Yep
A tip : you can watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.
@Briar Bodie definitely, I have been using Flixzone} for since december myself =)
@Briar Bodie yup, I have been watching on flixzone} for since november myself :D
As a dog owner who goes camping with their dog. I just like to say thanks for helping the dog out. I would be totally distraught if I'd lost my dog. Keep up the good work!
Awwww, took the lost pup back to her owner. You are so kind and humble.
I love your rainy camping videos! I grew up camping all over the east coast of the US. I miss it now that I am old and decrepit. Ha ha! Keep the rainy trips coming!
Love the sound of rain. Well done for helping the dog. Good man.
Thankyou mate she a old bugger
The sound of rain on a tent / tarp is so relaxing! For me, it's perfect sleeping weather!
Love a big tarp. I use the dd 4.5x3. it gives you options !
I have the DD 4x4
Bigger tarps are great in my opinion. Gives you more space to cook or sit. If it’s windy it’s key to set it up properly as you know. When expecting lots of rain take a piece of paracord and do a drip line at the end of your hammock. Then you have no worries of water making it’s way down and into your under blanket or hammock. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
Its great to see you put the camera way back and get a great view of the land and the trees and the rain and hammock and tarp set up
Nice to see someone actually camping in our rainy weather 👍
I agree it makes a trip so much more enjoyable if you go out with someone else - You talk and put the world to rights - eat and have a few beers/ ciders and you seem more chilled. You sleep better as well.
Beautiful act of kindness for both dog and owner! Thank you for yet another video!
Aww well done for finding the owner of the dog not everyone would of done that
Hi mate it was me find her owner or she was falling me home in the morning
@@englishwoodsman Hi Dan , your Dog would not have welcomed a new friend ,me thinks !
This is what makes you a decent person, keep being who you are.
@@englishwoodsman hahaha I never thought of that one 😂😂😂
Regarding your use of the 5m tarp, I use the DD 4x4 as my main tarp. I am going to purchase the 3x3 to add to my equipment. The main reason I use the 4x4 is for the coverage it provides in conditions just like those in your video. I can hang the 4x4 in A frame-with or without doors or in diamond configuration to get 5.65m of coverage! The larger tarps protect better agains heavy rain; sideways blowing winds etc. and they provide so much more walk-around space when one is not in the hammock. So I think you made a good choice to increase the size of your tarp to 5 meters.
I love sleeping in my hammock in the rain. Great video.
Thankyou for watching mate 👍
Dan, time on your own is time to be cherished. Listen to a audio book or a podcast. It gives your brain time to reset without new information coming in. Your own company is the best company you can have, you just need to adjust to it. I love socialising with all my mates and never want the night to end. But to have time to myself is my greatest pleasure where I get to do what I want for a while. Great video and great rain sound. And the 5m tarp was the perfect size :)
Great stuff bigger the trap the better
Bigger the better 😯😯
You’re a hero for finding the dog's owner in the rain!
You can’t have a big enough tarp. It gives you more protection and room during the rain.
Throughly enjoyed this video and take care ❤️🇨🇦
Thankyou for watching
Awww bless you for helping that little old lost doggy 😊 that 1st meal looked like it belonged to the dog 😆
That meal was horrible mate
@@englishwoodsman What was it again Dan? So we can avoid it in the future? another good video mate, thanks.
Don't get bored m8 just remember how lucky you are to be able to do it
Your 100% right mate
Good man for sorting out the lost dog. The tarp, bigger is better. Really enjoy your videos, Thank you 👏👍👍
Really enjoyed this one, great idea having the bigger tarp much better coverage... Chocolate pudding looked very nice... ATB Chris.
Great vid mate and good job with the dog. Im glad to see you use the global camping measurement of guessometrics when preparing food. Works every time. 😀 All the best from Perth, Western Australia 👍🇦🇺🍻
Love the videos bro keep up the good work 🏴🏴🏴
Lovely video sir
Enjoyed watching with my son
Thankyou for watching lads
Glad I'm not the only one who prefers camping in the rain, theirs just something about the noise of rain on a tarp or tent that cannot be beat!
Just wish I could get out more often, my trail legs need a good stretch!
Great video there Dan. I love the sound of rain on a tarp and to be honest the sound would have sent me off the sleep straight away. Love the big tarp, I have the DD 4X4 and swear by it!! Only tow things that I have an issue with. I'd have Drip Lines attached and anything that comes in a bag can and sometimes should be cooked. Apart from that Tent Meal :-/ that should be left in the bag...at home!! I'm off at the end of the month with a mate and can't bloody wait!!
