Real Antiques Not Seen in Years at Huge, Opulent Vintage Emporium!

- The bridge is out, and we can't find the highway sales anymore. Fortunately, Xeno says he knows a great antiquing stop nearby that I haven't seen, out in the middle of nowhere. I'm intrigued!
In a once-abandoned 1920s schoolhouse, Irish Acres Gallery looms by a country road near Versailles, Kentucky...and it's full of things that might be just as home in its palatial French namesake! This place is amazing, a vast emporium of real antiques and valued vintage that offers a feast for the eyes--and a lot of great old things we haven't seen in years.
From the elegant foyer to the graciously overstuffed anterooms, this place offers a step into an opulent past that stands ready to furnish future graceful homes. Italian chandeliers, gilded pier mirrors and highly carved mahogany cabinets are festooned with Nippon and Old Paris vase sets, Murano perfume bottles and many other tremendous examples of elegant antique decorative pieces. Waylande Gregory pottery, quality Blenko glass and vibrant oil paintings accent room after room filled with painted French furniture, 1880s music boxes, American Gothic revival pieces, even a room full of artist bronzes and studio pottery!
This is a great place to explore and learn hands on about things they have in abundance here that we rarely see in antique stores today; and when we need a break, our gracious hosts treat us to their trademark 'Nonesuch Kiss' ice cream dessert in their Glitz Restaurant, a gleaming underground eatery with incredible atmosphere in a once dusty basement! Irish Acres is the achievement of a half-century of antique trading, and we're so grateful to get to see a store of this caliber with true antiques that mostly are only seen in private collections.

These r the antiques I own and have inherited so glad u went high end for this vid and it is more difficult to find these kind of dealers and antique stores mostly because people's tastes r more cheap and ikea these days and can't afford the artistic luxuries
Good evening, George! Loved that old music box. I seriously like those hanging Victorian parlour lamps, but not so much the ones that have been monkied with and electrified. I have two of the mini "Cosmos" Consolidated Glass lamps, along with a beverage set and a table set. That was an amasing place!!! Not a lot to say tonight...feeling a bit like death gnawing on a fossilised bone. Thanks for that amasing tour!!! That would definitely be the place to go to furnish a large Victorian home.
I'm such a fan of those music boxes! Parlour lamps as well (agreed they need to be left alone). You have every cool beverage set imaginable! I'm in a similar way of feeling tonight but we'll both feel better soon. Thanks and have a good rest!
