Nice video, but disappointing for me that Jaguar have gone the full touchscreen control route. I know it's almost a forced move to keep the car relevant as it's (supposedly) what people want but nobody is going to convince me that it's not more dangerous to operate on the move. Yes, you get voice control but my (admittedly limited) experience of those is that it can be very hit and miss, and it also means having to break from listening to your music or having a conversation with your passengers - as well as the break in concentration - it's still not as safe or as quick as simply pressing a button. Apart from that, as someone who works on my computer and phone most of the day I'm quite happy to take a break from using a screen, and the last place I want one is on my car. I nearly bought a Volvo XC40 a couple of years ago and the fact that the heating controls required adjusting using the screen put me off, as it's the one thing I'm most likely to want to change on a long journey. So while I can understand why Jag have done it, it's a sad state of affairs when we have to compromise safety for the latest gimmicks. But no worries, the lane keeping and autonomous braking devices will probably save you as you lose concentration and start to drift out of lane while playing with the touchscreen. Other than that, nice job. Shame to lose the unique rising gear selector though, I thought that was a great feature. Looks like it's heading for becoming just another compact sports saloon, just another one of the growing crowd rather than having a touch of uniqueness. Maybe Alfa will save us from the sector becoming totally bland.
I've a 2016 audi A4 and didn't look at the Xe back then as the poor interior quality and below average refinement put me off. But now it looks so much better I want one!
My thoughts exactly. I don't mind a promotional video, but it should be described as such. This does the channel no favours as it makes them look dishonest.
the design of head lights looks sketchy and not as smooth as the rest of the car. The more I see these modern cars the more I feel that designs of all brands are sort of converging into a single type. Previously by looking a car from a distance you could say what model or company was it. Now its only the logo which is the differentiation. In that regard Mercedes has resisted too much of change in outer body looks. Maybe that is why its Mercedes.
I have had Mercs for last 12 yrs and now fancy a change. The xe looks good and 3 litre appeals, but sadly not available new--WHY?, I want performance, not a boring 160 b h p diesel,I dont care if it does 50,70 or 250 mpg Jaguar should beprimarily a performance car,or am I just old fashioned?A good used 380 b h p XE should be fun to drive and a joy to own
It is!😁😁 Never get tired of hearing the whine of the supercharger as it spools up. We have a 67 plate car in Corris Grey with the same wheels as that car in the video, and it is quite delightful just to stand and look at, let alone drive! £375 per year to insure too....mind you I am old and ancient at 53!🥴
@@phildavey3135 Ha Ha well I am 70 but still appreciate performance. Can't stand boring cars driven in boring way.I like to give it some stick Good to read your views
I agree with the first part but I kinda like the fact that XE is so unique and you do not see many of them on the street. Makes it feel more special than the Germans.
TATA GROUP NEEDS TO INVEST IN THE U.K. All of its growth and technology came from its U.K, Investment outside the U.K. Will cost them in the long term. I would not buy a car made by them.
Those wheels cos £3k to add. Make it look better for these cars they give to the journalists but I'd prefer to see it with the standard wheels as no one is going to pay £3k for them.

This should have been the first JLR vehicle with the new Ingenium inline 6 engine.
That silver spec is better 🔥
Ehh
This is the first time I am ever commenting on a video! The video is very well made🌸 impressive✨
This isn’t a review, it’s a demonstration - an advert...

That’s a 2020 😒, not a 2019
This car will smash all germans who force to keep buying cars JLR keeps a model for 5 years which is good for the environment also
I always thought the XE was a bit of an odd car but this new one looks fab and I want one!!!
Supposed to be a British car, so why do manufactures always review LHD?
Thumbs up ..... all around ..... including getting rid of those red and black seats.

David vee6 ... the diesel engine has 180 hp and drives very smoothly and is fast enough for modern traffic !.
Nice car, lovely presenter but I didn't hear anything negative. Makes it sound like a biased Jag review.
CarsFX simply re-uploads manufacturer marketing videos and labels them "FULL REVIEW!!" ...... without giving credit. Just so you know.
with v6??
Terrible sound quality and annoying music! This is the worst review I've ever seen. It's like an advert, and mentions no downsides.
Ginny from Carbuyer, what's she doing here??
Finally grumpy, chubby shape of rear lights have been redesigned.
Those fake grills ruined everything!
fakes down grills are on all cars.
bravo
Seemed like an advertisement more than a review.
bravo
Such a beautifully crafted car...it is one of the most important upgrade for TATA-JLR..hope this will be a breakthrough in sales for the automaker

Well your government fucked the economy of UK no clear direction for businesses force them to move out
Copy paste Wala channel😜😜👎👎
The indian car
4 banger with S badging is a joke! Weak engine! This should have minimum of V6 Turbocharged. I don't see many of these selling.
just give us an estate version of the XE...
