Also of note, at 13:55 of the video, as the music fades out, Richard plays a melancholic ten note sequence from one of Syd's first Pink Floyd singles called See Emily Play. A beautiful tribute to their lost friend.
The build-up that gets increasingly tense with each bar until it culminates in Gilmour's slide guitar(s) absolutely wailing with grief might be my single favorite few mins of Floyd music ever, among many, many contenders.
Another fine reaction, loved it.That is how you bookend an album. A masterpiece. RIP Richard Wright to the fore in this album the soul of the band. I think of all the Floyd albums both David and Richard enjoyed this the most and sonically I'd have to agree!! Please The Wall next, be pleased you did!
A few years ago my wife and I were on holiday in Cairo Egypt. We'd eaten a meal then walked to the pyramids. There were some young Dutch and Danish tourists sat around a little fire. We chatted then laid down in the shadow of the Great pyramid in Ghiza under a clear sky with all the stars shining above us and listened to Wish you were here from start to finish on an old fashioned Sony Walkman. It was a truly magical experience, the pyramids, the stars, the desert and the music, no drug could have made me feel as alive as I did at that moment. Almost an out of body moment. Pink Floyd will take you places, enjoy the ride😁😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧
That is one PRICELESS memory you will have for your entire life.... a peak experience to treasure. You were all very lucky....a magical encounter where the stars of good fortune .....or fate....all aligned for you all. Wow, is all I can say..and how much I truly envy you that experience.
The difference I see between you and a lot of people reacting to Floyd is I can tell these songs and albums will stick with you and not be forgotten about after you've moved on from the reaction. If Floyd truly sucks you in, you're a fan for life. Up next: Meddle.
This followed Dark Side of the Moon. The critics at the time slated it as underwhelming. Choosing your favourite Pink Floyd track or album is like trying to choose your favourite child. My first introduction to Pink Floyd was Meddle back in the early 70s. So it hold a special place for me.
Those are not Pink Floyd albums, just a good rock and roll band, in my view atleast, i't impossible to disassociate Pink Floyd from the lyrics done by mostly Roger Water, great albums ofc, but not Pink Floyd, Roger's solo albums are much Pink Floyd than those 2, in fact i would consider a trilogy of Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall and Amused to Death by Roger Waters.
Maybe you should hear just a couple of Syd Barrett Pink Floyd. Maybe the songs" Lucifer Sam " and "See Emily Play", especially because the next big album is "The Wall", which as always, has Syd Barrett's spirit living all through it. Then I would do the album "Meddle" before "The Wall"
I would go back to Meddle and Obscured By Clouds (the 2016 re-edit if you can find it, but either is fine.) Then The Wall and The Final Cut. Cut back to the pre-1971 stuff, then the post-Waters work of 1987 forward.
Since you like the spacey instrumental style, check out Supertramps "Even In The Quietest Moments" it's not instrumental BUT has the spacey Floydish kinda vibe you might like.
Exactly, lyrics not needed. Try "Marooned" off the Division Bell album. Won grammy for best rock instrumental. There is also an official video for it. There is also a video for Marooned made by someone else that is superb with dolphins and other ocean video from the BBC.
We miss you reacting to the live versions...please do so. Also, David and Roger have solo and live albums...Roger is also super amazing. Also, as a suggestion...please try to reply to the comments. People love interactions.
Roger released amazing videos from his latest tour. I saw it twice and it was by far the best show I have ever seen. Flying pig, power station rising, arena turning into Darkside of the moon pyramid. So much production. You felt every song to your core. You can rent or buy the full concert film on UA-cam or watch a few songs from concert for free.
Great reaction. Like I said elsewhere, if you like instrumentals by Pink Floyd... listen to "The Endless River", their conclusive studio album (2014)... it is all instrumental ;-) except for the final, goodbye song.
Next in order is The Wall. I think you're ready. It is totally different to any of previous, but you reacted to Comfortable Numb already, and even Hey You if I remember correctly. So give it a shot. It's a 90 minutes album, reactions should be 15-20 minutes. And I am not sure 8f you should react to studio version, or movie version, what do you guys think?
Helpful hint maybe for blocked videos. I have seen other reacters leave a link to the video in a pinned comment, and I have also seen the videos appearing on their Patreon Page, unlocked so everybody could watch it.
Hiya Hunter. I'm sure everybody wants you to do "The Wall" next. And that's fine, but nobody (reactor-wise) does the "Momentary Lapse of Reason" album. It doesn't get enough recognition in my opinion and it has some darn good songs on it. I mean how can it not? It's Pink Floyd. This is where you discover a rift in PF fans because this album is minus, Roger Waters. This album and The Division Bell are both very good albums even w/o Roger. Give it a shot. Be different.
AMLOR is a criminally underrated album. Not so strong lirically (Waters, the main songwriter, was gone) but musically is top notch. Not a total masterpiece but, in my opinion, overall better than "The Division Bell": more balanced, more aggressive, more brave. And it was published in a terrible period for the band, that make it even more impressive.
@@timbarnes3728 Frankly I don't understand all the hate for "Dogs of War". To me is a pretty awesome song, I think that a fresh ear as Tenacious can appreciate it. "One Slip" is a good filler, a bridge for "On The Turning Away" that is an highlight of the album, with one of the most beautiful guitar solo by Gilmour. "A New Machine" is very short... sufficiently disturbing (in a positive way). Maybe I'm biased
We're ALL Diamonds,,,,shining in our own way. 👍😎
THE LAST SECTION SUNDS LIKE A FUNERAL BECAUSE IT'S A TRIBUTE TO THE GUY WHOFORMED THE BAND BUT THEN LOST HIS MIND
My favorite song also love your reactions 😆♥️ my all time favorite RIP Syd Barrett 🖤
Obscured by clouds
in this track you find the immense touch that Ricky Wright has given to the Pink Flayd music, Ricky was the silent soul of the band
Also of note, at 13:55 of the video, as the music fades out, Richard plays a melancholic ten note sequence from one of Syd's first Pink Floyd singles called See Emily Play. A beautiful tribute to their lost friend.
"But misunderstood" in see emily play
1) ECHOES live in pompeii 1972 2) ONE OF THESE DAYS live pulse 1994
Top ten list of stuck on an island. Great album.
My favorite song on the album, from the ominous tone in the beginning to the sounds of euphoria at the end. It never gets old. Great reaction.
The build-up that gets increasingly tense with each bar until it culminates in Gilmour's slide guitar(s) absolutely wailing with grief might be my single favorite few mins of Floyd music ever, among many, many contenders.
Echoes is timeless -- 23 minutes of Where Was I ?
In Perfect Isolation...Here Behind My Wall
Pink Floyd: MEDDLE!!!
A very underrated/under appreciated album by them is called Obscured by Clouds. It’s kind of a mix of dark side of the moon and Meddle
When you hear someone say They dont make um like they used to This song is one example of the way it used to be done. Keep it up it only gets better
You'll get it!
Another fine reaction, loved it.That is how you bookend an album. A masterpiece. RIP Richard Wright to the fore in this album the soul of the band.

