Great video. What I liked especially was you showing your haul at the end- you don't always do this and it makes SUCH a positive difference. Thank you!
I just recently come by your videos and absolutely LOVE ❤️ them!!!! You’re so knowledgeable and love the fact you take your time to show us different items tell us price they’re asking and talk a bit about them & what they’re worth! Thank you!!!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
23:33 "Do this, don't do that Can't you read the sign? Love the sound of rain on a metal roof, but not the feel of metal on my teeth metal cups hurt my teeth. They did keep the Kool aid cold in the summertime though. I know I can't be alone with this memory. Whenever I see the metal colored cups I think of summers being a child when the days seemed to be so much longer and life was forever.
I just found you❤ from Laura Caldwell..with leftcoast revivals. I also am suffering from some insomnia and you've made my night so much more bearable. The knowledge you have is amazing ❤ thank you
Hello George, I really enjoyed watching this episode. Also, I owned the same Avon small luggage in the early seventies, you bought back memories from my college days as I was a par-time Avon Representative trying to earn a few dollars to fill my gas tank so I could commute to school! Now days one can conveniently take many classes on line at anytime. How times have changed! Thank you for sharing Arrivederci!
Learned two new things about you...1. you are a comedian 🤣 chopsticks for the Mexican restaurant was priceless 2. tornado chaser, in all seriousness I'm glad you guys are safe. This was a great video and made me want to visit the area.
Hi George @27:53 the basket looking purse to the left in reddish-brown, on Bottom would say longaberger, its called the sisters bag, sells used for $125 and if found new in box $250. Its part of the. New generations idea. They made purses instead of baskets and drove the business in the ground. But they are high quality and still very marketable. Very happy you and Xeno made it home safely. Some of the dinnerware you bought, Port Marion keeps showing up in the Vegas Goodwill stores but most of our friends there don't like to sell plates because of shipping. I'm seeing that there's definitely a limitation to the all online business model with the high cost of shipping and of course the risk with shipping. Don't know if you have heard Danni is closing her store this month. Lots of building issues that the landlord wouldn't want to fix and just a lot of factors. But too bad. It was an interesting model. I wish you and Xeno a Very Merry Christmas and we'll see you in the next live I make it to.
Hi there! So glad you tipped me off, I did not know Longaberger made purses too and I should go back and look at that, I left one other thing I meant to buy as well. Portmerion is great stuff, I would think most people who would buy out of Vegas would be west coast because shipping just makes it prohibitive otherwise. I did watch Danni's news, and I'm sorry that it didn't work out, I know the concept is very near and dear to her but she had trouble with the landlord from the moment she moved in and that was not good. Merry Christmas and we'll hope to see you in a live soon!
You mentioned a couple of times about cutting mirrors for replacement. Having worked for my former in laws glass shop, We would have some better pieces remirrored in Louisville at the same Disco Ball maker that you have mentioned before. They don’t work with many people but on occasion will redo a mirror once they get enough in queue or it fits into their production schedule. We would save up a bunch to bring down from Northern Kentucky at the time. It’s not particularly cheap but if you have time to wait and a few pieces worthy. Really nice people. We were lucky enough to watch the process of a few things they were working on. I may have mentioned this to you before. The memory fades.
I love the goose neck lamp (including the great shade of green) and the clocks! This video was suspenseful. I just watched the video showing the tornado destruction you, friends, and family survived 2 years ago. But it also had fun, and as usual, great information and tips. Thank you.
There are too many things in this that brought memories to share...never knew the name but dad still has mom's lock and lift...(never knew the perfect name , with a broken handle on top mom and this is fabulous with an improved molded in handle...mom's is turquoise and that milky clear plastic color) used even when I moved back to home state in 2007...being back so aware of family to family food share and serve things...and the old radio...I had a old one of great grandparents on my desk with a cool substantial dial...sigh...such memories...magic to have all the music there!!
W 47th Street would be NYC - a very famous street - the Diamond District. Kind of makes sense. The two business that Jewish families in NYC were in - and still are - jewelry and appliances.
When I was a kid in the seventies those cake saver plastic containers were all the rage. We were forever having functions. One day when I was a kid we were in Pennsylvania and the whole family was making dozens of pies and cakes to go to a family function that day. They ran short by one and decided it would be okay. The strategically wedged all of us and the cakes and pies into the station wagon I was about four or five. Including all of us it was quite packed. I can remember my mom setting me down on the seat next to my aunt. When we got there there was one pumpkin pie missing. Take a guess where it was? Let me help they set me right down on it😂 thank God for Saran wrapped😂
The "Trail of Tears" runs through the area is a likely reason you're seeing so much Native American items. Lots of people don't know about it in Western Ky. Another good video. Glad to see some Western Kentucky artists on & making videos here.
Oh my, that storm looked scary! I’m happy Xeno knew what to do. 🥰 My boys and I were in a tornado when we lived in N. Alabama. It killed 23 people around us. We were in the pediatrician’s office. We are back home in NC now, and thankfully we don’t have the same kind of storms. Just happy y’all were safe. ❤️
@@TheAntiqueNomad I remember when that happened. I watched your video when you were looking at the damage. Hopefully folks were able to rebuild and recover.
