Jaguar XE 2020 (ENG) - Test Drive and Review
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 лис 2024
- Jaguar XE competes in the compact executive segment with models like the Alfa Romeo Giulia, Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C Class or Volvo S60. The British car debuted in 2015 replacing the Mondeo-based X-Type. The facelifted Jaguar XE 2020 has a more powerful engine and refreshed looks. Jaguar XE now has larger air inlets, which make the car seem lower and wider. It’s supposed to look more like the F-Type sports coupe. New headlights are now LEDs, with J shaped daytime running lights. In the back there is a new bumper and LED lights with new graphics. This is the R-Dynamic trim with the Black Styling Pack.
Starting price: 44 000 euro
As tested: 57 000 euro

After I saw your review about jaguar I bought new fresh jaguar XE thanks for honest review this is the car of 21st century I love it it's an excellent Car

"...the XE is a drivers car...compared to the (BMW) 330i the Jaguar XE is a better drivers car, that's it, if driving is your thing you don't have to look any further." Marek Drives
One of the most honest reviewers around
I think it looks great, love it in the red with the black pack. Far nicer to look at than any German bore box. I'd buy one in the same spec as shown, simply gorgeous looking car !!!!
The XE is head and shoulders above anything in its class
bravo jaguar
Want the Jaguar decals.
I would take the Jag just to be different ....also love the Mazda 3 & Volvo s60
Thanks Marek for another informative review , many would choose the Jag , or for that matter Alfa & Volvo , just to stand out & drive something different from the usual predictable German trio that are on every street in the country , they might be the sensible choice , but are no longer rare & exclusive so i would only get one on finance & let them take the depreciation hit when the used market is swamped with 3 series , C Class & A4's 3 years later out of warranty. It is likely there will be more collaborations in the compact executive class as this segment is obviously shrinking in favour of suv's & crossovers !.
When I saw your weekly video and when I saw jaguar... 😱 I was like, "omg, Marek did it!". Really thank you for the review, I was waiting for it so long, especially from my favorite car reviewers. I didn't watch it yet, but I trust you, I had to write the comment first... Now let's get to that beauty. Ps: I already test drove it, but I wanted to see and listen to your opinion. Great job man!
I would deffo have this xe over German cars . The colour is wow!!! And it looks very classy . After all, it’s a jaaaaaag . It’s stunning ❤️❤️❤️
Current UK XE diesel models are a great price at the moment..starting from £33k ..tempting.
Trying to decide between one of these used or a new Mazda 3 Skyactiv X GT Sport Tech
Great video and glad to have found the channel
I would be significantly more interested in this Jag if they made a wagon version
OMG, why should Jaguar also make a station wagon version? This is a sport sedan, not a family car
@@Interfak Why can't we have both a good looking sporty car but with an actually usable boot? They do it for the 3-series, C-Class etc and Jaguar does it for the bigger XF
@@Interfak it's a compact executive car (d segment) in the sporty side of the spectrum. So a sportbrake version still makes sense. (disclaimer: I'm not an estate fan)
Edit: these car commonly used as family cars here
I hope they won’t produce it, it is one of the most important advantages of this car in my opinion. Jaguar XF shooting brake is a bad car for its design🤢
I think they do, and if they don't there an XF version that looks like the XE.
The swich for the steering wheel should be on the left side I believe
Great review - I love the XE - forget lots of passengers and luggage! I also quite like the aero kit. Shame the finish in some areas is a bit low rent, and that there is no V6/I6 option...
Great honest review,,,,👍👍👍 Where can I get that body lip all the way round from? Thank you
I can't find the link right now, but someone told me it's a local dealer option here in Poland from a Polish body kit maker.
@@MarekDrives
Hello there, thank you very much for that I really appreciate it👍
I love Marek. Best car reviewer.
There's also a V8 XE.
Fantastic review...except, you know...say it
J blade
Giulia is redesigned too.
Boot finishing could be better. Maybe some panels missing? What are key points XE over a Giulia which also got facelift?
I didn't know Giulia had a facelift :)
@@MarekDrives It called Model Year (MY) 2020. Multimedia was revised, semi autonomous driving posibility added. Also little cosmetic changes.
Yeah, I don't understand why they decided to leave the metal exposed there!? Especially with those screw/bolts things sticking out that look like they could rip open cargo like suitcases if you fill the trunk to the top!?
But it looks like that in every photo I've seen. Either they forgot producing a panel for every review car or that's a really cheap move on an "luxury" class car.
@MietzklickLP Nope. That's Jaguar fit & finish. It was the same in the pre-facelift car, but over there the wires for releasing the rear seats were poorly attached. Here at least they stay in place.
When I was picking up the pre-facelift car they PR fleet guy specifically pointed out other premium brands also leave the metal exposed. And yes, they do leave it exposed, but at least they don't leave exposed bolts! :)
I miss classic Jaguar design. They could have updated the mechanicals and electronics.....
oh, how dare you do not like the TATAguar desing ;)
They have updated the suspension setup and the infotainment......and also jaguar is was and will be a classy looking car
Nice review. Where do you get that side decal?
I think it was a dealer option.
When you say Mercedes and Alfa are out, that means as in, they're not up to par with Audi and BMW?
Lol - JLR serious?. Some customers found the rotary gear knob CONFUSING?????????.
Are there 'SO CALLED' Customers from the local mental hospital?.
Hey man loving the reviews, from England, however, could you do conversions for miles per gallon of fuel as it'd be easier for us English and Americans to understand, thanks :)
Americans have a different size gallon to the UK.

