- The finale is finally here. This has been an amazing journey and a crazy way to celebrate christmas eve! Thank you everyone who read the story, and if you still haven't and just found out about CSAU today, watching this video, what are you waiting for!?

I feel like the fact that, in CSAU, the ultimate reward stays normal, as opposed to the flipping & whitening of the ultimate reward (turning it into caliborns third and final juju) in [S] Act 7 represents that in Homestuck, the kids beat the game, earning the right to move from a hellhole game construct to a marginally less hellish, significantly more real, fate. But in this timeline, they win. Win. They win an unwinnable game, dispel an undispelable curse, break an unbreakable rule, all by swimming into a pond and proving that pond's right to be.
God I love this story so much I literally just did a literary meta-analysis of a fucking door. Of my own volition. I don't even like English class. What the heck Meraki.

It feels so stupid that Skaia and Sburb would only ever produce one timeline that wasn’t doomed to be, well, doomed! Yes, there would still be more doomed offshoots than successful ones but in theory a properly happy ending like this SHOULD not only be possible but SHOULD have been explored and thank you so much for doing exactly that!
Many think doomed timelines and their strictness as we know them is lord english's fault
Yeah, but it also demands that time loops must be closed and Caliborn ensured that English's existence is a time loop. John's retcon was really the only option to not be doomed to fail by time's own continuity as they were doomed to create English instead if that didn't happen. In a way the sburb house was the ultimate weapon, the only way to beat English is to make a timeline where he never happened.
It may not be canon and it may not be doomed, but it's the timeline ending we all wanted and deserve
It took 6 years, but this feels like the conclusion to Homestuck I wanted back when it finished in 2016. Feels nice to finally bury the hatchet and all that. It's amazing how hard Hussie fumbled canon tbh, all he need to do was something like this and I think we all would've been more than ready to pack it up and move on. Releasing it on Christmas Eve is really funny, but I really appreciate all the effort you put in to really give this comic a proper send off. I'm curious what the epilogues will be like, and I wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors, Meraki!
To be fair, Andrew Hussie wasn’t in charge of the Homestuck^2, the journey ended with his canon with the first than those sequels, he only had Yiffany as his final jab at how they changed everyone. I think.
@@coconuttydragoon3445 did i ever mention homestuck^2? no. the credits and epilogue both kind of blew in comparison to this. he didnt need to leave room for a sequel, but he did, and it sucked. all im saying was something like this would have been enough.

I got into this late, but I'm happy to see it. I believe I'd like this to be my new canon. A lot happier, a lot less drama, maybe a little corny, but so, so much more satisfying.
Okay I’ve done the math, there are a total of 33 characters
+13 if you count the exiles, felt members, almost the midnight crew and Ms. Paint
16 Trolls. 15 Humans. One Jaspers and one Calliope. Yup that adds up.

This was so beautiful and my favorite parts were all the funny far-away shots of people, both equiuses having the time of their lives with horses, and kanaya openly sobbing about all the babies ^w^

I usually don't enjoy fan fiction, but this was good enough to hurt me in a similar way that Homestuck hurt me when it ended. I think that means this was really good. Thanks for the emotions and stuff.

This was absolutely amazing. It feels like you were able to establish stakes without unnecessary tragedy leading to this cathartic conclusion. That’s what it is, pure catharsis. The happy ending more characters should have gotten.
It feels like through this story you really grasped the core of each of the characters and how everyone wanted to work towards being better. I can’t wait to see what you do with the epilogue as this whole story has been a treat to read.
Following this AU felt like how I imagine the others followed the original one back in the day

I absolutely loved every second of this, just as I did the whole Crow Strider AU. THIS is how Homestuck should have ended. With all the whimsy and passion that filled it from the start.
I am concerned about why there is no Hearts Boxcars running around with the rest of the crew, but I am probably forgetting a reason that he is not among the potential survivors. Brilliant AU, thank you for making it. I am looking forward to the epilogue!

Here we are at the end, the journey was long, but now we can move forward with a satisfying ending. Thank you for making this project ms. Sunset, it touched the hearts of all of us. Even though it has ended and that should be sad, it feels like a Christmas gift, and a really good one at that.

I loved this story so much! Merry Christmas! This was such a nice way to start off Christmas Eve! Also I like how there were notes on the Dancestors, which kinda makes me think that after they all entered they would’ve found a way to bring some version of them all back tbh. And I loved how the kids from the Epilogues were also there! Now I wanna draw fanart of this and what I think would’ve happened after- tbh the ending Homestuck Epilogues had, I always considered as the bad endings of the series, so since all the players got a happy ending in this one, who’s to say the dancestors don’t either? Plus John still has his retcon powers so ye- and I’m so excited to read the Crow Strider epilogues now that I know it’s getting them too! Sorry for the ramble btw I just loved this ending-
