I appreciate his playing, it’s very different from my own style and of most things I listen to. I think he does a great job really pushing gear and I’ve been both considering this amp and/or Synergy.
This amp sounds so good. Thanks Pete for doing these videos. Your guitar playing is fantastic and it’s so nice to hear real, serious music on equipment demos. Kudos
That sequence of adjectives alone at the end of the video was worth a "like"! You do a great job of keeping these videos entertaining and fun. Not to mention that you are, quite likely, creating some of the greatest guitar related content available online right now. AND you're Canadian! It's a win-win in every direction.
I have this module in my Synergy rig and it's an absolute sledgehammer through my Orange PPC412 cab and the presence/depth knobs really bring it to life. I've toyed with an original Deliverance before (60 watt version) and I'd say that the module comes very close to the feel and tone of the original.
Now that I have the Deliverance module, I do not feel bad that my disability is forcing me to sell my Sig:X (my white whale, it still amazes me that I got to own one for a few years).
I think saw an extra “gear” and real risk taking from Pete in this one. A great sense of composition that made it possible. Pete and Tim are just not holding back these days. I love it. The think the thing that takes Pete’s reviews to another level is his tailored compositions-with an attention to the predominant aspects of the gear his is reviewing. Beats noodling any day.
For anyone else.. this would be an album track. You wack it up on UA-cam.. Top shelf Thorn! That's before we get to the module itself! hahahhaaaa Great idea with the pre-amp modules. Will look into the Freyette .. although I've got a LOT of amps already!! hahahaa
You make everything sound perfect! It's like Alice in Chains, STP, and Pearl Jam were all in the same studio laying down tracks together at lunch. Your green strat style Suhr without chorus literally sounded like you still had it on! That guitar has some kind of mojo to sound the way it does and the rolled fretboard... It must feel good to have that over anything else for a long gig.
"High Gain Heaven" - nice one Pete! 😂😂😂 Hey, BTW, love your demo tune. Hope it makes it to an upcoming album! It's so cool the way you change things up every 8 bars, but IMHO what really carries it is WHAT you change to; every section builds up or cools down and they all just fit together so smooth and natural, and just pull you in and take you along. You have such a gift dude!!! Rock on!!!
Great Video as always Pete! I have to say that this has got to be my my favorite tones that I've heard you play yet! While I'm very familiar w/Fryette amps I've not had a chance to try the Fryette Synergy mods yet. Wow! Great Clean sounds. I've always felt that Fryette gets a really pigeon holed as a Metal or High Gain only amp & you did a great job showcasing the clean side. I've seen some absolutely insane tele chicken' pickin' on Fryette amp head before. Great job showing the dynamic range of this Deliverance mod - sounds very true to form to it's big bro. I'd love to hear you do an A/B comparison of this mod & a D-120! Unusually great tone Pete - even for you sir! Cool Song bed! Thanks for sharing!
I love how you compose your parts... never hear a typical scale run... inspires my playing. Also, love the synergy gear. My favorite was the 335 tone. Best of luck.
I love the varied but excellent sounds from this module.great cleans and mean sounding gains and ....love the composition, tones and playing, smoking hot solo!I do have this module and the Bogner Ecstasy module>>great job as always Pete!
If I didn't already own this module, I'd buy one based on this video. Funny that I've been describing it to my friends as 'raw' as well. I hope this amazing tune ends up on Pete's next record.
After watching this amazing video of Pete’s song and gear demo, I see his fantastic playing and all I can think is...how did he get an undercut haircut to grow out so evenly?
I remember Pete saying that he would love to try a JS Ibanez. I have found the perfect one.... Ibanez JS 2450 muscle car purple. Ibanez....send one to Pete!. I think he might like it!.
Thank you, Pete :) Your videos and approach for introducing a gear in a true mix context is great to get real impressions how it feels :) It is saying more than just playing around. Those synergy idea looks interesting and sounds so great. I wish you could compare recordings of synergy syn1/2 into through ox into computer vs syn-30 with real cabs through mics into computer ;)
@@ondrejholiencin8555 My bad about chain description. My intention was curiosity how recording from syn1/2 'directly' into computer (using cabs sims internal/external) stands against syn30 with real cabs through real mics/preamps into computer. Of course - I understand 'into computer' as recording through an audio interface.
@@PeteThorn - thanks man, you're the best! BTW I'm thinking about getting a set of either your humbuckers or Aldrich for a custom Warmoth I'm putting together. It's a mahogany body and neck. Would that make for a good combination? It'll have a 5-way switch wired PRS style for the in-between tones.
Fryette Amplification is the current from of what VHT used to be, as Steve Fryette sold the VHT brand to a Chinese company who wanted it (for some reason). Steve Fryette has since bought the Sound City and Fane brands, resurrecting them such that he can market amps inspired by Hi-Watt and speakers which meet his requirements (for both Fryette and Sound City amps). The word from Sound City (presumably, Steve himself) is that a Sound City Synergy preamp module is under development.
Pete had to take the battery out of his smoke detector for that solo. Holy balls.
Just checking in as part of the 90% of viewers who are just here to gawk at Pete’s playing.
yeah...like i'm gonna buy that thing? nope ;)
Thank you man! Thank you for being here and listening
@@hotglassbottles don't say that. His sponsors could be watching. You have to make them think you're going to buy it so they pay him more

I just click on most of these to hear whatever tune you came up with for the intro. Always good stuff.
Anything I've ever owned or tried from Fryette has been excellent.
That solo at the end... I am speechless😮
This amp sounds so good. Thanks Pete for doing these videos. Your guitar playing is fantastic and it’s so nice to hear real, serious music on equipment demos. Kudos
Wow...insanely good playing! What I'm hearing is 30 plus years of dedication and commitment to the craft. Awesome and inspiring! Cheers
Damn man. Another devastatingly killer demo. I think i look forward to your vids more than any other channel I'm subscribed to
Thanks so much!
This stuff belongs on an album - just record it for God’s sake - we’d all buy it
Peter Evans Just record it for Pete’s sake :-) ...see what I did there...
Yes yes yes ,, Pete? Where is an album with this demo music? Must have

Brilliant ! I used to demo the deliverance for Steven in France and musikmesse, the module reminds me a lot the sound of the deliverance 60.
I enjoy the the "in the room" camera angles. Thanks for the info/review. Playing is stellar as always.

great song Pete! When you got to the whammy bar section, it took me to my happy place.
Cracking demo song this time - it really deserves some vocals, and to be on the next album. Deliverance module sound killer!

OX is intended to work with an amplifier not a preamp. Just plug the Synergy preamp into the interface directly and use the
IRs from your DAW.

Am I hearing some opeth influence in the beginning of this track? Or am I just equating it because the amp module is called deliverance?
The rock faces! Awesome!! O and playing not bad either 😆
Sick playing and tones! Have you thought about doing this professionally? ;)
Do you have a fire extinguisher in your studio? (haven't seen one)
I was sure this would be the Opeth signature Synergy amp because of the name and their recent deal.
Steve Fryette has made the Deliverance since before he sold the VHT name.

All of the rhythm guitars were through the cabinet with greenbacks, the lead guitars are Suhr Reactive load with V30/4-12 IR
