The ps portal doesn’t support WIFI 6 let alone 7 so it’s capped anyway so it wouldn’t matter. I have 2.5GB speeds at my home and I have mesh WIFI 6 along with all my main devices Hardlined. I did a test and PS Portal caps at 500mbps. Even if you did have blazing fast wifi like I do it wouldn’t matter on the portal. On the PS5 it matters if you can’t hardline since it supports wifi 6.

Although I’m not the content creator lol, I bought the Beryl AX - WiFi 6 portable router. I live in DC and am currently in San Francisco for a work conference and have had no issues using the Portal in my hotel. My only issue has been using public WiFi at certain places like the airport or on a flight. United Airlines’ wifi was super weak so I couldn’t connect my portal. At the airport, the public WiFi would kick you off every 15-20 minutes no matter what device you’re on and the signal wasn’t the strongest. If you have a strong wifi signal wherever you are plus the portable router, you shouldn’t have any issues using the Portal.

So I can't use my Sony MX5 headphones with this device? I am forced to get another set of headphones?
I want 1
I play GTA online, specifically run n guns..where the gameplay is extremely fast. I experience alot of lag/latency when playing..my p5 is connected via ethernet with speeds topping 950 mbps..and my mobile speeds are 150 mbps..yet everything still feels laggy..what can i do?
My mobile hotspot has been better then my home internet 🤣🤣
Any reason why we can’t watch UA-cam or anything on it ?
What portable router you have and can you access the router through IOS browser on iPhone???
every one that drops a like drops a pushup
Did he say anything about the actual update or what?
Yoooo. Early gang wya???
Let's go!
Man mine also go out as well, but work while in the menu...crazy thing is I've seem some ppl videos and the lights are working.
I Hope They Add The Feature Of Be Able To Turn On The PS5 From The Portal. The Portal Is No Good If The PS5 Is Off. You Can Turn Off The PS5 From The Portal But Not On. Why???? 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
It’s a PS5 setting you need to turn on
That’s If The PS5 Is In Rest Mode. Not If It’s Is Completely Off.
So question what happens when the analogs start to mess up, like can you remove the scream and add it to different controllers?
From my knowledge no you can't do that...I did a video series showing how I was able to get mine replaced by Playstation.
That silicone case is the best I love it for mine and the same for the screen protector. Day one kept mine like yours exact.
The light bar on the dual sense turns off too in the main menu I think they do that for a reason
Bro why they just won't make a handheld ps5 that u can leave ur house with
You can leave your house with this you just need great internet.
I like this dudes style and cadence. Is reviews are pretty in point. I hope his channel gets bigger as these game reviewers have been… lacking lately.
Could you just put a motherboard from tablet in PlayStation portal?
Not sure
Hannibal burress voice
God no!
what is considered a fast internet speed to be able to play with this smoothly? cause I'm considering to get a portal and I'm not really that good at reading internet speeds etc.???
I would say at least 50-100mbps
Loving my PS Portal! Great videos…keep them coming!
loved my portal but the pain of having to keep downscaling my resolution and turning off HDR then when returning to my console putting everything back up ended up being a pain so i sold it for a legion go. i do miss the quick and easy aspect of it but the shortcomings were too much to overcome.
Hey bud, a quick question please. So did you opt to run the PS app on the Legion Go? Or did you opt to not do streaming and instead just committed to using a dedicated gaming device that doesn’t require internet connection?
@@Barry981 just going dedicated games on the PC. i heard if you run the ps app on the legion as of now you must also use a playstation controller since the native one won’t work but i haven’t proven that yet.
@@ryan6760 ah noted! I’m on the fence about getting one because it’s solely just an internet only strictly device. I’m hoping a new PSP comes out in the future though!
dope video thx for the review CKid
Appreciate you...much love!
I will get until they put Bluetooth audio on it
Plug your ps5 to Ethernet, portal or not. Unplug hdmi from PS5 when away. No issues 50+ miles away😎
Unplug HDMI? Why?
Yeah I have to unplug my HDMI as well. I have gigabit internet and the connection is terrible if the HDMI is plugged in. Once removed it’s buttery smooth.
I unplug it because it turns my TV on. But doesn't turn it off. The TV will just go to another input or Samsung TV
@@markryb666 That sounds weird. What would HDMI output have to do with streaming performance?
It’s still stupid you have to have it completely on to use the portal I mean you can’t leave it in rest mode
Great review! If only they added bluetooth functionality so I could use my AirPods.
That would've been goated...there is an adapter you can buy to bluetooth to that and plug into the portal but I hear there is a lag in it.
My iPhone promax is my Portal🤷♂️
What’s da best portable router to go wit?
Did they add the browser to it ? How am I supposed to connect to public WiFi?
You would need a portable router.
@@CKidM 😅
How do you get the best picture quality out of your portal?
For one...make sure you unplug your HDMI cable from your PS5 so that way it does not have to render both video feeds because you're only needing to play on one. That helps.
I’m sure everyone that has one , number one issue is the damn portal not working without WiFi
I have T-Mobile internet and it works as described
