Told me nothing was happening, I reply with all these links to clips of their employees doxxing people, strong-arming developers, being racist/sexist openly, and enabling/laughing about suicide. They dismissed all of it, making claims they "work in the industry" and 5 minutes of their "research" disproves the years of compiled (and ever-growing) evidence against them.
It was there and then, I realized there's no talking to these people. Like Flat Earthers or genuine schizophrenics. You can't convince them they're wrong, no matter what imperical evidence you provide.
They did the same during last elections and during covid. People not informed will believe it people who are informed are just conspiracy theorists. That's how they operate.

I work in a game store and i felt so bad for everyone who pre ordered the suicide squad delux ed. $170 AUS for THAT. I never buy games when they first come out and havnt for awhile now since learning more about what goes on with devs, unfinished releases and pandering.

We had these conversations about "video games making people violent" 20 years ago, and again around the time of the first GamerGate, and guess what... on both occasions findings proved that there was no connection. Hey everyone. Something weird happened on steam the other day. I got a friend invite from someone I never met or played with before. And so I checked their profile, and their steam profile was created like a week and half ago with 7 games and the games played were in 30-47 minutes except one apex legends. None of those games they had were no where close to being on my games list. And I tackled over time, hundreds of hours. And I play games till completion. I thought thats sus so I blocked them from sending another request. I’m not saying the person was a creep. But I am only accepting friends who I have actively played with or know. And even then I am checking steam profiles. If you are a new member or don’t have any games or completions. Then I will pass on tourist accounts. It’s just the wrong time to meet suspect account strangers. Am I being too jumpy??

I spend alot of money on games every single year, so it wont be a problem for me to skip releases like these. Better for my bank acct anyway. Not supporting these companies in any which way, shape, or form.
I own a backlog of over 1000 games. Even back to Atari 2600/Arcade/PS 2 times. The industry has to entice me to buy a new game. The games I already own will last a lifetime or even longer. I did collect games for over 30 years now.
I really do not need new ones. How can they even think I have no choice? I have over 1000 choices, and difficulty to decide what to play next.
Even new Gamers can still buy most of these old games. Make it make sense.

The entire gaming industry could implode and not release another game until the PS6 is out and I still probably won’t clear my backlog.
Considering that they plan to try to force a model of solely digital streaming (no physical ownership) for the next gen systems I am going to be more concerned about trying to flesh out my retro collection and make sure that my 360 and PS4 don't get bricking updates.

@EndymionTv did you know that Forspoken was supposed to be Final Fantasy: Agni's Philosophy as a game? Apparently, people loved the trailer for Agni's Philosophy so much that they called for it to be made into a game instead of just a visual demo. Whatever happened along the way, and we ended up with...Forspoken...for some reason. You can actually notice this was highly likely the case as the costume of the protagonist of Forspoken actually looks close to the outfit the protagonist of Agni's Philosophy is wearing.
With regards to Dragon's Dogma 2, there is a high possibility that some company like Sweet Baby is involved in it too, seeing as it has the usual marks of there being no Male and Female and instead have options "Body Type A or B". And instead of Man and Woman, there is Masculine and Feminine. You can see this on the Character Creation. And while overall the game might not be as horrible as something like Forspoken or Suicide Squad, the opposite likely, it is still going to be a problem later on.
Why? You can tell that the game will likely make bank. This means the money will feed into the source of the ESG-DIE money, and then later be used into injecting more and more of these things into more games in the future. This is the same case with Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. And IMO, this is likely why companies like Sweet Baby parasitically latch onto these already known IP's. Because the profits far outweigh the losses of the failed projects like Forspoken and Suicide Squad. They are getting back more than they are throwing out.
How is everything connected to DEI even legal within the USA? Especially the hiring practices at these companies. They have to discriminate against people based on race and sex at least to gain DEI status.

For me, AAA gaming started to be annoying at watch dog 2 (2016). Since then, the only game i've enjoyed was red dead redemption 2. I've skipped buying a ps5 because of that. It's probably in part because i'm getting older, but at least I dont support their bs anymore and I get to spend more time outdoor.

I've been developing a pixel art horror game for a few years now, focusing heavily on crafting a compelling storyline. In my efforts to improve storytelling, I've delved into various aspects of narrative creation. Set loosely in the 90s, I'm deliberately steering clear of modern American left-wing politics to maintain authenticity to the era I remember from my childhood. My aim is to authentically capture the attitudes and atmosphere of that time.
Throughout the game, I've woven in moral allegories such as sacrifice and salvation, but I wouldn't shoehorn in contemporary political allegory. It simply wouldn't fit with the narrative or the setting. Moreover, the demographics of the area where the game is set reflect a predominantly white population in the 90s, so it wouldn't make sense to artificially force ethnic diversity onto the entire cast.
If you were creating a horror game set in modern-day America, particularly on a California university campus, it might seem fitting to include "woke" elements given the setting. It would likely be an awful game, however at least it would make sense.

One example is games that choose to advertise primarily with the gender/race/orientation of the protagonist.
