Hey, you made it this far! Thank you for watching, make sure to come back & say hi before you leave... its not safe to go alone... - Ігри
I loved it when this guy chased me to the Shivering Isles while I was going through the Feldew dungeon. Such dedication. Truly fitting resident of the Isles.
Wow. I thought he couldn't get into the shivering isles! That is so cool!
He chased you high as a kite lol
He chased me to the Bravil wizard's grotto while fighting conjurers in the Arrow of Extrication quest. I couldn't understand how I was detected until he started swinging at me with his dagger
He chased me into an Oblivion Gate. I was in the Sigil Tower when he finally caught up to me. He literally followed me to Hell just to try to kill me.
He´ll chase you anywhere, To any cave, hell, ruin, tower, or isle, nothing beats scripted walking
Captain Itius: "Why should I trust you? You have no evidence!"
*Bribes Guard Captain Itius*
Captain Itius: "A corrupt guard captain, you say? What a scumbag!"
Irony at its finest.
Irony with gold
They call that "greasing the wheels of justice"
@@crunkers_ "Some call it bribes. Me, I call it financing the imperial watch"
A black dude and an orc, shaken down by a guard.
Damn.
"Sing for me, my little cliff racer..."
That line is such gold.
Yes! It's such a great line😁
"The gray fox must be hiding deep within that mug" lol
Lex is obviously going undercover, mingling with the common folk to catch any rumor about the Gray Fox.
a ''questionable'' 500 gold
My brother in Akatosh, did you not just bribe both of them?
I died seeing you set up Jensine swimming with Mudcrabs and Slaughterfish lol
Yeah I didn't expect that 😀
Jensine: i rather swim naked in a pool filled with slaughterfish and mudcrabs
Player: lterally? hold my ale...
lmao
I actually had this guy chase me in the shivering isles when I was in dementia, every single Dark Seducer pounced in him and it was the funniest thing.
You brought Wes Johnson to the Shivering Isles. Maybe he can meet the ruler of the realm, Wes Johnson.
Those silly smiles at the end of their speeches, never get old in Oblivion lol! xD
Especially when their disposition is the complete opposite of their set dialogue status
I did this mission and didn't think anything of it after getting him arrested. Later on in the middle of another quest I was sneaking around in a dungeon and he snuck up on me and scared the hell outta me. Safe to say he chose his final resting place.
"he chose his final testing place" 😂
@@LysyMortuus 💯 🤣
I'll never forget playing my very first character in this game on PS3 and stumbling across this quest by bumping into Laronk. Went through it and saw audins captured and was satisfied with the ending.... loved it over all.
A few in game days later i decided to explore the outer shore of the imperial lake. Found a sweet mythril night vision helmet really early and got some great loot, only for Audins to spawn and attack. Killed him, looted him, read his note...... and the game crashed as i closed it..... and the autosave hadnt fired for over an hour and a half......... i was still a noob and hadnt hard saved lol. I still do the quest religiously... while saving like a mad man while i wait for him to attack me lol.
I tried to confront him. But didn’t resist when arrested. Got 10 days in jail for my troubles.
He tried to attack me in a guild Hall. The other mages took care of him before I was fully awake.
Once I found his body outside a closed Oblivion gate!
Good one 😁
I would really love to see a series like this for Morrowind. So many great stories in that game that could use your production value to bring them to life.
He decided to come for me in cloudruler temple. I stayed the night after taking Martin an Jauffre there. The Blades were kind enough to let him in, but cut him down once he laid a hand on me.
It's impressive that he knew you were at cloudruler temple so far removed. Though maybe he likes the place because it's quiet.
@@dstreetz91 well he's a member of the psychic guard didn't he? 😁
I love in-depth analyses of this game. Keep them coming and I’ll keep watching
Used bribes on a guard to expose a corrupt guard
i used the corruption to expose the corruption.
Truly an elder scrolls moment
I love this quest. I ended it every time by waiting for him at the top of Frostcrag Spire, disarming him, then having an epic fist fight at one of the highest peaks in the game, obviously punching him off the edge at then end.
I like the way you think !
