Nascar should just re develop all the tracks to have inside stands and amenities and then make massive runoff areas. I'm talking a solid 100yds concrete runoff and another 100 of gravel or something to further slow a car.

European-based racing series are getting faster year after year because of safety improvements, why is it not the case with NASCAR?

It’s inverted because when the rev limiter is hit, around 9500 rpm or so, the tach needle is level. It’s not important but that seems to be the function of it. Just a visual cue.
