I've been getting chemo due to being diagnosed with lymphoma and today in particular I felt horribly fatigued and debilitated like there was sludge in my body. I slept in late and wanted to stay in bed all day but I decided no, I gotta work thru this and help my body feel better proactively. I can not believe how much better I felt after this routine!!! I feel like myself again! I'm new to yoga and I absolutely love this channel.

So I'm Really trying to stay active as much as possible. I lost a lot of strength and I'm trying to get it back. But with all these pains, it's not that easy, I have to be Very mindful as I'm re-entering my yoga practice. I Used to be able to do Soo much more. I Really want my health back. I came to this one on day 8 of dry January with a headache, and it massively muted it, kudos! It also made my hips feel awesome, and I loved the stretch towards the end where you go from lying on your front and bring your leg to the side, my back was grateful.

This practice felt so good! I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and my hips and low back are very painful on the daily. I've been practicing for 4 years now daily (ok,mostly daily!) and I must say, I would not be able to live the quality of life I do if it weren't for YWA 🙏

This day 29 of March calendar, for a healthy liver, was rather challenging for me. No vinyasa flows but new super yummy twists, recognising my limitations but reaping the benefit. I still need to improve my arm strength in downward dog but keep breathing deep. After 2 years starting a bit late in life, I am still a beginner but love it so Adriene ☺️ in that last twist I felt it hard to breathe into my belly 🤔where had it gone 😂 see you on the mat tomorrow for grounding practice 🧘🏼♀️🙏💞

You can dismiss this as merely my opinion, but it's far more than that, it's what the overwhelming majority of the best scientific evidence available shows us. It's also the opinion of the overwhelming majority of scientists and health professionals worldwide. Sure, you can find thousands of books and Chinese "doctors", acupuncturists, yogis, etc. who will claim different, but they are not scientists, and they have no evidence. The only evidence ever offered is either purely anecdotal or at best, it's dubious "research" that's easily debunked and shown to be lacking solid evidence in numerous ways. I'm sure you'll take this as me being a know-it-all jerk, and that's fine, but I'm not. I once believed in all of this too. I am disabled with serious health issues and have wasted many years and thousands upon thousands of dollars on useless nonsenses like acupuncture, Chinese medicine, herbal cleanses, naturopaths, alternative medicine, and more, and not one bit of it did any good for me. Yes, that's merely anecdotal, but once I became scientifically literate and forced myself to look at my beliefs and the lack of evidence behind the and the dubious sources they came from, I realized I had been fooled and was merely believing what I wanted to, not what the evidence pointed to. I was believing people who either had something to gain from selling me a world view and a product, or people who simply believed in it so much that they had a placebo effect from the things I mentioned. I'm not trying to change your mind about what you believe, but I certainly hope this channel will not become a source of spiritual mumbo jumbo and dubious and pseudoscientific medical claims. I love this channel and I think you're great. Yoga is great for us physically and mentally and can be life-saving and life-changing for so many without all of the baseless anecdotal claims and beliefs brought into it. There is already more bad advice and pseudoscientific nonsense out there in the health and fitness world than there is good, effective, scientifically proven information and products, and it's nice to have a source of good yoga practice that does not constantly make dubious claims or incorporate too much of the spiritual mumbo jumbo. If someone wants to delve into Chinese medicine or be spiritual on their own, great, but please, please allow this to be about the exercise that we know works, not claims that can never be proven valid.
Magical practice today!
This day 29 of March calendar, for a healthy liver, was rather challenging for me. No vinyasa flows but new super yummy twists, recognising my limitations but reaping the benefit. I still need to improve my arm strength in downward dog but keep breathing deep. After 2 years starting a bit late in life, I am still a beginner but love it so Adriene ☺️ in that last twist I felt it hard to breathe into my belly 🤔where had it gone 😂 see you on the mat tomorrow for grounding practice 🧘🏼♀️🙏💞

What an amazingly delicious and yummy practice. That felt great. I usually practice with my eyes closed but today happened to peek right at the beginning during the twist and saw a hummingbird joining you. What a neat surprise.

So today I deviated from the October Calendar, because I've been feeling some type of way, and I know my Liver needs some loving. This was such a great practice, didn't realize how quickly the class went by. Much needed. May to practice this a few times more so that my liver becomes happy once again. Thank you Adriene.
