Worlds of Fun needs a new stand out flat right, and an answer for Monsoon's removal. But thanks for giving it credit where it's due! The Mamba without trims feels like a whole new roller coaster, and finally serves the park as it's rightful stand out coaster properly.
I would love to see you take the Top 10 parks from Six Flags and Cedar Fair and rank them side by side, like take your park from each chain that is in your #10 position and see which one you would rank higher.
I only got four more parks in the chain to go and two more I need to revisit to get a more recent opinion. I haven’t disliked any of the parks I’ve been to in the chain unfortunately can’t say the same about Six Flags
Kings Island and Kings Dominion are battling for the top spot for me. It's the depth of KI vs the best 1-2 punch in the country of KD. Both have had little to no lines on my weekday visits. In late 2021, Knotts was open on a rainy day when I was in the area, with most rides open. Meanwhile, Magic Mountain closed for the entire day, even though they didn't get any of the rain. I was heaping the praise on Knotts for their weather policy after that day. Cedar Point hasn't been as fun in recent years, with the rides always breaking down, then having 2-hour lines when they're open, on slow days. Maverick has operated less than 10% of the time on my last few visits, and Steel Vengeance isn't much better. It should be # 1, but the crowds and breakdowns are too much for me.
While I have only been to 6 Cedar Fair parks, here's how I would rank them. 1. Cedar Point 2. Kings Island 3. Knott's Berry Farm 4. Kings Dominion 5. Carowinds 6. Michigan's Adventure
Thanks for your ratings/ reviews of the CF amusement parks. I've been to 8 of the 11 parks. IMHO the top 8 🎢 are: 8) Canadas Wonderland 7) Dorney Park 6) Worlds of Fun 5) Kings Dominion 4) Knotts Berry Farm 3) Carowinds 2) Cedar Point 1) Kings Island 😁🎉
Knott's basically invented the accelerated launch coaster, it actually caused a huge headache when Xcellerator broke down because almost none of its parts were built to standard size because there was no "standard" when they made it.😅
Fantastic video agree with all the rankings! Keep an eye on Canadas Wonderland they are investing huge and making major changes over the course of the next few years and major additions that not just could but will push the park higher in the ranking ;)
I've only been to 3 CF parks. Here's how I'd rank the ones I've visited so far: 3. WORLDS OF FUN. This is the closest park to me and I enjoy riding Cyclone Sam's, Mamba, Prowler, Timber Wolf, and I like the collection of older flat rides, especially since some are similar to defunct rides at my home park SFSL. However, I despise this park's operations, the ops are usually very slow, sometimes rude, and don't seem to take any pride at all in their work, this coupled with minimal shade in the queues usually leads me to not enjoy my visits. The park looks nice but I also dislike the color of the water in their water rides. As a ride op, I take operations very seriously when I rate a park, this park's ops drags it down to being one of my least favorites. 2. CEDAR POINT I find this park to be more than slightly overrated and too popular for its own good. It's a shame that they have so many rides and have so many issues with capacity and crowd management. I also think the front half of the park looks like a glorified carnival on a parking lot and don't think it looks pretty until you reach Frontier Town, Wilderness Trail and Camp Snoopy. The roller coasters are among the best out there but the park is sorely missing a modern wooden coaster amongst other things. I don't like how you basically have to splurge for Fast Lane to enjoy your day here but if you luck out with low crowds, you could have a field day at this park. 1. KINGS ISLAND This is my 2nd favorite park I've been to, only behind Silver Dollar City, it has a near perfect lineup in my opinion with stepping stones for smaller children to build up to larger attractions. I love the layout of the park and how rides on the perimeter go out into the woods, and you can't deny they have good rides when people can't even agree on which of the top 5 is the best. The operations are also amazing, I've gone on extremely busy days and the lines keep moving at a steady rate, I try to make it out to this park at least once a year like SDC. I also really want to visit MiA for Shivering Timbers, plus friends of mine who've visited say its an extremely charming park.
When I was growing up, I had season passes to California's Great America. Back then it was Paramount's Great America. There were Star Trek characters that greeted you when you entered. Flight Deck was named Top Gun after the movie. I will be sad to see it go.
I have been to 10 of the 11. Going to the 11th this summer. My top 10. Is as follows. 1i0. Michigans Adventure 9. Valleyfair 8. Dorney Park 7. Worlds of fun 6. California great America 5. Kings dominion 4. Kings island 3. Carowinds 2. Knotts Berry Farms. 1. Cedar point.
I personally prefer Kings Dominion over Knotts, since KD is much easier to have fun at with its low crowds and the already short lines of i305. Knotts always has long and slow moving lines which hinders it alot.