7:56 love your acting skills
13:15 hahaha nice added touch!
Haha cheers. Was my tribute to the over-the-top high elf cry for help 🤣
The cinematic way he does these videos are a big reason in why I love them/ keep watching :) keep it up Dash!! :)
I might have more fun watching your wonderful role playing & dialog on top of the quests themselves than I do playing Oblivion LOL
Ive never played Oblivion. Im here because I like his videos. 😅
I recently started playing oblivion again, and it's not the same from when I was a kid. The nostalgia has died and the flaws are sadly more apparent. Still love it, but I can't sit down for hours like I used to.
Its the opposite for me. I now appreciate things like the magic system , enchanting, alchemy, min maxing. Etc. I didn't engage with as a 12 year old.
@@jonwaardenburg5842I destroyed the game when I could finally run it on pc in like 2009, atleast for myself, I no clipped through a wall… and somehow that broke my immersion wholly, but I went back recently and it was amazing, the world is still as beautiful, vibrant, and silly as before
I like the music and atmosphere a lot more than Skyrim, and the cities feel more dense. @@jonwaardenburg5842
Hey Dark LORE Dash, any plans to do this kind of storytelling for Morrowind or Skyrim? Your narrations and coverage really do take these narratives to the next level. It feels like watching an elder scrolls show, with each mission being it's own episode. Doing great work man!
I timed the Umbra quest for his escape, lured him down into Vindasel, went invisible, and let him distract Umbra while I snuck behind her for a surprise hit
Hmm...that's a good idea...
Wait, that should be a way to do Umbra at level 1. Usually you just trap her in the poison cloud.
But with this the whole "lure her to the guards and let them take care of it" plan should work. If you just attack her, the guards go after you because you were the aggressor.
I have played oblivion for countless hours on three generations of consoles and I somehow missed that quest. Thank you so much for this channel. You fill me in on all the ways a quest can go that I haven't played out, or quests I just didn't know about at all. 🎉🎉🎉
When I played, the guard attacked me while I was inside an oblivion gate.
Now that's dedication. I didn't kill him. I just ran to the Sigil Stone and left him abandonded in the realm of Oblivion
I guess that means I spared him :PO
He is incredibly dedicated and angry. He will become the Doomslayer of the planes of oblivion
He´ll close another gate just to get back at chasing you!
As for myself, he showed up inside the mansion during the Whodunit quest for the Dark Brotherhood questline. It's funny, if all exits are locked so the guests cannot leave, how on earth did Avidius manage to get inside?
@@TheDenshProblem guess there truly was a ... 7th guest with murder in their mind.
@@HappyBeezerStudios Dude was such an incredibly spy, he intercepted every message and conversation between Brotherhood members without raising any suspicion. Ultimately hiding within the mansion before the quest takes place in order to be locked inside along with the Hero of Kvatch just to get that one chance for revenge.
...while wearing sack cloth armed with a butterknife against what he must have known was a highly exceptional assassin tasked with murdering five people.
I love this guy! I've played Oblivion for years, and he's revealed things about Oblivion I didn't know
I actually had that bastard Avidius follow me into Bruma Oblivion gate during the quest Defense of Bruma. Dude see that huge ass Daedric Siege Crawler. I literally don't have time for this!
"Will we let the same happen to Bruma that happened to Kvatch? No, we have Audens Avidius with us, on a mission for revenge!"
lol jensine and her poor derpy nose xD. i walk in there sometimes and just get giggle fits
You have gotten so good are these videos! The seemless translation to other options of dialog is perfect!
Gotta love the concept of "justice" in games like this. With a small collection of conspirators numbering only 3, you can get anyone arrested without evidence. The spun tale doesn't even have to sound convincing; your two partners basically said the same exact story and Itius just... accepts it as truth.
Not to mention that you might need to bribe a guard to accept your tale about a corrupt guard.
"Here, take this money as a .... personal contribution to justice. There is a corrupt guard, I need you to arrest him. I have two very convincing witnesses."
Yes more Oblivion videos! I love them! You're doing great content with this game, keep the oblivion videos coming I'll keep watching them! ❤
I've recently reinstalled Oblivion and this dude jumped me in the Imperial Market. I ran to the nearest guard and let the Legion take care of one of their own gone bad.