I would say Meddle with the echoes masterpiece and then The wall
Yes "close to the edge" A little song called "and you and I"
Such a great album, it just bristle with creativity, it is my favourite Pink Floyd album, although all Pink Floyd albums are great

the Fender Stratocaster guitar in Pink Floyd as opposed to the Les Paul and Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd actually started out as a Jazz band on MARS!!!
The difference I see between you and a lot of people reacting to Floyd is I can tell these songs and albums will stick with you and not be forgotten about after you've moved on from the reaction. If Floyd truly sucks you in, you're a fan for life.

Siempre habrá espacio para un nuevo Floydeano, great reaction... thanks for you edition job!
this is your best pink floyd reaction - thanks
Next has got to be The Wall or Meddle.
Division bell is a masterpiece in all..
LISTEN TO "HEART OF THE SUNRISE by the band YES
Love your reaction from this whole album. Great job. Can’t wait to see your reactions in the future.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Great reaction dude.
Check out Echoes live at Pompeii (part 1 and part 2)
(this version is better than the album version to do a reaction video)
WELL SO FAR YOU'VE WOUND UP DOING THE FULL FLOYD ALBUMS HUMTER AND THAT'S REALLYYYYY THE WAY TO GO ABOUT THIS BAND, EXCELLENT WORK! :)
Love your channel! You’re killing it
next Pink Floyd Album - A momentary laps of reason ... or Division Bell .. 😎👍
My vote for "A Momentary Lapse of Reason". After that, "Meddle".

Supertramp-even in the quiet moments

Devi assolutamente vedere la versione che ne ha fatto David al Meltdown Festival...favolosa
The Wall next! It's a work of art. Do yourself a huge favour and have the lyrics pulled up when doing the album. ENJOY!!
All their stuff is good- Try live version of Careful with that axe Eugene on Ummagumma.
Exactly, lyrics not needed. Try "Marooned" off the Division Bell album. Won grammy for best rock instrumental. There is also an official video for it. There is also a video for Marooned made by someone else that is superb with dolphins and other ocean video from the BBC.
What better tribute to a beloved ex band mate? Especially near the end where Rick works in a snippet of Syd's See Emily Play

That's how you end an album!! Don't over look Obscured By Clouds. It doesn't get much attention, but it is good...it is Floyd.

David and Roger both have several "solo" works. There are even dvd's.
"this is disgusting dude" ..... best part :
I feel you should do The Division Bell album from 1995. Or Meddle from 1971
Meddle is absolutely an excellent choice. It’s time for the ride

Hmmm I wouldn’t recommend AMLOR this early on... too many songs that just aren’t up to scratch like Dogs of War, One Slip, A New Machine

Well, let's go chronogically. Next is The Wall then Final Cut amd then post-Waters era :)
I’m a Gilmour head so I love Momentary Lapse and Division Bell, and they are still better than a lot of albums that came out in the 80s.
Pink Floyd invented The Wall not The Wheel.
Try "sultans of swing live from Alchemy dire straits .
So good you didn't deserve to hear it for free! You need a Floyd t shirt pal 🎸
Give a listen to Dissolution by the Ozric Tentacles, another great UK psychedelic band usually favoured by Pink Floyd fans!
This is closer to classical music than Rock music like Wagner. Pink Floyd are the masters of building tension till the inevitable explosion
Dude listen to “Who’s Next” by The Who the entire album is one of the best ever
Yeah definitely need to get some The Who on the channel
Start the song at the beginning of the song. Just some amateurish advice. You do a good job. Very likeable dude.
