Ha! I literally just did this fix a month ago. At least my monitoring company was nice enough to tell me how to fix it myself. $30 later I was back in business.
Yes I would absolutely consider power outages to drain it but not significantly. I have found the batteries can last as long as 7-8 years though. Thanks for watching!

Usually the "trouble codes" provide a decent amount of directional information. ADT techs should know what that trouble indicator means....

The screen is completely blank. I can still arm/disarm. Can't find any troubleshooting with this problem
Sounds like you’re due for a new keypad!
My system has not that box. Only the battery inside the panel and the one that is plugged in the electric outlet.
If you have cellular monitoring there will be an element that plugs into an outlet. Although you'll want to check the better in the panel.