Now I see his corpse by the side of Divine Elegance every time I loot dump.
His bodies stays? Does his inventory reset? You might just found a permanent container to stash loot.
Keep up the great work lots of oblivion yet to cover!
Thanks! Will do!
I really like how you tell the quest like a story
13:20 Thank you. You have gone above and beyond. 🤣
He attacked me in the imperial sewers, with some bandits I thought he became the leader of the bandits.
Now THAT would be a turn
So glad to see your channel blowing up in the last year. Your content has been amazing for a long time. Awesome bro
I definitely agree 👍
I've played Oblivion since launch and have never seen this quest.
You always knock it out of the park, bro. 🤙
Didn't expect to actually see Jensine fighting mudcrabs :D. Good one.
Thanks! I heard her say the line a few times & went... nah I gotta make this visual a reality.
I adore Oblivion for its wide range of missable quests that are secretly hidden gems, just like this one. I recently replayed Oblivion for the first time since I was a little kid and stumbled across this quest, was pleasantly surprised at how this quest resolved. Then I forgot about it and when I was randomly attacked in Anvil it caught completely by surprise! Imagine the "Ohhh" moment when I killed him and looted the note. Such a neat little quest wrap-up.
There are so many quests that don't just evolve into "kill bandits/draugr/dragons/vampires at that location".
A lot of stuff is more about talking and social engineering. The existance of mercantile and speech truly are deserved.
Hands down the best Elder Scroll Lore channel on UA-cam. Always entertained and always looking forward to a new one. Love it! 🙌🏼
Ahh the old Corrupt Watch Captain Audens Avidius, get him arrested for his reign of terror and he'll break out in a few days and proceed to chase you throughout Cyrodill no matter WHERE. Slay him? Charm him? Slay him? nothing. Charm him? He'll live wherever he hunted you, even in the sewers with a knife, a note about slaying you, Luronk, Ruslan, and only a few gold coins. Lol.
That flying corn in the background XD 22:48
“I’ll let you live this time, cur!”
As he sees there is no pulse…
Love your videos Dash! I honestly think I've watched every single one of your Oblivion videos. Do you think you'd ever cover all of the daedric shrine quests?
13:15 This is real effort! Thanks for the astonishing visualisation :D
Today on The Elder Scrolls IV: Wes Johnson
Wes is corrupt
Wes is having a beer
And Wes is arresting Wes
when this dude attacked me for some reason it made all the guards in the town i was in attack me.
0:39 OMG! I have played this game so many times and am currently in the Shivering Isles but I have never been in or even heard of this place. WOW!
Brilliant Video, Bravo! As always, such good commentary, game play and a narrative too.
😂 Once again, hats off to another great episode. You really went the whole nine yards with this one. Loved the ending!
May I ask what the cruel consequence was? I thought maybe the two witnesses may turn up dead.
Anyone ever had him attack you during the mehrunes dagon entering the imperial city scene?
I like when you finish a conversation with someone and they're like, "what do _you_ want??"
Glad you covered this quest
Your videos keep getting better and better!
Dark Lore video comes out.....Well yes, Ill take some of that, thank you..... :)
Love your videos, very great quality and thoroughness.....Appreciate you.....
Taking my wares without paying for them
Thats probably just radiant AI
"We're promptly stopped by an imposing orc.." *Shrek*
13:17 Amazing just hilarious!
Two roommates fighting corrupt cops. How relatable
I always enjoy seeing where Audens Avidius manages to follow me after I get him arrested. More than once, he's attacked me inside the Kvatch Oblivion Gate. Other times, it's in a random dungeon when I least expect it.
He showed up in Frostcrag Spire, scared the crap out of me because NOTHING ever shows up there.
He invaded my house first playthrough, I thought it was some random beggar going ape shit. For some reason after trying to surrender to him numerous times he suddenly became passive and there I just assumed he was now a butler in my own manor. Wierd.
I Loved this quest when i was little!
"Say what you're going to say."
*dumps a good 100 or so septims on the floor*
"Thank you. That's very kind."