@@CanobieCoaster Kings Dominion is great. Especially love the entrance plaza, nice theming. Kings Island came first and then they modeled King Dominion after Kings Island, right down the Eiffel Tower. If you want to see vintage footage of Kings Island, you can watch the famous Season 5 "Cincinnati Kids" episode of "The Brady Bunch", which was filmed just as the park was first opening in 1972 available on Paramount + and in syndication ("The Partridge Family" filmed an episode there, too...).
You've done a good job with your presentation & discussion. Personally, I'd rank Carowinds ahead of Knott's, but both are super good parks! Otherwise, I'd agree with your placements.
As soon as the video starts. I always think. Did they do the right thing and put Kings Island as number 1? Because it is. Update: Got to number 2. They choose poorly.
@@CanobieCoaster 2 words that put KI over CP. Park Pride. Everybody loves to work there. And their operations are always the best. CP has none of this. They rest on their laurels.

kd is my home park and i rlly think by 2030 itll prolly be the third or second best on the list for cedar fair parks. the upcoming volcano replacement looks good. specs about anaconda getting replaced with the new ss axis could be amazing. maybe more space for a new coaster addition. idk maybe a family coaster. a hyper coaster would really also help its lineup alongside project305/i305. the theming is also drastically improving its insane how much theyre doing to the park

@Goliath146 I like kings island because of park appearance and operations and kings dominion for the same reason (I also think kings dominion has batter flat ride collection ngl)
Cedar Fair is great. Two things, CF does better than Six Flags off the bat are (food/concessions) and also security. Whenever I'm reading or watching the news and I see the words "Six Flags", I know there's going to be a wild and unfortunate video to follow.
Id have to say my top three are 1. KI, 2. Wonderland, 3. CP Yes, CP has some incredible coasters but I find the atmosphere and overall enjoyment at both KI and CW are better.
I could see Michigan’s Adventure get sold off to United Parks & Resort once Six Flags and Cedar Fair officially merged into the new ‘Six Flags’ company.
I'm not going this weekend for a few reasons. I'm not a fan of the double rides they're doing since it will be an operational nightmare (even as a pass member who could get them). I also don't want to make the drive with St. Patrick's day drivers late at night.
From the parks i done sofar i liked knotts and kings dominian the best, havent done carrowinds and Kings island yet from the top ranking ones. I agree cedar point has the best coasters but because of the long wait times its not the most enjoyable park. I did stay in the knotts hotel so i could skipp the really busy parts of the day that might have given it some undair advantages over the other parks.
The management of this chain has proved once again that they do not care about enthusiasts or even the GP. I don't blame Great Adventure for the removal of Kingda Ka, I actually commend them for fighting as hard as they did to keep it open for one more season. And it's not even their fault for not speaking on the closure, they were forced to keep quiet by the Cedar Fair executives. And don't expect it to be replaced with anything good. They'll probably put in a B&M dive coaster, albeit a big one, that won't hold a candle to the King and will be rough like most new B&Ms nowadays. I bet whatever they have planned for Great Adventure would turn me into a GP if I rode it. And El Toro is cooked. It will stay for a few years to soften the PR blow but Cedar Fair execs will rip it out and put in its place a forceless and rough B&M. RMC is done, don't be surprised if they go out of business or get bought up by another company, because Cedar Fair won't let them place a finger on any of their bad wood coasters. You won't see any Intamins being built at Six Flags (after Qiddiya) because the Cedar Fair execs are acting like children and will put a grudge over the enjoyment of enthusiasts. They will survive because every other amusement company respects them and will hire them to build world class rides. I will be going to many Six Flags (it's really Cedar Fair now after the merger) and I expect to have a good time, even if I have to stare at the gaping hole that was once a coaster I dreamed of riding, but the future for this company is so incredibly bleak.
Ka's replacement won't be a dive. The park said it will be a record-breaking launch coaster. It's unfortunate the ride was removed without official warning.
@@CanobieCoaster yeah I forgot about that. But I expect the quality to be similar to Valravn, Yukon Striker, etc. The Cedar Fair execs have lost all my faith.
It's going to happen, unfortunately. They set up the deal so the cedar fair shareholders don't even get to vote on it. They knew that the cedar fair people wouldn't want this. Cedar fair did its shareholders dirty.
I've been to 5 Cedar Fair parks so far. I'd probably rank them like this: 1. King's Island 2. King's Dominion 3. Carowinds 4. CGA 5. Knotts The lack of shade at Carowinds is another huge con for me. King's Dominion is also much prettier and has a better supporting lineup.
I get it. Everyone saying that Cedar Point is the greatest thing ever is the reason why it's always insanely busy every single day. I guess I'm getting too old to be happy with 2-hour lines on everything. I greatly prefer both Kings Island and Kings Dominion, and I might even put Carowinds ahead of CP.
