I've noticed that the picots look prettier on the reverse side. I love this pattern; it's the best triple picot pattern out there. I plan to do it on the reverse side.
+Dana Shaw Multiples determine the width of your item, it gives you some leeway in how wide you want your item to be. Multiple refers to how a stitch pattern is worked. If the multiple is 6 + 2, then your beginning chain can be any multiple of six (12, 18, 24, 30, etc.) plus two more stitches for the turning chain. If you want to make a narrow item, then you might choose to make your beginning chain 20 stitches (18 + 2). If you want to make a wider item, then you might choose to make it 32 stitches (30 + 2). This assures you that the stitch pattern will look correct and balanced when it is worked across the rows. I hope this answers your question.
