- Tour of HackPittsburgh for you guys! This is where I often go to make stuff especially when I need to use a mill, lathe, belt sander, CNC, laser cutter, or other larger tools that I can't afford. The other great thing about HackPittsburgh is the community. The community is one of the best things about this place. I love just going there and hanging out with the other members and having a beer. It's pretty awesome because there are so many engineers, hobbyists, and other awesome people that have awesome stories and project. The shear amount of knowledge in this place will blow your mind!

Awesome place. I remember in 70s "trade schools" were very common. I took welding. Retired last year from a great trade someone taught me.
wd40 ducttape your username are the most useful items in my life
Awesome space.
I especially liked the the clips at the end that show what some of the things do... but I also loved the introduction of what the things are.
Cool to see! Whe have something similar here at my school, but way smaller, less tools, very clean, only clean machines. Not a real shop like this.
The 'burning' of that hammer is really cool!
nice space! greetings from our fablab in cologne, germany! 🔧🔨🔩
What a cool place !! great share ..
Pretty awesome space! Wish I lived close enough to use it.
There could be one close to where you live. They are literally all over the place. wiki.hackerspaces.org/List_of_Hacker_Spaces
Thanks!
Makerj101 we have one in Waco Texas and it nothing like that it is like it's run by the king of OCD but I like the way the Pittsburgh one runs things
Is it a makerspace or hackerspace? Makerspaces tend to be a little cleaner and the rules tend to be tighter. Hackerspaces tend to be a bit looser. They serve different types of people and communities.
Makerj101 ooohhhh it makes sense now