Worst review of this beautiful car !!!
well done!
is this Firenze Red Metallic color ?
Yes.
Wich is that sport kit? (sideskirts, rear spoiler....)
032MB Black Pack.
Google 032MB
It's even available in the UK for the iPace:

@@MarekDrives I think people mostly talks about kit what is fitted at lower bumper from front, back and side. Black exterior pack / kit not adding spoilers.(maybe the back trunk spoiler is added?). If you talked about Black Ext. Pack (windows, grille, vents) than i understand and its my fault in case of misunderstanding. But the down "spoilers" are not part of this kit and its added by 3rd party (maxton design) ... nothing against your work i love your reviews (iam long time subscriber). Just wanted to ask if native black ext. pack looks cheap or if you mean lower spoilers.
Sorry, you're right. That body kit indeed seems to be the work of a third party. I have the spec sheet for this particular press car, and there's not a word about it.
I’ve bought one and actually feel sorry for BMW drivers, as there cars are two a penny, and interiors are shocking
Not sure what are you whinging about ! I own one and nothing in or about the car is in poor taste ...
Mate that decal and all the fake aero bits are definitely in poor taste. The car looks great without them.
@@ProfessorPesca Nit picking now are we ?
Well i cant coomment on your individual choice - which you have the right to have - but i love every aspect of my car . Let me also go on record to say its the best i have owned thus far .
Sandeep Sandhu The comments on poor taste in the video we’re exclusively about the decals and aero bit, not about the car itself. You seem to have taken gross offence at this. I think it looks a wonderful car personally.
@@ProfessorPesca lol no , wasnt offended ...just expressing my opinion since i own one ...thats all .
These channels of communication can be very one dimentional which may have lead to that confusion
Sandeep Sandhu well my apologies if I got the wrong end of the stick. Have a delightful day 😃
Jug? It's a Jag, not a jug. lol
This car is a thing of beauty far better than the boring ugly German rivals I mean BMW must be designed by stevie wonder yuk
It looks more like a Ford than most ford's do. Usual mildly amusing review.
Interior reminds me like in American ones, really not impressive.
I see no reason to buy this expensive car. Still very underwhelming. Alfa Guilia or 3 series for me
Its an individual choice
