i had a hayter Harrier autodrive when i first started a lawncare business in 2008 it was a fantastic lawnmower they are build to last. Mick i wish there was someone like you up here the old guy that used to service my mowers and struggle to maintain them on my own
Thank you for your great vid. It helped me service my 41. I used a pair of locking grips as a blade stop, which worked OK. I had to sharpen the blade with a sanding flapper disc. Thanks again
This the exact model I just picked up. Machine starting, running and driving fine. You explained previously about possibly having some water in the oil which I will keep an eye on - I will swap it out again in about 5 hours as you suggested. Quick question. Whilst cleaning and getting to know my way around it I noticed I keep getting some moisture around bottom of the air filter enclosure, bottom left as you look at it. At 12.10 on this video it would be just below your finger below the silver bracket. I clean & dry but it’s there again after I run it. Is that ok or something I need to worry about?
My YT Money goes back into the channel and isn't part of my monthly budget. Last year, I spent near 5 thousand towards the channel and banked just over 6 thousand for the year. Many people think it's just free pocket money, but truth be told, you've got to show channel expenses on your taxes here or you're taxed near 55%!! So I'd much rather reinvest in the channel than give that money to the government. Cheers Mate! Great Tune Up! Zip~
Had my harrier 41 serviced and they fitted a NGK BR2-LM. They said this is what is recommended in the owners manual, what is the difference between the B2-LM and BR2-LM?
That was a nice gift you got there specially that valve adjustment tool that's going to be very handy can't wait to see that an action also that was a good flip of that hayter mower ,over all great episode
Mick. I have a Hayter Harrier 41. Old un. When I lower it, Drive is working BUT it drives the mower in highest height setting but when put on lower height setting drive is running but the handle goes loose and it wont drive the mower along ( has new drive cable fitted) any advice Please ? Stu
Hello chap! Great video, just what the doctor ordered! I have a harrier 41, n the garden centre I bought it off reckoned it needed the bearings changed, you got any videos on this, or is it simple from the doccos? Ta!
Nice Mick. I'll do the same, pay a little more money to make a few dollars on a quick flip. Hopefully you all will get to go on holiday soon once this all passes!
Since I'm a small engine mechanic in America I have so many questions about those rear rollers rather than wheels. I usually lift the front wheels to turn. Is that what you do with a rear roller?

Sounds like the carb needs another clean.. needle and seat may be leaking..
Smell it.. is it petrol or water?
@@themowerman I would say water - not a lot just a droplet or two
@@paulmcgarry7745 ok... Check the oil level and run it

Had my harrier 41 serviced and they fitted a NGK BR2-LM. They said this is what is recommended in the owners manual, what is the difference between the B2-LM and BR2-LM?
It's fine.. the b2rlm has a resistor in it ... it's the same thing just will not interfere with a FM radio

Since I'm a small engine mechanic in America I have so many questions about those rear rollers rather than wheels. I usually lift the front wheels to turn. Is that what you do with a rear roller?
Yeah spin it on the back roller
@@themowerman it looks like it would be more difficult to turn a mower on a rear roller rather than wheels.
@@kbakeritsallaboutnobody.5761 Easter I would say especially if it's got a split roller..
@@themowerman I suppose a person could also turn it on the front wheels but a split roller makes sense.