Having been to all but 2 Cedar Fair parks (Canada's Wonderland & Michigan's Adventure), I'd probably rank them as follows: 1. Kings Island 2. Kings Dominion 3. California's Great America 4. Carowinds 5. Valleyfair 6. Worlds of Fun 7. Knott's Berry Farm 8. Dorney Park 9. Cedar Point I must say, there isn't a single Cedar Fair park I haven't enjoyed. Just overall a great collection of parks!
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od Really, it's not crowds or anything like that. It's atmosphere mostly. I think the atmosphere of the park just isn't as up there as others. 6. Worlds of Fun
7. Valleyfair
What about world's beats valleyfair for you?
@chuck4714 better coaster lineup and park atmosphere
@@chuck4714 they are very close. But I had more fun at my visit to Worlds last year.
Nice list!
Worlds of Fun needs a new stand out flat right, and an answer for Monsoon's removal. But thanks for giving it credit where it's due! The Mamba without trims feels like a whole new roller coaster, and finally serves the park as it's rightful stand out coaster properly.
I'd welcome another inverting flat in the future.
Living in New Hampshire this is the only chain I’ve not been to. Maybe the merger will have a pass for all parks?
I suspect there will one day.
I am shock Carolwinds lacks water rides The Carolinas are still in the subtropics.
They need a new water ride.
I appreciate your positive opinion on Worlds of Fun and Zambezi Zinger. I’ve been seeing some hate and it is is too good of a park to get hate.
It's not a top tier Cedar Fair park, but it's still a good park.
@@CanobieCoaster I agreee
What is the craziest s&s shot tower in your opinion
Big Shot between the location and airtime.
I would love to see you take the Top 10 parks from Six Flags and Cedar Fair and rank them side by side, like take your park from each chain that is in your #10 position and see which one you would rank higher.
I may do a top theme park video soon that would show the top ones.
I only got four more parks in the chain to go and two more I need to revisit to get a more recent opinion. I haven’t disliked any of the parks I’ve been to in the chain unfortunately can’t say the same about Six Flags
Nice!
Excellently done. Id only flip KD and Caro. Rest is spot on.
Thanks!
Cedar point has operations on par with Six flags over Georgia at this point
I agree the lines and closures at Cedar Point is annoying, but it's still my personal favorite in the chain.
While I have only been to 6 Cedar Fair parks, here's how I would rank them.
1. Cedar Point
2. Kings Island
3. Knott's Berry Farm
4. Kings Dominion
5. Carowinds
6. Michigan's Adventure
Nice list!
I am curious to find out if the merger with Six Flags will affect the quality of the CF parks.
It will be interesting.
I have never been to a cedar fair park, but I might go to valley fair within the next 3 years.
Hopefully you can.
Thanks for your ratings/ reviews of the CF amusement parks. I've been to 8 of the 11 parks. IMHO the top 8 🎢 are:
8) Canadas Wonderland
7) Dorney Park
6) Worlds of Fun
5) Kings Dominion
4) Knotts Berry Farm
3) Carowinds
2) Cedar Point
1) Kings Island 😁🎉
Ayo what's up with that wonderland placement
Nice list! Another Kings Island at the top.
You should go to canadas wonderland again it’s actually great
Knott's basically invented the accelerated launch coaster, it actually caused a huge headache when Xcellerator broke down because almost none of its parts were built to standard size because there was no "standard" when they made it.😅
I love its intensity.
Man I was on board with this list until #2… flip #1 & #2 and you’re spot on 😊
Sorry I prefer Cedar Point.
Fantastic video agree with all the rankings! Keep an eye on Canadas Wonderland they are investing huge and making major changes over the course of the next few years and major additions that not just could but will push the park higher in the ranking ;)
I already like that park to begin with too.
I've only been to 3 CF parks. Here's how I'd rank the ones I've visited so far:
2. CEDAR POINT
I find this park to be more than slightly overrated and too popular for its own good.
1. KINGS ISLAND
This is my 2nd favorite park I've been to, only behind Silver Dollar City, it has a near perfect lineup in my opinion with stepping stones for smaller children to build up to larger attractions.
I've seen many putting Kings Island at the top.
When I was growing up, I had season passes to California's Great America. Back then it was Paramount's Great America. There were Star Trek characters that greeted you when you entered. Flight Deck was named Top Gun after the movie. I will be sad to see it go.
I hope it is saved.
I have been to 10 of the 11. Going to the 11th this summer. My top 10. Is as follows.
