Their skill level and commitment to the game has allowed them to make incredible strides over the past 5 years. Similar to the rise of Switzerland who are know considered a medal contender every year at the Worlds. I am not saying Latvia will medal at the World Juniors this year but I will certainly be cheering them on to the medal round. For Canada, you need to stop thinking that nations like Latvia will roll over and die from fright about playing the "far superior" Canadian team.
