Future floor polish is good for tightening the joints. Should enough to let it hold up the base. Also somebody should absolutely animate that, because it would be ridiculous.

I used a Gundam marker on my claws, which ended up giving them a heated look to them, since the yellow with my marker set is a darker yellow. I also ended up putting super glue on my kit's right arm joints so it can hold then weapon in one hand. The problem is the kit still can't hold the mace while the handle is fully extended in one hand.
loved this kit i may buy a second to make the last battle ver, i bet Jabman can do a epic project of the final battle ver kinda like a build off challenge against vegeta rekindle old competition
Now here's my question, how come the 1/100 Lupus looks taller then the Lupus Rex? Shouldn't that be the other way around? Awesome review. Now instead of a MG how's about a PG Barbatos Lupus Rex. Also I thought a MG was 1/100 is it not?
The Lupus is meant to look more proper and knight-like, overall (which is a big theme of the series that ends with the Lupus eventually fighting a 'dragon' to cement the connection). The Lupus Rex, on the other hand, is meant to be wider and more feral as a rejection of those old ideas, so it makes sense that it doesn't have the same type of straight-looking noble posture. Also, yes, all Master Grades are 1/100. But this kit just happens to be a non-MG 1/100, which means that the scale's accurate to the Lupus shown and stuff. At least, it SHOULD be unless someone on the design team fucked up BIG.
dracocrusher I like to think the Barbatos started as a young knight that protected his kingdom from the beasts that terrorize their land aka the Hashmal and its drones and as it got older and became more experienced(Now it would be the Barbatos Lupus) he had to fight a demon(Hashmal) but in order to defeat it, he had to turn into a beast to slay it. (Y'know, either you die a hero or live long enough to become the villain) and that's when the Barbatos becomes the Barbatos Lupus Rex. That's kinda my head canon.
That mace would be so heavy it looks natural just dragging on the ground..looks like the only time it would be airborne is when he would go to swing it into something(or someone).
Got one question do you know what the guage of wire is for the tail gimmick i seem to have lost mine also if you two hand the mace it holds it just fine

You might be able to search around, but I got mine from a Crunchyroll Deal for like around $32.99 or something, I think? Generally, I feel like the best place to order model kits is from Amazon, which currently has the Lupus Rex for $37.99 with free shipping. Which seems to be at the lower end of what it generally goes for. If anyone knows a better place to get them then that would be appreciated, but since so many things can be obtained with free shipping, I feel like it's a pretty solid deal because you usually save around $8 or so, which adds up.

why bandai... you develop the mg barbatos... but no lupus? no lupus rex? no vidar? no bael? nothing!... i don't get it... why isn't this kit a mastergrade.. it looks pretty great, couldn't have need much more to meet mg standards.
I'm glad you found the Silver paint as a primer useful. I use it as primer on All my kits now, works so much better.
I would kill for a master grade barbatos. Maybe next year...

barbatos 4th form has had a mg for a few years. you can get an option set for the other 6 forms. but no lupus, no lupus rex..

MGs only come in 1/100 yet this is a no-grade kit, the equivalent of a HG in 1/100