Hi George Love your videos I’m shipping a set of 12 days of Christmas with original box to HAWAII today! 11pounds. You were spot on I took an offer for $33 + Shipping ❤❤❤ Please everyone think happy shipping thoughts for me!
Hello George, We love the Romer Italian figures, especially because we have found a few curling figures-a sport we played for many years at the Detroit Curling Club. Merry Christmas to you and Xeno, 9a (and David) in Michigan
Thanks George for taking us to a variety of different shops and markets. I wish there were flea markets like that in my area, but I'll live vicariously through you!
Thank you for your video, George. Really enjoy your travels but am very partial to the KY locations!! Dear to my heart, many old fam members from Carlisle and Millersburg.
Wild George, this wasn't absolutely brilliant video I love those places that you go to I would be broke by now. Too bad about the tornado I hope you guys are okay. Not to traumatize. Thank you for showing us so many things and explaining about them. I love that about you. You always let us know what is good and what is not.❤❤😊😊😊😊😂😂
I get anxious whenever I'm in one of the "piled high" stores. There was one locally that my friend used to say she was afraid to go through because she was afraid she could trip and fall and never be found again. Lol
Good evening, George! Those prices, for the quilts, seemed really good. Loved that hanging aeroplane! There was a banjo clock, behind her, that I really liked, too. That saddle purse looked like a real saddle. That one was really well-done. There was a table, on its side, at Butler, that caught my eye. A sorry sight to see it outdoors like that. I don't care the Dr Pepper thermometer wasn't in the best condition...I want it! 😂 Oooo...George, you entered the black market, with that stolen Holiday Inn ashtray 🤣 OMG! I would've been ricocheting all over the place, in Butler's. The glase looked good on that Rookwood piece...made me wonder if it might have been placed on a doily most of its existence. Crap! That storm looked ominous! I'm happy you got out of there safely! I actually liked the round wood Telechron clock the best of the ones there. I have a West Bend anodised aluminium beverage set, with the Bakelite...or is it plastic...handle on the pitcher. Those were some fun places to shop! That storm was a bit on the scary side, though. Thanks for the take-along!
I’ve been watching you almost from the very beginning I live in Hopkinsville Kentucky Butler is a fabulous place to go. They are wonderful people and so is Catherine on sixth street. You are also in Guthrie today when it was storming so bad and I have a booth there and you picked up thepurse I have in my booth with the birds on it think it was around 3228 time love seeing that thank you George for all you do and all you create your knowledge is unbelievable merry Christmas
Glad you two made it home safely.Ya know George those are my dishes... After all these years I'm starting to need replacement pieces:) The first back stamp is the one I have from 80's England. Very good pickup. Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
At 13:01 you passed by a blue Unicorn paper weight I have it's mate except in controlled bubble clear. How cool. Funny you mentioned Max Headrome I was thinking about that earlier today. lol Have a great day and Happy Holidays to you and yours
Wow! It was raining cats and dogs! Hope you didnt step in a poodle. Lol. Lame jokes! I am terrified of storms w tornadoes. The wind speed freaks me out and i go into anxiety mode. Any intelligent person would be frightened! I like your video content.. keep up the good, informative work. I pk up tidbits of knowlegde ev time i view your utube channel..thanks!!
I recently purchased a MOO COW, not ever seeing one before, then a friend told me that they were in pancake houses, (growing up in NYC, we did not have pancake houses except IHOP). So, I bought it and put it up online.
I had collected all 12 days of Christmas glasses before I got married! My husband at the time broke most of them in a short period of a time when he would wash dishes! So sad!

I have sold quite a bit of Portmeirion in my booth at a Missouri antique mall. Moves well. Not sure what to put in its place after I sell out... any suggestions? Love your videos! I have learned so much following you for several years. Glad you and Xeno dodged the tornado.Happy Holidays!
Love Portmerion I got a lovely big jug in a charity shop in Inverness. Being in the northwest of the U.K we are so lucky to visit the village often. Did you get the program the Prisoner in the U.S.?
Question: what's a good place to learn to identify items and find values? Should I just look on ebay? or are there apps or sites that you can upload or snap a photo?? TIA!
I literally laughed out loud with your proclamation, “I don’t like to be told what to do,” when passing the laugh, smile signs! 😂😂
At least they were just bossy signs. Women are frequently told to smile by other people - quickest way to get me not to smile.
Oh my word! That was stacked high! I tip my hat yo u for finding a few things. Cute flamingo oil lamp 😊
Yes, a bit of a hord 😂😂
Another fun time shopping with you. I always learn a lot from your content. Thank you!

Love the clocks and the Romer piece.
The old "piled up" furniture store was the greatest store I have seen in a lot of years! Fantastic place! So interesting.
Love that you tell the prices and give your opinion on those prices- that’s the best part for me.
I like the clocks. I'm decorating my Christmas tree this year with clock faces......celebrating the passing of time! Safe travels!
I love when you are shopping local to me! I love all of your shows but it’s a little special when you are in the area shopping❤️
I really like the soft sounds of a Kentucky accent ❤
