Mans has the will power of God. Restoring a Rhodes is iconic. Good stuff man.
You can do it too! I do a lot of guides for random electric pianos on my channel and will be uploading my Rhodes video soon; nothing like it.

Lovely fantastic space, just my style, very inspiring. I love all the light which miss in my basement studio. Gorgeous desk, and maximum kudos for restoring the Rhodes!
This is the dream type of studio.

Really nice set up, I have got everything to make a nice desk but need the warm weather to build it, in My garden, can't do it when damp.
Kenny Beats ???
❤
Ok, I'm gonna go tidy my studio now 🤣 this is beautiful man
Ha thanks man 🙏🏼
Sonarworks is amazing 👍
It is!!
Looks great! Would you mind sharing the info of the person you had build the slide-out keyboard tray for you? I'm looking for that exact thing!
Of course! AJM Wood Design 🙏🏼
Did you think about setting it up the other way like recommended? That is having the speaker face the longer part of it?
content loudness -18.4dB
:o
Super nice! I think you forgot the interface you are using? Or did I miss that part lol I don’t know some one comment if I missed it! Anyways beautiful setup!
Apologies! It’s an Apollo x4 by Universal Audio ☺️🙏🏼
Sweet spot matt! Do you find that the piano adds any weird resonances when tracking other instruments or vocals? I wanna add an upright in my spot but I'm a little worried about that potential issue! Loved the video! Might have to make my own to time capsule my studio changes over the years!
Thanks! Good question. I’ve not noticed the piano itself adding resonance when tracking instruments especially if it’s fully closed. But there are resonant frequencies when recording the piano that I tend to deal with using an EQ. Will maybe work on the acoustic treatment someday. Time capsule sounds great !
Nice studio Matt! Jealous of your desk! Out of the books you mentioned from your bookshelf, do any specific titles standout that you'd recommend?!
Thanks! Two books I learned a lot from were Jazz Keyboard Harmony (Phil DeGreg) and How to Improvise (Hal Crook). I like the practical hands on approach. I also learned a bunch from listening to and following along with transcriptions. Hope that helps! 🙏🏼
Beautiful space, I'm intrigued about the books, would you mind sharing a bit on them?
Sure! Maybe I’ll make a video on it sometime
Amazing studio! What are the specs of your MacBook?
It’s an M1 Max!
Great video! your Apollo interface might feel ignored
Thanks! Oops 😬🙏🏼
Great setup man. Has the background track been released?
It hasn’t, but was working on it today actually! Might release in the future ☺️
Lovely studio, really cozy and vibey place where you can be creative 🎹 do you know where the sofa is from?
Thanks! It’s from Futon Company ☺️
@@mattwildemusic nice, thanks!😃
Why did you get the 3300 mic stand? It's 500 bucks more expensive than the 2200 and the only difference seems to be that it extends to a height of over 3 meters (while the boom arm of the 2200 with a reach of 2,39m seems totally sufficient for your piano needs)?
It is the 2200 - made a mistake in the edit!
Can I know your video setup?🙏🏻
Don’t listen to anyone who has speakers in front of a window 🥴🤦♂️
Hey, thanks for checking out my video. Just to clarify, this video is more about sharing my home studio setup rather than giving advice. I agree the windows aren't perfect for a studio, but I really enjoy the natural light they bring in. It's all about making the best of what we have, right? Despite some unconventional choices like having speakers near the window, I've been fortunate enough to have some success with my music. Stay positive and keep making music (regardless of your setup and equipment!) ☺️🙏🏼
