every single song off Somberlain and Light's Bane are legendary. Their "Rebirth of Dissection" live show is one of the greatest concerts on youtube.
someone relatively recently uploaded an upscaled 4k version of the concert and it's even better now because of that.
"Rebirth of Dissection", Children of Bodoms "Chaos Ridden Years" and In Flames at Sticky Fingers are the 3 concerts I come back to multiple times a year...by far my favorite concerts of all time so far
Agree
Every single song literally every single song
This whole album is fire. Thorns of Crimson Death, and Nights Blood are two other songs that kick ass
Great track, it's almost hypnotizing, very wintery. If you look at the record cover this song fits the mood perfectly, love it.
True its fit
I love seeing people listen to dissection for the first time… not even into metal and there first two albums are some of my favorite all time albums
Dissection is amazing! The Somberlain, A Land Forlorn, Night’s Blood, Thorns Of Crimson Death. And Reinkaos is a great album too!
The best part of this reaction is seeing your mind blow in real time 1:50. Definitely the feeling this entire album is capable of.
Such cold atmosphere on this album. Might be the best melodic black metal album ever. Cold as the reaper's scythe.
That album is a fucking masterpiece, cant go wrong with any song 😄 check nights blood or thorns of crimson death for example
You should do a full albul review of "Reinkaos" from Dissection. It has a completely different vibe more "death-metalish" than black, therefore is less loved by some old-school Dissection fans, but I like it a lot!
Easily one of my favorite albums of all time
An iconic metal song, one of my favorites
Please do more Dissection reactions. One of the best bands of all time, and so few people react to them!
Bought the Digi-Pack back in 1995 just before I turned 14. One of my all time favourite albums.
Awsome reaction! Swedish black/deathmetal legends! Too bad about their singers inner demons that made him commit murder and later taking his own life.... You should listen to Black Horizons, The Somberlain or Thorns of Crimson Death. Checkout other swedish legendery swedish death metal bands like Dismember, Entombed and Hypocrisy!
Oh wow. Thanks for the insight
Don't forget Edge of Sanity.
Great old death/progressive metal.
Dan Svanö the man behind them produced Dissections first two albums.
Entombed has got to be one of the most accessible death metal bands. Left Hand Path is a great album. Dismember’s Like An Ever Flowing Stream is equally awesome. And Hypocrisy’s first two albums. They went too hard on the ufo alien thing after that I think.
Another band I really like from that area is Unleashed. Their 1st Album Where No life Dwells is a good one to start with.
He never killed though he was accessory to murder and even though the Victim was an algerian gay man, it was never about homophobia nor racism. It Was about druginfused Devil Worship. Furthemore he was the composer and main guiarist and the main Force for the band not just ”the Singer”.
He was *involved in a killing.* He didn’t pull that trigger on anyone.
Check out "Black Horizons" from their first album!
YES! Black Horizons!!!🤘
Great review. My suggestion is to check out Starless Eons from Dissections last album before Jon killed himself. It is more heavy metal and less black metal than their older albums.
There is a music video so you can see what they looked like.
Dissection was not posers like many Black metal bands. They did not need to dress up to be satanic for sure.
Anyway thanks for a great reaction!
Nice react!
In the dawn an angel was dancing, surrounded by an aura of light, but in the shadow something was watching, and with patience awaiting the night
Dissection a staple band my dude I'd recommend a land forlorn as well or starlets god of forbidden light
I like the music, but vocals again it's the 90's when so many went grover or cookie monster. Maybe they all got brought up on Sesame Street. 😆 Only the angels thrown out of heaven will be dead, forever.
Yeah the vocals are definitely the weakest element of the song.
@@TheMetalJunkie i think the vocals are what makes the song
@@Celatra Yes, man i gotta say Jon's Vocals are a highlight on this one. So fricking melodic and so fricking awesome just one of my favorite songs. THESE GUITARS ARE SO FUCKING LEGENDARY!!! Not many other bands have had the same impact as dissection.
I would say Nights Blood is there best song
Dude try Black Storm or Magenta Ritual, Fire & Ocean hell just try anything pretty much from the band "In Mourning" they are so killer you will like them or you just don't like Scandinavian metal.✌🎵🔥
Please reaction band video : Tambarmalm - bring into darkness
Thank you
By the way they basically invented Black metal
Try hypocrisy eraser dude
aaaaaaahhhhhh this is the totally SHIT