1i0. Michigans Adventure
9. Valleyfair
8. Dorney Park
7. Worlds of fun
6. California great America
5. Kings dominion
4. Kings island
3. Carowinds
2. Knotts Berry Farms.
1. Cedar point.
Canadas wonderland is my home park and it is very good for all ages! Hope you enjoy your visit
Nice list!
I personally prefer Kings Dominion over Knotts, since KD is much easier to have fun at with its low crowds and the already short lines of i305. Knotts always has long and slow moving lines which hinders it alot.
That's fair preferring Kings Dominion for the crowds.
Love your videos
Thanks!
@@CanobieCoaster your welcome
Did you ever come off something at Kings Island with a headache?
Banshee did in 2020.
I visited none. I visited all of the parks in New England though.
These are worth trying.
Question: is Six Flags going to merge with the Cedar Point amusement parks?
Most likely
I’ve only done Kings Dominion, Knott’s, and Michigan’s Adventure.
Get to cedar point or kings island I think there's a massive gap between 3 and 2 in the chain
Still fun parks.
Thanks!
Did you ever come off something at Kings Island disappointed?
Yes, Banshee when it rattled badly.
As soon as the video starts. I always think. Did they do the right thing and put Kings Island as number 1? Because it is.
Update: Got to number 2. They choose poorly.
Sorry, I love Cedar Point too much.
@@CanobieCoaster 2 words that put KI over CP.
Park Pride. Everybody loves to work there. And their operations are always the best. CP has none of this. They rest on their laurels.
@Feuerfr3i cedar point's operations are definitely dropping alot
The only Cedar Fair parks I have been to so far are Kings Dominion(my home park) and Carrowinds. I actually like Carrowinds better.
I prefer Carowinds as well of the two.
I actually had more fun at Kings Island than I did at Cedar Point.
I've heard several say that.
Did you ever come off something at Canada's Wonderland with a headache?
Flight Deck and Bat can.
Did you ever come off something at Worlds of Fun with a headache?
Prowler did in past years, but it's fine now.
I’ve only been to Knotts but been to universal and Disneyland more since I’m a Cali. But I would like to visit more cedar parks.
At least you're in a prime area for theme parks.
I'm looking forward to you doing another countdown for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation now that those parks have merged together with the parks in this chain ad well.
I may do that this winter.
I thought cedar fair owns 17 parks? It says that on their website
Maybe that includes water parks?
Did you ever come off something at Canada's Wonderland disappointed?
Yes, Guardian when the screens aren't working properly.
Kings Island could become #1 if they got an intamin launch coaster in my opinion.
That would be a nice add, but I'd still pick Cedar Point.
Kings Island
Cedar Point
Carowinds
Kings Dominion
Those are the only ones I've been to, but that's how I rank them.
Nice list!
kd is my home park and i rlly think by 2030 itll prolly be the third or second best on the list for cedar fair parks. the upcoming volcano replacement looks good. specs about anaconda getting replaced with the new ss axis could be amazing. maybe more space for a new coaster addition. idk maybe a family coaster. a hyper coaster would really also help its lineup alongside project305/i305. the theming is also drastically improving its insane how much theyre doing to the park
I'm looking forward to the launched wing coaster.
As a Canadian I think you're being too soft on Canada Wonderland, Carowinds kicks its ass imo; much less crowded and better coasters overall.
I agree Canada's Wonderland gets heavy crowds, but I like their unique lineup.
before I even watch the video I'm going To rep for Michigan's Adventure at the bottom. :)
My home park is always last.

Cedar Fair is great. Two things, CF does better than Six Flags off the bat are (food/concessions) and also security. Whenever I'm reading or watching the news and I see the words "Six Flags", I know there's going to be a wild and unfortunate video to follow.
I agree Cedar Fair tends to do better with food on average.

Yes, CP has some incredible coasters but I find the atmosphere and overall enjoyment at both KI and CW are better.
Hot take.
I could see Michigan’s Adventure get sold off to United Parks & Resort once Six Flags and Cedar Fair officially merged into the new ‘Six Flags’ company.
I don't think they'll sell the park. From what I understand, it makes a good profit without any major investment.
Will you be at six flags tomorrow, if not you should go!
Lmao you say that like there’s only one Six Flags
damn yeah I should’ve specified. I meant great adventure because tomorrow is its opening day. I didn’t know if he was going for opening day.
Crowds at Cedar Point are definitely annoying. Fast Lane sometimes feels like a necessity there.
It is based on roller coasters only it’s Cedar Point and it’s not close. But Kings Island has the better overall experience.
I still like Cedar Point overall.
I really hope the merger doesnt happen.
I thought it already did.

@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od Really, it's not crowds or anything like that. It's atmosphere mostly. I think the atmosphere of the park just isn't as up there as others.
