If I hadn't seen your video, I probably wouldn't have ever known what the problem was. This is the only video I've seen that points to the black box as the source of the issue. Thank you!
My security system has been beeping since the feb snow fiasco here in Dallas. I keep hitting * and it’s quiet for 10 hrs . Then it starts again. We got the battery from Amazon and tried replacing that as well, nothing changed. It’s annoying. These days it makes the sound twice every night which is so annoying!! My house is pretty big so, it echoes in the entire house 🤯. All these days, it said low battery until I got back from a trip. Now it still beeps but wants me to set the time. I don’t even know the code 😁
I haven’t used my security system in years because it said “trouble”. I thought it was because I no longer had monitoring service. I’m gonna get a battery today and start using it again-unmonitored. Whew hew!
Very nice clear instructions. I’m glad you showed the connections later in the video. Do they just clip onto the wires or do you have to screw them? My townhouse’s security guy was looking at mine one time and said the battery is low. He said it would be easy for me to pick up the part and replace it. Of course I didn’t get on top of it right away now it’s beeping. I guess I have an older model or something because it doesn’t light up or show me exactly what the problem is. I bought a battery and I am going to replace it this weekend. I’m kind of afraid that I’m gonna set something off LOL
this is the back up battery what would cause it to go low if I have never had to use in? My power never went out but I do get a code 7. Why did you not meter test the battery first before replacing it?
Thank you so much sir my power flickered and my Dsc kept beeping for hours I tried everything but the screen would stay blank then I came across your video and found a solution and for that you just gained a sub and a like
hello, and thank you for your tutorials. I again have a fault 1-3 "general system fault" yet the alarm works correctly, commissioning, shutdown, ... sending to home automation on my app ... it's happened 2 times already and I called an alarm company each time who disconnected the 2 x batteries and cut the main power supply and restarted the DSC, then the fault disappeared. The batteries are less than 1 year old and work very well But apparently during a micro power cut?, the Orange default comes back do you have any idea how to fix this error? thank you
Hello guys, I am facing a weird issue. I have got an old dsc alarm system which make siren randomly, sometimes at the middle of the night for 5 seconds and stops by itself. But I could not locate the sound source. What should I do now?
I can never say anything good about DSC panels. always a horror to program and work on. Can't wait to rip them out and replace with a honeywell vista. Even worse than a Napco. Now my last call was on a DSC with low system battery beeping the keypads. All battery voltages are good and keypad alarm still goes off. New battery, fully charged does nothing. Can't disable keypad alerts in programming, pc1832 panel must be bad. Another customer not happy with DSC system.
Your a Great Life saver.... After following your instructions I found my problem and solved it.
Thanks for your comment. Happy 😊 it helped. It was my issue as well so I just share with others as well.

There is no screw for this type. It was just clip in🙏🏼

Nicolas Bybee I am happy that helps, happy new year🙋🏻♂️
Hi, there is no need to remove or disconect the battery charger first before battery change?

How do I program the alarm to activate and deactivate at the same time every day
When I pressed *2 it just shows number 1😭
Isnt it going to call, because it detected that you removed the battery
my house doesn't have a big panel box, at least I can't find it. New house to me.
Just found my “box” mounted flush in the closet w modems, etc. It says “Safety and Security “.

What is the battery called
Double check the specs but I ordered “Casil Genuine CA1240 12V 4Ah SLA Alarm Battery” on amazon and it solved my issue
Comment desactiver le triangle jaune
What a "rat's nest" of wiring. Terrible installation, very unprofessional.
This doesn't work
How do you even go in to setting
*8, then the 4 digit installer code. On a dsc panel its probably 5555. So, *85555
