Look at using stainless fishing leader wire (you can even get it with Black nylon jacket) along with crimp ferrules. Also a small turnbuckle mounted at the topside out of site to adjust it with. Eye bolts could be used for the attachment points, and then it will be stronger than the splitter. Great videos, need more. Thanks
I had the same issue without front splitter which got worse with sustained high-speed highway driving... Soo I installed a front splitter and is working well, but it looks like I need to use your cable technique before a catastrophic failure of the air dam and spliter. Thanks for your infinite wisdom of the V-sport!
I'm having the same problem now and didn't have a fix in mind besides replacing the bumper. Thanks for the more cost effective solution. Looking forward to seeing how it turned out so I can get to work on my own.
That was something I noted in the old video. Unfortunately that only helps to an extent and the forces exceeded the clean drill holes and extended the cracks.
You didn't mention what initially caused the cracks. I've tracked mine over a dozen times and have no issues. Now, my front bumper was chewed up by stones, so I had it repainted, and they only charged me $700 to remove and repaint it. You can get new oem bumpers for $600, so the total would be $1300. Add another$500 for xpel if you don't want to paint again.
Teach it to mew, looks like it's got a case of bad mouth breathing. It's gotta learn to breath more from the grill, not at the dam. Side note: you might as well reinforce it with a non aggressive splitter if you don't want it to look too much of a track car.

Great tips Edward. I’ll pin this comment for others to see your suggestions!
I bought my CTS and it had that problem. I ended up having a body shop replace the whole front end. That is a brilliant idea. 👍

Thanks, Danial. Good thinking outside the box! Again.
More videos on the cts please 🙏🏽
This is a great idea. I'm glad I don't have this issue as of now. But I will reference back to this video if/when it happens to me.

Good stuff (per usual)!!!!!!
Maybe a video of ownership and milage, a driving video
If you have cracking, drill a small hole at the end of the crack to reduce the stress concentration (like what is done for cracks on windshields

I believe it was the aftermarket splitter I used to run that caused cracks initially
@@JetFuelOnly that makes sense, thank you.
honestly, it looks good. how is it holding up after the track runs? I'll replace the bumper and do this for the new one.
I don’t take it to the track any more
Hey bro, are you still running that trifecta tune on the Cadillac? If so, how’s it been? Did you really feel an increase on horsepower?
Yes still running it. 70k miles with it now or so. Yes you definitely feel the power. But if you want to take your car further go Schmidty
I hope mine doesn’t ever break
Ok. It would be more secure. If you push the loop through the hole and run the cable through the loop.
Good suggestion

I have problems with trash getting stuck in there
Buy some automotive mesh and zip tie it from the inside. Works like a charm
