Interesting. I have the 520 Plus and have not found the battery life to be a problem. I recently did a 100k Audax and only used about 40% of the battery. I’ve recently bought my wife a 530, which is nicer and more up to date and has a few additional features, some of which you mentioned.
It was probably just the age/use of the Edge 520 plus because I only noticed the battery life getting worse over the last few months. So far, I’ve been really impressed with the 530.

Best read the instructions before filming the review, also watch it back first, nothing much was in focus when showing it to the camera.
