The enclosed Romeo x compact is nice. The open emitter would get belly lint all up in it from carrying it. It’s kind of a deep well and I’m surprised it wasn’t just enclosed from the get go
@@rdrgear I’m not a big guy but I carry a PPQ and have been for almost a decade the size of that pistol carries well for me. I even carry in summer in shorts and a T shirt. Hey RDR question does ya fuse slide get extremely hot after shooting i was watching QVO tactical vid and he said it get super hot like rifle suppressor hot after i also asked tactical development and he said the same thing
Im not a huge fan of the 365 family (Not trying to be an asshole just stating my opinions) and one thing I noticed was how hot it got. Ive heard this new one gets much hotter with makes sense with the ports, maybe the gasses are venting into the slide and causing it to get super hot. Regardless, im not interested in these platforms for that reason and many others.
@@officialstephencoe ice lmao, i will have a follow up, I don’t know if we shoot fast enough in between takes, the get the heat up. Hey, I asked for it. A CCW gun I can use for duty use if I wanted since the barrel is over 4 inches. I initially ordered a Macro, canceled it for this.
I've put 750 rounds through my Fuse. No problem with the Mags. It is slightly picky about ammo. The sights are fine -- but nothing special. It gets hot faster than my SW M2 Performance Center 4", shooting the same ammo and the same amount of rounds. 4-5 failures to feed every during the third range day with 250 rounds. The trigger sucks. I had an XMacro 3.7" that was better overall. If I would keep it, I'd have to replace the trigger -- it's that bad on the pistol I purchased. The trigger travel and reset feel like a cheap SCCY.
I have one, and it runs like greased lightning. Buuuuut..... I modified it before I even shot it. A good set of precision files and a cup of coffee go a long way. Polished it here and there, too.
Me too. I think we went the same route with the polishing a bit on the rails. Also have a new barrel and comp on the desk to eventually try that combination. Any issues with the mags?
Hey, I like your videos and I’m sorry that I’m hitting you with this because it’s not your fault and positivity is way better for everyone to practice but I happened to be watching your video when I finally went “what the F**K?! At the beginning of your video, you stated that it’s a “misuse of the word to call it a full size handgun”. Here’s where you and admittedly many other content creators have confused me… from what I can see and please correct me if I’m wrong but Sig doesn’t claim it’s a full sized firearm. I’ve been all over Sig’s website and I can’t find anywhere on the site where they actually claim it’s a full sized handgun? They do use the term “full size compatibility” which I think most people will understand to mean it shares many similarities with your average full sized pistol… IE a large capacity for ammunition, a 4.3” barrel, a full size grip, removable magwell, etc. I DID find many instances however where they clearly state it’s classed as a compact firearm. I just don’t understand how or why this “not a full size blah blah blah” became an often used example of a travesty that we clearly needs to be corrected right here and now. One of my longtime and and closest friends just so happens to be employed at the Sig factory in New Hampshire so I had the opportunity to point out that I’ve seen this… argument, for lack of a better word, repeatedly brought to the attention of all of us dumb dumbs out here in Normalville USA who will believe everything we’ve been fed from a large manufacturer such as Sig Sauer and thus the point needs to be clearly corrected and impressed upon us by UA-cam blowhards. (Not you, the other blowhards on UA-cam) So I asked him his thoughts on this being an issue I’ve seen talked about on UA-cam many times over. He confirmed to me that it is without question a compact firearm albeit on the upper size range for the class and no one from Sig claims it to be anything else. From what I can tell thus far from my deep level of research, the ONLY people continuously bringing up that it’s “not really a full size pistol” are creators similar to yourself that apparently either aren’t creative enough to fill their videos runtime with entertaining and more importantly accurate information OR they believe they need to create some type of scandal because scandals create more clicks, more views, and more merch sold. I can understand if you went to the local Ford dealership and said you need a new truck so the associate goes out back and drives around the front a shiny new Pinto (I guess you’d have to be a time traveler for this to actually happen because well…the Pinto right? A car only slightly less explosive than a frockin MOAB) but that’s okay, stay with me here) That associate then asks if you want to buy the truckbed spray coating to keep it smelling purty to which you reply, “Wait just a minute, this is a Pinto, not no damn truck!” Then, in that scenario, I understand the need for creators to tell us normies something ain’t right with folks at Ford. I’d understand that 100%. My point in this long, ridiculous, and wacky tale is this. Don’t create a friggin problem where there ain’t one. At the very least, you’ll save some dishbag like me from writing out this looooong and frankly unneeded story. I guess that was a long winded way for me to say “huh?”, wasn’t it? 🤯

Buy a threaded barrel for the TacOps. You'll have essentially the same gun as the Fuse with the same length barrel but a slightly shorter slide.
