Looking at the calipers, a bolt on upgrade you may not know about is using 75-78 t-bird calipers the piston is 3/8" bigger which gives you oh most the same square inches as the dual piston 3/4 ton calipers. The only difference is the bolt that holds the brake hose on is bigger , but easy to buy. The T-bird uses a screw on hose apposed to the bolt on hose as the stock truck uses so those have to be bought separate. I know this works on the 4 wheel drive 1/2 ton trucks from this era so I would double check if 2 wheel and 4 wheel use the same calipers. Other wise if not never mind.

Nuther good un Cuz...@ 16 min may note that the bolt is a special one that has a taper to allow the clip to "float" preventing the caliper from binding. Also if you are reusing the old bearings, when/if you clean them with solvent...
DO NOT spin them with an air hose, very dangerous, they may come apart, OK to use air to clean/ dry them, just don't let them spin when doing it. Oh, another thing, put some black on the arms.

You spin the hub as your tightening the nut to seat the bearings, till it starts to get snug, then you back them off until the hub spins freely.

Question. I have done this and had to redo it a few times because there is a horrendous scraping coming from my front passenger wheel area only when the wheel is spinning. I have redone the bearings many times, replaced every brake items. I always notice when I put the spring and retainer in, that after it's all tightened down I cannot get the rotor to spin well, it is super tough to spin.
