Well actually, I only know this from experience, but there IS a true ending. You have to warn C. Round when Susie first joins your party. You also have warn Lancer in the beginning and then continue a normal pacafist route. Then you get the true ending.

If you buy dark burgers and have the top cake it should get a little easier. Three hits is enough to down anyone in the party except Susie, so as long as you can avoid three hits on any particular attack you should be able to make it. Wish I could give more advice but this is a hard boss. Not as hard as sans, but still hard. It's an endurance match too for sure.

Tbh, Jevil's right. He knows there is no choice in that world, so all he wants to do is just have some fun. Yes, he's insane. But when will 3 Heroes find his cell, find the key pieces, FIX the key, and go inside? Odds are very low. And what WOULD he do? Invite them for tea? He just wants to have fun, and wants you to have fun too, even though his definition of fun is a little distorted (Like a certain Man I know...) And about his "freedom" he's not wrong. The world outside is ruled by a selfish dictator planning to plunge the world into eternal darkness who's literally willing to throw his son off a roof to kill you. *That's not okay.* He barely cares about Lancer. Almost as if... *_hEs an AdOpTEd cHILd BaBy dun dun DUUNN_* Anyway, Jevil was completely fine with the four kings before the tyrant rose. He probably ran into the cell to avoid the tyranny outside. Sure, it's very unlikely, but he never explicitly says the guards led him into his freedom or anything, he just says they locked up the entire race and now he's the only free one. Being locked up for so long, he probably had a lot of time to think and thought about how bad it really was outside and all the chaos that may be happening. This thought may of corrupted him and since it was like the only thing he was thinking about other than Seam he became his thoughts. Let's talk about his relationship with Seam. Since this has to be a while ago (Who uses court jesters at magic shows anymore?) We can assume they had your stereotypical magic tricks. "Pick a card, any card." Yes, the whole world is based off cards and Jevil is the joker card, but isn't it a little suspicious they probably did card tricks? When locked in his cell, he probably went crazy trying to remember Seam that he did anything to remember him, thus making his attacks based off of Seam's old magic tricks: cards. Suits of diamonds and spades and clubs and hearts. For all we know, while he was a court jester, he could've not had a definite suit, like Ralsei or Seam who doesn't really have a suit. Then in his cell he taught himself those tricks which turned him into a joker. In Deltarune, anything's possible. -obligitory i can do anything reference- Now Seam and Jevil are very unique. Seam doesn't have a definite suit (like mentioned earlier) and Jevil has _voice lines._ Something Undertale barely had any of. The only characters that had voice lines were the powerful ones. Flowey, Omega Flowey (respectively) and Mettaton. Mettaton is like an outlier, but I believe his NEO form could've been extremely powerful. You are a demon in genocide, not a human so he couldn't of stopped you. But imagine fighting him on Pacifist. He definitely has potential. Omega Flowey has his cackling at the beginning along with the hitting sound effects, and Flowey says "That's a wonderful idea!" Now for Sans, he doesn't speak buuut he does bleed instead of dust. So that's a difference. He also speaks in 2 different fonts (Comic Sans, and the one he uses in the date). Anyway, back to Jevil. He has like, a thousand different voice lines (Metamorphosis, I can do anything, chaos chaos, bye bye, it's you and me and chaos, etc.) indicating he's very powerful. If you don't believe me, the tiny jester has 3,500 HP, as much as ASGORE, King of the Underground (plus, ASGORE has armor) and more than half the health of Omega Flowey (6,000 HP) Jevil's only armor is his cloth stuff he has on. Plus, he has his own full screen attack, the Final Chaos. Now some people say Jevil is easy. But I bet more died to Jevil than to ASGORE. Also, you fight Jevil with three people all above 70 HP while with Pacifist ASGORE, you fight him with 20 HP. Also, you have a bunch of attack boosters, healing spells, revive mints, and you can STILL do about 300 damage per good hit and he's STILL relatively difficult. Lots of people seem to overlook defeating Jevil. In Deltarune, you cannot kill anyone. They all run away. If Jevil was truly hurt, he would atleast teleport away. Thing is, he can't run since he's in a cell. Plus, he says he's just going to sleep for another century. That brutal fight was just play to him. This has been my 1 and a half hour theory on Jevil-
And basically, his "HP" is actually broken as he's actually not killed in the fight, as the others just run away as you said, Jevil could't, but he didn't die. His HP is actually not what it's supposed to be. And one more thing; unlike most characters, Jevil knows about HP... pretty suspicious if I say so myself.
Tip for anyone trying to fight this boss: it took me 10 tries to finally get the right inventory and beat him, so here's what I did. Of course, if you're good at dodging, this fight will be a lot easier than it was for me, but its all about when you act/attack (I acted, haven't tried attacking yet) and heal. First, I never used Ralsei's healing spell, as I saw it as a waste of TP. But my inventory had a total of 8 Dark burgers, 1 top cake, 1 revive mint, and 1 club sandwich (and Ralsei's manual cause I didn't have the heart to throw it out). I always started off the fight by everyone defending on the first move, followed by using the Hypnosis ACT. The trick to this fight, though, is using your items as sparingly as possible. I usually waited until someone was dead then used an item on them. If 2 people were down and the last one left was injured, I used the Top Cake. I used the club sandwich whenever everyone was injured and low on health. Then, I used the dark burgers when someone (or everyone) was low on health (and by that I mean like 2 HP or dead). There were a few times I risked using the ACT command even though someone (usually Ralsei) was very low on health. Also, if someone needed to heal but I didn't need to use 1 person, I made Kris use his other ACT, Pirouette. This resulted in me jumbling up everyone's health one round, but that was actually the round I won. Sorry, this is long, but its a long battle. Good luck to anyone who attempts it! Its not as difficult as everyone makes it out to be, but its still hard. Just a matter of dodging and using your items as little as possible.

I think that Jevil says his iconic "*I CAN DO ANYTHING!*" because he realizes that if the message given to the player at the beginning, "YOUR CHOICES DON'T MATTER IN THIS WORLD" that means he can do anything.

I used the club sandwich whenever everyone was injured and low on health. Then, I used the dark burgers when someone (or everyone) was low on health (and by that I mean like 2 HP or dead). There were a few times I risked using the ACT command even though someone (usually Ralsei) was very low on health. Also, if someone needed to heal but I didn't need to use 1 person, I made Kris use his other ACT, Pirouette. This resulted in me jumbling up everyone's health one round, but that was actually the round I won.
Sorry, this is long, but its a long battle. Good luck to anyone who attempts it! Its not as difficult as everyone makes it out to be, but its still hard. Just a matter of dodging and using your items as little as possible.

@@fracturedyt7377 I can do pretty good on dodging until the carousel. Usually I start off pretty good, but towards the end of the attack I almost always got hit.
The solo one is Pirouette, and the team one is Hypnosis. Also, there’s going to be more chapters so I’m trying to beat him without using revive mints or the top cake.

@@user-dl7yx9bc8y yes, thats why i agree if you mean in further chapters. Jevil is by far the strongest in chapter 1, and is one of the strongest in all of undertale/deltarune bosses (personally i have more issues with him than with Sans or Undyne)

It would probably be an endless scythe and spade (and also pretty much everything) vs bones and blasters. But neither would land a hit until the time when Sans would get tired. It would just be a bunch of teleportation and dodging.

After 40 minutes, I went to get some armor and some food, and I beat him. I did not really think about it before .. XD And it'seasy to have Dark dollars. x)
