons because you can file them down. I like my nails short! I also like the pink circle package ones because they have more sizes that fit me. I guess I have wide nail beds
I love Press-ons! My go to brand is Red Aspen, I love these they last about 2 weeks. I decided to sell Red Aspen I had a customer that wore the same ones for 3 weeks. Please check out these fabulous nails!!
I have those nails that the Impress fit best. What I found to get the longest lasting is to brush nail glue onto my nail before applying the stick on nail. They survived a 7 day cruise with sunscreen and swimming! And stayed on a while after we got home. They don't have my favorite design anymore though. 😢
I have been buying my nails from the 2 new Korean brands SHEIN is one and TEMU they are so inexpensive and they have some of best deals. If I compare these two brands I would choose SHEIN the colours are the best! The prices vary from $1.34 for 24 per package but you can order a variety of nails that come from strips and 96 piece on the small amount up to 1,000 pieces. You can buy them in a wide variety of colours and bling but you can buy as many as you like! I use gorilla glue on top of 2 coats of any clear polish to protect my own nails, roughly scrub your own nails with the roughly so the nails will stay on for about 2 weeks. I soak the nails in oil and some liquid soak for about 15 minutes they come off easily!!
I have the tiniest nails & it's so hard to find fun options. The XXS O&J look good in the package so I'm hoping they last! Thanks for the glue recommendation & please share any other nails you'd recommend for small nailbeds!
I love kiss impress. They fit my nails so well and I like the flexibility of the nail BUT the adhesive that is on the part of the nail that is not attached to my nails looks awful. It collects dirt and looks icky. Any suggestions for how to remove that without wrecking the nail?
finally someone said it. Static nails faded super fast on me too, and looked janky super fast and lost their shape. It was sad cuz they looked soooo good at first. I really wanted to keep them on.
I buy hundreds of 'nails' from Shein & Temu & only use a tiny amount of glue....why, because I don't want them on for more than a week so i'm ready to put a whole new set on. I get bored of looking at the same nails for 2/3 weeks!
Here is the glue amzn.to/3P1HwOa , best way is to soak with acetone. Ive seen videos where people soak them in olive oil too I might make a video and test that
Tengo un cajon lleno de press on nail from shein and temu, son hermosasssss ya no pago $75 ni nada x uńas como tengo las manos pequeńas se ven hermosisimas❤❤❤❤love press on y no cuestan nas de $3 con diseńos y todo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If there is a gap at the side, you are using the wrong size. My press on, and sometimes glue on, will lift up at the base and get caught in my hair. I just put a little drop of glue under the gap with a fine tip bottle of glue or a brush and press it down.
Kiss has been a staple for me for years, and I just go to their website and buy direct from them. They have awesome sales and good cs, too. I've had good luck with their power flex ultra hold glue. I do think their nails are a bit too long imo (shorts are more medium imo), but always stayed with them because of price and the variety of designs. Dashing Diva is also another one I use occasionally, and they are a tad shorter (short is more like short lol).
I was paying $120 for luminary nails and gel pedis. 3 hours!! I just did my first set of BTArt box 2 weeks ago and they’re still on!!! I may still need to go get a regular fresh pedicure from time to time but i will never spend $90 for gel or structured gel manicures at a salons ever again
What does etch mean?
@hindelmoskovits5609 Use a file to scratch the backside of the press-on nail.
I love you!
I want to protect my nails from the glue, and I was wondering if I can put base coat, and if my nails are going to pop out 😅
@@totukimou I use a layer of dip polish under my press on nails. They last three weeks and protect your nails from the glue.

Thank you for all this great info! What is the glue you use?
Sorry I forgot to link it, here it is amzn.to/3P1HwOa
Thank you!
It says currently unavailable and don't know when or if they will be back in stock 😢
How do you remove the nail glue ?
The olive and June link is not working FYI
Good video. Thanks
Sometimes I want the kiss nails because they are so thin. I hate the sticker tabs though- I refuse to buy impress nails.
You can use regular glue on the impress nails
Kiss now has wilder tip
Great video 👏🏼
What glue do you use and how do you remove them without damaging your nail? 😊
Here is the glue amzn.to/3P1HwOa , best way is to soak with acetone. Ive seen videos where people soak them in olive oil too I might make a video and test that
Wish you had shown the packaging.
Tengo un cajon lleno de press on nail from shein and temu, son hermosasssss ya no pago $75 ni nada x uńas como tengo las manos pequeńas se ven hermosisimas❤❤❤❤love press on y no cuestan nas de $3 con diseńos y todo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How do i get rid of the gap on the sides of my nails with the press ons? When in the shower, my hair gets suck under the nails! Ugh!!
If there is a gap at the side, you are using the wrong size. My press on, and sometimes glue on, will lift up at the base and get caught in my hair. I just put a little drop of glue under the gap with a fine tip bottle of glue or a brush and press it down.
You’re supposed move up to the next bigger size and file them to a custom fit
I've been doing my own luminary manicures and pedicures for about two years now. Luminary lasts and it's so beautiful and strong!
Thank u for your show u are very pretty
Static was super narrow for me.
