Thanks for the recipe! I made this with a couple of modifications. I marinated chicken thighs with soy sauce, pepper, rice wine, and corn starch. I added quite a bit more liquids because I prefer more sauce, and used coconut milk + chicken stock instead of milk. I also added some garlic, carrots, broccoli, and soy sauce. It was very tasty!
I never would have thought of this combination, it looks amazing! Also, I just want to say that I *love* that you include how to make a sample menu for the dishes, it's super helpful! ❤
This was SO GOOD and so EASY when I made it. I'm 22 so I'm new to cooking. I used it to meal prep for the week. I made 2 lbs of chicken so I doubled the milk, and I actually used 1 tbsp miso not 2 tbsp because mine is very salty and I was scared to use too much. Ended up perfect! Also used enoki mushrooms instead.
I used shallots, heavy whipping cream, and corn starch, and didn’t have mushrooms so i just added msg for the umami flavor the mushrooms would have provided. It turned out very good and next time I’ll get mushrooms and still add the msg. Maybe even put in some noodles as well instead of rice
Mmmm this looks really good. I'll replace the chicken with faux chicken instead .. but the whole meal looks delicious. (So no miso clumps in the sauce then? Everything got dissolved?)
Thank you 🥰! You can definitely use soy milk and hiratake instead. That sounds delicious 🎶. Make sure you don’t cook soy milk too long. It will coagulate.

ヨシミさん、そのレシピは健康いいで美味しいと思います。Can I use 豆乳 and ひらたけ mushroom as a substitute? Your recipe are very unique to me. ☺️☺️☺️

I see, thank you very much 🥰🙂
So glad to see people use soy milk! Is the same true if I use almond milk?
Also, is it still a cup of soy or almond milk? Maybe a little less since it is thinner than regular milk????
Here for you, Yoshimi! =)
