I was recently told by a manager at ruralking that if i did the service myself it would void the warranty. Have you head anything like this?

Absolutely not true. Keep your receipt. Take a pic of it next to the hour meter when you do the service. Take pics of the fluids and the filters. Then send it to rk for them to put on their system.
