Jay’s easily a Top 5 bodybuilder of all time and has the best videos on practical bodybuilding advice. He is a true artist who is a master of his craft

Working out to failure! Repitively hard, but at the same time easy. Eating thousands upon thousands of calories each, and every day? Oh hell no, don't touch me with that. I struggle eating just a thousand! Eating sucks! I mean I am terminally ill, so yeah you can cry me a river as I'm to weak myself, but who cares that is besides the point. Even in my prime I hated eating like 4k a day. Seeing what the elite athletes eat I am like yeah screw that. I think it would make me food adversed having to stuff my gullet so often. So hearing Jay be like, "ugh.. More food." Is nice to hear. I'd be depressed too. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a 2,000 calorie pill? I think so. Fun fact! I really liked the part about different bodybuilding styles, it would be cool if you made a video going over the styles of multiple accomplished bodybuilders to show that there is more than one way to achieve your lifting goals!
I don't buy that. You can't know if you are even building muscle if you are fat. More mass on that gigantic mass will radically decrease your skin quality. You would even hurt your chances to get ready for a show in time. I don't think many elite bodybuilders do/did huge bulks. At least not nearly as often as we seem to think. From what I see they get their bodyfat to healthy levels in the off season to function and train properly. Of course that might mean 30 pounds of fat and so much eating the week after competing, also absorbing a lot of water and getting back on water retaining drugs etc. So they sometimes look obese/bloated with clothes on and due to bad lighting, but they don't really go on stupid bulks.

He usualy does partial reps but in the stretch which actually works great. In fact many bodybuilders do that.
Odd, Jay has alot of Range of Motion though and we're talking about OLYMPIA size bodybuilders here and their movement is very limited since they grow so big it's like wearing 50 clothes all at the same time. Jay has top of the line genetics, he's smart aswell and took care of his body and his health right now is proof of this and his range of motion at 5'9 too like bruh im amazed he can still do good ROM with that size.
A 300lb guy isn't going to be able to move his joints as much as Johnny pencilneck
A 300lb guy isn't going to have the ROM of Johnny pencilneck.
Do Ronnie next
and Arnold
Yeh budddaaayyy
@@nikkijones9713 Yep Yep Yep!
That photo of Jay (we all know the one) is unreal, one of the most iconic photos in sport
After about 4-5 years I started training instinctively vs having a written structured program. Worked well for me 22 years ago, and still works well.
Dr Mike loves it in Deep so his pickle gets well and truly tickled...
Can anyone mention the background music at 0:03
That just a gamer UA-camrs outro music
Street fighter 😂
Can we get some strongman reviews please?! Would love to see a breakdown and blushing 😊 over those 400 lbs muscle gods, plus how/what they eat is just so unique I think it'd be fun! Tons of interesting footage from lifting more weight than any other human can, to what Martin Licis is doing as a traveling strongman. They mostly seem like great guys which we can all gain some sort of inspiration from.
3 different ads, very low amount of information, very little critique compared to previous videos. Shrinkflation is even hitting our RP videos damn.
unreasonably early and first
Jay looks so much more at ease and in greater shape since he retired
I've been shifting my focus lately to internal muscle feel. It's crazy how much you can alter a lift with really subtle changes that are basically invisible to an observer.
Is this whole video just one giant ad?
Are you new to the internet?
Enshitification taking place 😢

Man, I am so with you on wanting to go back to the old Golds Gym on Sandhill. To this day, still my favorite gym I have been to. Nothing else like it. I felt like it was a death in the family when they closed it down.
I started with Magnus program and found your channel and dropped that subscription and joined yours. It’s amazing.
I dropped 145 pounds last year, I sweat like crazy when im in my gym, thats the only thing I focus on for the day is a pump and the sweat! Started having issues some days with my biceps locking up. I went to my medical guy that works at the gym, awesome guy named Mike! He truly is a MVP! I was like bro, why is this problem keep happening to me. He is like, it sounds like you are dehydrated... Im like, even though I drink almost a gallon of water while Im there, my mike also sounds exactly like Dr Mike here!! Water isnt enough, he also recommended me to try the LMNT... drink 1 about an hour before your workout, another right after... guess what, no more bicep locked up issues, never heard of it before but it really did work!! Helped me out, just passing on!
How about just Gatorade?
4:16 I legit thought is was Will Farrell
Jay is still in amazing shape and very little signs of injuries. He is an example of lifting to the extreme done right.
Jay cutler is the true meaning of the word bodybuilding all about pump not weight still fit and strong in retirement some of the best triceps on any bodybuilder
Dr. Mike!! Love your content! Learn a ton and laugh my ass off! You rock!
I'm not into body building but I really enjoy your videos. Witty, entertaining, and informative.
The pause to stop and appreciate J.C’s lack of neck had me dying 😂😂😂😂
Good stuff Dr. Peak Cutler was a thing of beauty if you're into that sort of thing....kkk bodybuilding of course. Please review John Meadows. He had some interesting & great methods, techniques & hacks on how to maximize muscle gain, hypertrophy, the pump & even breaking through plateus. RIP MountainDog.
In the early 00's I took a lot of jays training advice from muscle and fitness articles and applied them to my own training which lead to me eventually build my biggest and best physique by 06. ( Also when he talks I hear peter griffin )
first time everyone could predict the RP Hypotrophy app ad coming. Saved on the editor much? I rebel! Give us back the unpredictability! PAY YOUR EDITOR MORE!!!
Dr.Mike you should do a side series were you train semi out of shape ppl, would be funny af, as well as inspiring.
To focus on internal cues in the squat I found that turning around and NOT facing a mirror worked wonders for me. My squat became so much better and I could focus more. Just a tip for you folks if you are not already doing it.
Read all the books out there OR hang out with Doc Mike occasionally. Simply the best.
Dr Mike describing Jay's body is Priceless as usual😂
Even as he does the ad placement, he is generous and accommodating. This or something similar, he said. Thanks, doc.
Jay is awesome on so many levels!🙌 I’m proud to be an affiliate of @cutlernutrition! Awesome supps, workout advice and super nice guy. I give him mad props for still being in phenomenal shape even after retiring from bodybuilding!💪
I would love for someone to talk about the way J Cutler performs his reps by dipping into the stretched position/end of the last rep and then goes through the full range of motion. It's like he does the most extreme stretched part of the range at the start
