Excellent. I just picked up a Rossi RS22-TB today and this is much clearer than the manual as far as describing what needs to be done. Time to start cleaning!!
Hey Bret, I just got a used one from a Pawn shop and was a little dirty, so was curious how to take it apart to clean it. Glad I watched this before I attempted it. Not hard, but you need to know how it goes together. Thank you for doing this, very well done easy to understand and to the point.
Very well done easy to understand step by step breakdown. Useful information thank you. You just got a subscription. I was looking at this rifle for just over a $100. I'm thinking i'm gonna get it. It was between this and the winchester wild cat. I wanted to get a Ruger 10/22 but they are over $300. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Sliding the bolt back over the spring and guide rod is tricky. I bent the spring because the guide rod wants to lie flat in the receiver but the bolt has to be at an angle. I should replace the spring but I did get it assembled by compressing the spring with the guide rod into the bolt. Then, holding the assembly compresses with one hand I lowered into position. With the other other hand I inserted the bolt handle. Everything works but spring does have distinct bend in it when not inserted.
@@reallydawg5987 I’ve never had any issues with mine, outside of using armscor hollow points. I’ve only had problems with them, and it’s only one or two every hundred or so. She eats everything else just fine👍🏻
Just found your channel. And just subscribed! Great vid very very helpful. Just got mine in at the FFL. Question can a bull barrel be installed on this particular rifle. Or more so do they even make after market bull barrels to fit a Rossi? Thanks in advance for any response. Anyway again thanks for posting the vid and I’ll be checking to see if you have any others coming up.
Every few rounds the spent brass gets stuck in the chamber but I thought it was because either I needed to clean it or the extractor wasn’t working or I used too much lube and brass was getting atuck
Just punch out the 2 pins between the barrel and the receiver. Check minute 1:23 and you can see the pins right next to his right thumb. Pay attention to the orientation of the pin bc one side is flanged you should punch from the flanged side.
Great video , short , simple and to the point! Thank you!

Where did you get the new spring from because I also bent my spring
You can heat the spring some and it will straighten up not to much though
Really a good video.Easy to follow and understand.Liked it and subscribed.
Thanks for the video! I just clean mine with no problem.
Fantastic, thanks so much, very easy to follow

Over 5k rounds with no maintenance 😅 damn good gun for $115…. Dirtiest firearm I’ve ever encountered 😅😅
Yep just around 1k for me and just got 2 malfunctions last time I was at the range

@@MidwesternOutdoors01 I was using cci stingers but switched to Remington might switch back
@rabbit07637 I guess I bought them at a good time, because I definitely paid $115. Don’t tell me what I paid 🤦🏻
@rabbit07637 got mine for 100 was on sale lol
you are an expert at this
Pretty much the same for the Marlin 795 or Model 60. Spring even looks the same.

Thank you, brother!
Thanks , to the point … 🍀🍺 . It’s a fun little 22lr … accurate rifle too
Very informative thank you
and bent my spring. Darn it. Thanks for the video though!!
Anyone else having problems with their firing pin striking the bullet too low causing it to jam in the chamber?
Every few rounds the spent brass gets stuck in the chamber but I thought it was because either I needed to clean it or the extractor wasn’t working or I used too much lube and brass was getting atuck
is it all metal parts internally?
How do you remove the barrel
Just punch out the 2 pins between the barrel and the receiver. Check minute 1:23 and you can see the pins right next to his right thumb. Pay attention to the orientation of the pin bc one side is flanged you should punch from the flanged side.
Not Necessary or Recommended.
Thank you.
If you are a custom rifle dude what would you do to upgrade this rifle?
A more solid stock would be a good start. Not a bunch you can do to these.
@@apexcustomrifles thanks...the only real upgrade I can find is the trigger spring and recoil buffer.
Thank you bro
Glad it helped.
What size of punch?
i used an ⅛in that did just fine.
Thanks
Thx
Im beating on these pins they wont budge
Dont lose those pins dude
