Over the years we have made and sold thousands of items (wood prints, pallet clocks and two time zone clocks) that we painted all kinds of shapes on - countries, states, animals, etc. To do that we used our own hand made stencils! In today's episode, I'm showing you exactly how you can make your own hand made stencil with a few simple tools and my own developed method. Enjoy!

Could I use a wood burning tool to use as a stencil cutter, if I purchased a pointed tip for it?
I’m not sure! Possibly. I think it’s worth a try as long as you are cutting the stencil on a glass surface.
I wonder if I could just print to a regular sheet of paper, tape it to the bottom of the film sheet, trace it with a marker on the film sheet and then use the stencil tool to cut out the shape? The film sheets I have are not the Dura-Lar in the 9 x 12 size.

I don't have access to a laser jet printer only an inkjet printer what process would I have to do to make sure it doesn't run
Is the acrylic paint mixed with medium
I used an inkjet printer a lot. As long as you don’t really press the ink you should be good with the hot cutter as your trace the lines.
