It’s worth getting one of the summing units. I got the Dangerous Music D-Box for monitoring and summing. Don’t regret it at all. Analog summing is the move.

I am just rocking my AKAI MPD and M-Audio Keyboard with Reason but I have been making beats for 14 years on and off and have done some random mix tapes. Music is an artform and I feel you need to showcase it and get feedback from peers to truly evolve and it's nice to see the production community and everyone aspiring to make music enjoying your channel and getting inspired.

Big up the God bolo! I'm really feeling the studio you got some really good quality stuff in there. I admire and respect your skills I just hope you have some kind of surge protection in your main panel. You could get them for like a hundred bucks on the other hand with all that studio equipment I would probably even have 2! Items I like the most are the focal 80 studio monitors also the Neumann ribbon microphone let me tell you these aren't cheap :-)

Keyboards, that's where I'm trying to go. Most of my music is sample based. How do you keep them clean...???
Depending on your home or studio environment dictates how often you have to clean gear. Pests or children and plants tent to lead to alot of dust, also having your set up in your bedroom will also increase the dust. Keep you gear covered in a cloth when not in use, then to clean use a soft brush and vacuum cleaner, then wipe with a cloth with disinfectant ones a week.

Nice studio, Bolo! Last year, I was looking at the MODX (the first one just before the Plus version came out) and really liked the sound of the pianos in it when playing around with it in the store. However, I was trying to get a certain classic tone out of the electric piano (Rhodes) using the chorus effect but I could not dial in the sound exactly the way I could easily in my Korg Nautilus or the Roland Fantom because the MODX chorus lacks those certain parameters that would allow me to precisely dial in that tone I'm looking for. BTW, the pianos in the Korg Nautilus are excellent, both acoustic and electric. Have you ever tried a Nautilus or a Kronos? Other than that, the MODX sounded pretty good. The guitars are amazing on the MODX. However, I'm glad to see the Plus version really improved the build quality and, based on what I heard on the specs, the sampling engine as well. What attracted me to the MODX was the built-in audio interface with multichannel USB audio streaming. Just before that, the Fantom O series was unveiled and it was a no brainer. I went with the Fantom-06 right after it came out, maybe a few months before you bought yours. It is a SWEET synth indeed!!! Plus, it has 16 stereo channels of USB audio streaming. I plan on pairing it with my TR-8S drum machine which also has that feature.
However, I really wish my MPC One and my Nautilus also had multichannel USB audio streaming. If Akai and Korg add that feature in a new firmware update, that would definitely be DOPE!!!! Aggregate just those two devices in a computer and track everything out separately in just ONE pass without buying expensive interfaces or running a bunch of cables!!!! You might have to do some latency compensating or line up a few tracks but that's not a problem. Getting the tracks recorded quickly is the most crucial part, in a small compact and portable hardware-based but extremely flexible and versatile one keyboard 'n' drum machine setup.
I also have another much larger setup with the MPC X as the centerpiece and a whole bunch of other hardware synths running to a high analog input capacity interface (MOTU 24ai ×2 = 48 analog inputs. That's not including the combined 48 additional channels of ADAT I/O!!!!) straight into Protools. Lots of cables!!! Hehehe. However, I can track everything in one pass.

Peace bro love the setup I see you have the Roland fantom 06 my question to you is how can you sync it to the mpc x when you go to settings it doesn’t have slave/master option instead it has external/internal/ remote I’ve got it to have audio come through the x but can’t record the notes. You need to put them locking collars on your Onstage stand. Don't want to lose them Flagship synths. I have 3 of them stands. The arms are expensive to buy buy worth it.

Do you just track the beat to the Tascam then 2 track that mix it to a daw or track it through the tascam and multitrack it to a daw and then mix? I don't have too many videos right now, but I have been patiently waiting, more than the song by 50 cent metaphorically, in the background where nobody ever sees. The reason I ask you about being connected is not for clout, approval from others, or to get rich. I just need to get out there by all means, and it is hard to do all of this by yourself. I'm letting my pride down finally, because I am very confident that I can do it all, and even though I know I can, it just gets to be too much, and then I don't do what I know that I can do.
