I have the order VHT Deliverance 120. It is absolutely my favorite amp, ever. Everything Mr Thorn said in this video is dead-on accurate. It IS a Marshall killer, and is a severely underrated amp! It’s made me sell off so many amps, because it was pointless keeping amps that I never would play. I currently only have my D120, a Soldano HR50+, my VHT Pittbull Classic and a Splawn Super Sport 50. I sold all of my Marshalls and avoided buying a Friedman BE100 and JJ20, because I just preferred the Deliverance. Last, but definitely not least… PETE, those riffs are absolutely amazing!!! Love the way you got all the good sounds out of this thing! And it will totally do brutal metal without an overdrive, too. The rock tones are where it’s at with this amp, though. Steve Fryette is a genius!
I think Steven said in an interview with Kristian Kohle that amongst his favourite/most inspired from amps are Hiwatts. Makes sense. Also has plenty of Mark series genetics in it.
It has a lot of bite and the kind of clean I get by using pedals. Definitely my kind of sound. I have a Plexi set to just before breakup and add pedals. It is so strange to hear an amp that does this right out of the box!!! Impressive. THANX for the demo!!!!
Hey Pete. I use the Fryette Power Station. 50 watts and just about any head you want to use. Really sounds good and great service from the guys. Oh got one of the Pete Thorn II's. The Ocean Turquoise and it's one of the best guitars I have. Been playing 55 years now and the craftsmanship is second to none. Suhr is one hell of guitar makers. They must have a lot of time getting the neck so good. Best I've seen. The paint job is fantastic. Just thought you might like to know what an old player thought. CW
Awesome like everything Fryette made and makes. I really miss my 2502, almost as much as I miss my X88R. They were an unbelievably rocking combination.

Wow! First of all your chops are crushing! That phrasing is crazy awesome! The tones from every guitar had a really sweet chunky vibe! I do love that there was a really nice separation of notes even heavily saturated. The cleans gave me a bit of Matchless/Bassman vibes. I definitely am feeling this amp!

Just prepare. As much as you can prepare your sounds, prepare the parts, etc. and then, when you do the gig, there's got to be a certain amount of just letting go and playing. Just be as comfortable as you can and do your best.
There was a guy online that got a great old Van Halen tone out of the original version of that amp!! Better than most guys got with their plexi and varac?
Oh I have! DC 30, a bit, back in the 90's... For that style, i became a Top Hat amp aficionado, back around 97 or so... so I was always kinda in that camp. But matchless, very nice

Matchless are " failed" improved super-vox amps; they attempted to use all kinds of spectacularly awesome techniques to improve a vox AC-30 , and created the DC30, especially for Sir Dr Brian May , which he rejected!!!!!!! That's the only reason that I NEED!
@@timnotbrianmay my sincere apologies, but I firmly disagree. Matchless Amplifier Company do make the DC 30 but they make many more amplifiers that are not based on the VOX AC 30. Do some research - get on the Internet - check stuff out bud….
I say this as a JCM800 50w and 1987x 50w player. It cleans up far better than either of these two but I want a lower output so I can push the gain stages earlier without blowing out my ear drums lol
The Deliverance has a lot more preamp gain on tap than your 800 and 1987x, so it doesn't need to be turned up as loud. 30w is not that much quieter than 60w anyway, but could potentially make a physically smaller and lighter amp if that's what you're looking for.
@northernamplification8894 In part, it's both. If you've played an 1987 you'll know they're incredibly loud to the point where it's unusable at home without an attenuator. That and they're both incredibly heavy.
They’re not quite as dry as the Pittbulls, but definitely dryer than your average 5150 variants and most modded Marshalls and similar. Not the most ideal bedroom amps, but on stage and in a mix, they’re very hard to beat!
UA-cam FUCKING REFUSES to play this properly! Constantly dropping frames at 0:35 and refusing to buffer beyond 0:38. I have made one dozen attempts on two different days.

I’ve owned a VHT Pittbull for over 20 years and it’s still one of my all time favorites. Fryette makes great stuff.
