I find that doing your own tractor maintenance not only saves money but keeps you aware of things that are going on with the machine. Great video thanks Chris. Also got the 24 inch handle from you yesterday and it looks awesome!
Awesome! Appreciate it!
Life in the 906,what happened to your channel dude???? Hope all's well my friend!!! 🌳💚🌳💚👍👊
I love your dogs a surprise at that cost of hauling your tractor. About $350 ..WHOAAAAAA
By doing this yourself you learn your equipment better.its great to see, it’s part of life of owning property that most people don’t show these days. Have a great day!!
Thanks Dean
Maintenance is definitely key in the longevity of anything, and it's cheap insurance too!
Good maintenance is so important
nice to be able to do your own service
Great routine maintenance video Chris. Hope all's well in your neck of the woods brutha 👊👍💚🌳💚
Thanks Chris, doing great
Hey Chris. Just to let you know I got my forever belt and I love it. Definitely the best belt I’ve ever owned. Thank you
That is fantastic!!!
I do all of my own services too. It's hard when you make a living with your wrenches and having someone else work on it. Especially when you know you can do it your self.
Couldn't agree more
Good maintenance video!
Thanks Bruce! Some day I hope to have a shop like yours!
Good stuff
Thanks
Just bought new rk37 today. Will pick up this Saturday..
Congrats! Your going to love it! I just turned 100 hours on mine. I'm planning on doing a 100 hour review on it. You'll be happy to know I have nothing bad to say about it.
Good morning Chris!!😀😀
There is nothing to it. Just to do it!! LOL!!
I'm surprised that there is no filter on the hydraulic system. The Mahindra does have one.
That thing is going to last you a very long time if you keep taking care of it like you are.
Take care my friend!!😀😀👍👍
Have to, I cant afford another one! Haha!
Is the Mahindra a Hydrostatic transmission? My Kioti has a screen and a filter. The filter is for the Hydrostatic system.
The rk37 hydro also has a filter.
@@jeremywever6947 :) Yes my Mahindra is a Hydro. But it's the 2555 model that is 55 hp.
Have you made a video of transmission oil change? Need to know what grade oil and how much for my RK37 Shuttle shift.
I did not. I believe it tells you in the owners manual? If I remember correctly. I had 2 5 gal buckets. Think it's just over 9 gal? They will know at RK. They have a chart.
Thanks Got it done. Almost 10 gal of fluid.
Hey Chris! Nice concise DIY video. I just got my Kioti back from Owens Implement for the 50 hour service. They offered the first service at the cost of materials only. After watching your video, I’m on board for doing the next one myself. Are you inviting anyone out for your bonfire in the fall? I would like to see that dead maple burn!
Thanks! Yeah, it's real easy. Heck yeah! Well make a date of it!
I am afraid I will have to pass on the bonfire but because it looks like the border is going to be closed for a while
is there a rear axle drain as not was not mentioned if there was or is that a different service interval
Rear axle is part of the transmission or hrydrolic fluid. Next video.
Which tym engine oil filter did you use? Is it a good idea to use synthetic motor oil over standard oil? Thanks
I got my filters ar RK. Didn't even look at the numbers just asked them for the filters for an RK37 to do the 50 hour service. I would check with the owners manual on what synthetic oil they recommend but synthetic is better than conventional oil. The most important thing is sticking to the service schedule no matter what oil you choose.
Didn't you forget the hydraulic fluid? What did you use in the wheel gears?
Can't remember. I never shot part 2.
How difficult was it to change the hydraulic filter and where is it located, was really hoping for the next video as I have do the 50 hour service soon. Any tips on the hydraulic fluid and filter/sceen change?
The hydraulic screen was very difficult to get out. I ended up just changing the fluid. I have to go to the dealer and find out what's the best way of getting it out.
Any updates on that process?
Hi, I have a question for you. Did you ever make a video of the 50 hr service? Can’t find it. Also, the regeneration ran for an hour today and never would finish...any ideas?
This is the 50 hour service, I just didn't do the part 2. Did you bump the rpm to 1500 and let it sit?
@@KillingerUSA it automatically bumps itself to 2200 and gradually comes down to 2000 thereafter
Where do i find part 2 of the 50 hr service?
Never uploaded it. Had camera issues
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you put a little over 3 qts of engine oil in. I called RK and emailed the RKTractor guy and they said 1.32 gals. Which is correct?
Engine oil was just a gallon
@@KillingerUSA ok. I loaded the transcript of your video and only saw you mention 3 qts. Just checking to make sure!!
@@wanny07 yes, I started with 3 and checked it. I just did my 300 hrs service and used a jug. I believe that jug is 1 gallon. With any oil change on a bigger engine, put 4 quarts in and check it.
😊👍🍵
Where is the rest of the 50hr service?
Unfortunately I lost the footage.
