Great video as always. You forgot the best function of the controller: it can now reapply the autopilot automatically after lane changes even without any AP upgrades 😉 great function!
For me, the reaction time of the wipers always leaves something to be desired. The ability to easily find fog lights too would be useful. This could be the answer. Nice one, Bjorn.
Hi Bjørn. What do you think about the new disable of constant power of USB and 12V outlets after update 2024.32. Now only solution is running camping mode. This is a major critical issue. Coolers, dashcams, taxi and a lot of other uses. Teslas documents shows 12V outlets to all 3 party, since it’s not Tesla considered safe to tap directly to the battery. I believe also some other devices like alcohol driver control, handicap and other devices that use 12V before car activation state.
We currently wait for Tesla to respond at service if it’s a workaround or not. If not we will need to return our company cars back to Tesla because we need this functionality for personal security and some devices that depend on always on. Before we order the cars we had an appointment for the details and agreement of use with the Tesla documents CD-22-17-001 and CD-20-17-002. Since my company have a written agreement that this functionality is an absolute necessity and an agreement to order Tesla we have legal rights to return. Maybe they hardwire from DC-DC or battery then. The other car brands we were looking for before Tesla had all possible solutions to hardwire from battery with lots of current usage without guarantee loss. Only Tesla needed an own document and very limited supply by the 12V outlet and OBD with its own agreement document.
Can you use those to activate 12v when the car is locked and in Park, like we used to be able to do with Sentry Mode? I need a solution for my camping fridge. 😢
They have that option (currently it's under the 'Others' section in the app). You have up to 5 'pages' with 5 functions on each (press down on the rotary knob + the 4 buttons). You can set so that it switches to one of the five 'pages' automatically when in drive and to another 'page' in reverse, and then revert back to the start 'page' when in park. I have set it so that my 'drive page' has left and right indicator on the two lower buttons respectively. It works really great.
For alle trims - the drift pro is a feature through the Commander that disables lots of stuff like ESC, stabalization etc. that makss it possible to drift. Right now though, you can only enable drift pro and not disable it. If you want to disable it, you need to power down the car.
mg4 needs this too. annoying to go from screen to disable lane assist and set up one pedal drive after every start. also ac settings from that would be much better
You can adjust passenger seat on main screen by going into the apps and selecting rear screen control which is the first app. Then you have access to passenger seat movement. Works only when parked.
Can it activate cruise control WITHOUT putting the wiper in Auto? Or can it even activate autopilot WITHOUT switching lights to that stupid high beam? 🤔