After finishing this quest, he eventually attacked me a hack dirty. He was the second guy to attack me while I sleep in the inn.
There is a great glee to put down corruption
So wait...to report a corrupt watch captain...we have to bribe another watch captain?...By the time this video is over, the entire Imperial Watch would be guilty 😂
He literally looks like BELLICK from prison break.
I must have played Oblivion for thousands of hours... Never seen this man.
It's amazing, isn't it? I think I am guilty of perhaps following the same path a bit. I try to explore but there's so much to miss!
@@DarkLOREDash it's wonderful, and only makes you wonder what else was there all along. A truly immersive experience
Doing this quest actually saves the Dunmer in cheydinhal who sings about the cliff racer and saint jibb
Oh? I'm trying to put my finger on how they are related 🤔
Classic Oblivion, always despawning NPCs when done with em. Other NPCs that get jailed also disappear immediately, like the bandit leader Selene.
14:39 we need to WHAT
Great video for the stories in the comments, makes me want to do the quest, wonder when he’ll sneak up on me?
Holy! Jensine despised you! 13 disposition
I have a way with women 😌
At least this time people can't complain the video thumbnail has the NPC in a dress haha.
I'm not sure if anyone has commented about this yet. When I tried to preemptively take Audens out he detected me after the first arrow. He then proceeded to behave just as he did before as a watch captain even though he's in jail for me now. Then before loading back I had the choice of resisting arrest, pay the gold, or go to jail myself. If you want to have a good laugh save and try this out. The resist arrest is especially funny since the guards who are guarding the jail come to his aid too. 😂
Yes! The wiki says he retains his guard package but he didn't for me. Bet it was quite a shock 😝
@@DarkLOREDash thank you so much for the reply! It sure was. I'm on the PS3 version until I can afford a PC so that explains why that happened. XD
Actually, I expected that Audens Aviducus after breakout would kill some NPC if you didn't take him out.
I'm baffled that I have 1000+ hours in Oblivion and never played this quest...
22:48 Who threw that corn?
Idk this guy is the best
Darklore Dash accusing Jensine of being a porn purveyor and telling innocent citizens to finger guard captains
Wilburgur?!
Ya. The persuasion mechanic was one of the things that just didn't work in this game. It always ends up a bribe. Lol
you are too lazy to do the minigame
-> doesn't work
@@udozocklein6023 been playing this game for over 15 years. Me being lazy is not the same as the game not being engaging or entertaining enough to design something to want to sink the time into. If you want to know how it is broken. You can literally just keep on playing that mini game to increase your speechcraft skill until it becomes a lot easier. But to an almost an absurd amount of time. Kind of like jumping everywhere to increase your acrobatics skill.
@@nexusofice9135 agreed but the game still works even with speechcraft 15. It is not as broken as most other things in oblivion^^
@@udozocklein6023 I agree it works. But I'm not stating it didn't work on a mechanic level. It didn't work as far as holding somebody's attention and being enjoyable to play. It definitely didn't work in that regard. That's what I was referring to.
True, fair enough! I wish it was better, though. I tried a few mods but none of them actually fixed it. "Persuasion Overhaul" was the best but i mean... not better than spamming bribe and just ignoring the game-mechanic@@nexusofice9135
These videos make me miss the Oblivion VAs, especially Michael Mack.
9:49 not for much longer. lol. perhaps fate will be kind.....................
Give lex a break it’s the dead of night lol
...Why are you not doing let's roleplays? Your voice would be perfect for it! Incase you don't know, a let's roleplay is like a normal let's play, except you stay in character, acting and playing in character. Rycon Roleplays is an example of a good let's roleplayer if you want to see some examples.
5:14 why she has only one nostril?
Sometimes when people are reluctant to give information like Ruslan you can use the speech minigame to loosen their lips.
i really the game didnt need to LGBT Stuff "Subtext" the quest would alot stronger if delt with idea of hombipic police to it face
very well written, thank you
I get gay couple vibes from Ruslan and Luronk 😂
🕶️🐹🔪
Damn, your character is so strong they learned the TCL spell!! 😂😂😂
