I didn't know back in the early days of Walt Disney World that the seven seas lagoon used to have a firework show of their own, complete with performers flying on gliders featuring fireworks on those gliders
They had the first version, I believe of the Electrical Parade, which was the water parade you were referencing. This became legendary. I will find a version and post it for you. The music was early synthesizer created and was way ahead of its time, as usual. The music they choose is usually the strongest element of their creativity. Disney really pioneered how to use music in the parks and in videos.
Yes, an update. But this one has so much enthusiasm and detail. You can tell they knew they were making something special. Too bad they are lost on what to do with the attraction lately. I don't understand the politics that determine ride creation and maintenance these days, but I bet you and I could agree on what to do with SM in seconds! Just return it to its original form as much as possible. Tinkering the theme around the corners is waste of time. Let the people decide. If you want a new roller coaster, make it. But don't take away these classic rides. The company needs to think more long-term, like they used to. They are running scared after the almighty dollar these days and it's sad.
The original version of the magic of Walt Disney World came out in 1971 on the wonderful world of Disney, am I correct as that ? Did it come out originally on the wonderful world of Disney from its original format without the information and promotion of Space Mountain ?
Hi, Daniel! I think you are right, but I have a feeling these films, the many versions of TMOWDW, were also shown in theatres and to select groups on the big screen. I just wish I could have seen one in its original form. It's already a beautifully crafted and scored film. But to see it on a huge format screen would have been overwhelming. I have never seen so much footage of the long-gone Swan Boats that circled the hub! They had so many outstanding ideas. All gone, some in months from the opening day. We are so lucky the park survived the 70's, which were very regressive, and our economy was at its weakest in decades. Thanks for your support! I am glad you enjoyed these shows.