Big thumbs up. Thanks
Got the same 3x5 tarp think it is awesome. So many different uses and set ups you can use it for. I had it set up so that I provided a wind break and ground sheet
Great video. Going hammock camping tomorrow here in Portugal. Hugs
GREAT VIDEO and over here in Colorado USA I love the accent! FYI... The wind screen around a canister stove like 14:07 actually becomes a heat trap and it can cause the check valve to pop or the canister to explode. There are several websites that tell stories of that happening. Leave a gap for air to go in and some heat to exit like 18:06. Another thing... add two water breaks, one on each end of that orange ridgeline or it will drip water down right in the middle. It will do just what the tree straps are doing.
Awe you made a friend so cute
Got to admit i thought it was your dog and having a laugh, but nice one and dog knows its instinct of trust. 👍
The dog needed help and it know people can help .
Im glad you left in your late night paranoia attack, it's good to know even experienced people get creeped out solo camping. That tarp is a beast of a thing, as for the extra space, u used it all up so it definately wasn't excessively big in the end.
Get yourself a nice little camping chair Dan you won't regret it 👍🏼🖤
Thought you were going to eat the dog ,,!
Thanks for making the effort and finding the owner .. take care.
Daniel, nice one on the dog business!
It strikes me that you should bring a hobby. Carving a spoon and reading does it for me...the carving needs to be put to bed before any drinks though!
Tarps , 5x5 meter is great for making many different tent / tarp setups , and of course you have masses of space to do things under there !
I am glad I taken this tarp I was going to use a 3x3
Sound of rain on tarp. Bliss.
Cracking video as always. I’d love to see a video reviewing Jet Boil (and equivalents) compared to a standard stove and for the British Weather lovers amongst us... some dry bags. Many thanks and keep well!
Great adventure as always and fair play for finding the owner. I want to see you design your own outdoor adventure equipment. The name Danoex sounds catchy lol.
Great, no nonsense vid as always. I love a hammock. Like you; it makes a great seat to have it horizontal. But to sleep in one I've found it best to really raise the head end. Because you're basically sleeping in a banana this way keeps your head above your feet. Try it?
I love the 2 person hammock.
After watching her sheltering under your tarp, it was good to know you found her owner again :-)
I wish everyone a wonderful night and a happy peaceful life where all your dreams come true. 💌 💌 💌
Quality video 💜, quality guy 🫡, just glad I found you 😁 as was the dog 🐶 you have an awesome heart 💜
That's poor dag. I left my full equipment for a hour walking that dog back .
@@englishwoodsman that’s just goes to show how kind are 👍
It makes me smile when I see the green banana under the tarp 😀 I’m hoping to have my own hammock camping experience in August but which hammock? Hmmmmm
Great set up in atrocious weather a proper real world test of equipment
It's got a great test and did well
That first meal looked like,,, not nice. 👍
Good job finding the dog's owner Dan
Thankyou mate
Another top vid pal 👌👍👊🐩🐩
I was going to go out last night but didn't want to deal with the wind. Top man Dan, you did it for me. Thans and stay safe.
Next time get out mate
Love ur vids x special when the rain hits
Size of tarp is everything!!!
Great video. I've still not used a tarp.
That first meal looked absolutely grim 😂
Suppose if you don't try these things you never know.
Another great vid mate 👍🏻
I want be eating that's again mate
I tried those as well, I though they looked a bit different. They tasted different as well!!!! Not for me.
Nice video. Only issue with a big tarp is You need so big real estate to put it up. I prefer 3x3. Easier to place and less to worry about.
A great deed done - so good to see a person helping someone's lost pet - found.
Great video this !
Thankyou for watching, I am just setting up my hammock now so a new video will be out soon mate
@@englishwoodsman nice mate looking forward to it! Enjoy the camping!
Alright Dan, not sure about the 5m tarp, I can't see me needing anything more than my 4x4 but each to their own buddy, well done on finding the dog owner 👍👍👍 the smile on your face after binning the veg meal for some meat 🤣🤣🤣🤣 quality pal, the weather forecast this weekend in Cumbria is looking bad so I may well do the same and head to my permission in the hammock, keep up the good work buddy, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
That's me for the next 27 minutes!
Hi mate next weekend is a two night in the Lake District but a 2 hour slot for me 🤣🤣
@@englishwoodsman haha will do, maybe more if Scott's with you as I watch his too lol
Dan the dog Man. A well fed lost dog would've enjoyed that first meal mate. Good deed tho for man's best friend. Big tarp big idea lots of dry space. Thanks for sharing your adventure in the rain. Bushyboy Oz.
Thankyou for watching mate
Like ur honesty on solo camping i want to do it but i think ill just get board and go to bed so i just stay at home.
Missed a few vids. So catching up on what i have missed
Know about night noises 😂 enjoy the solitude fella 👍
You're a chilled out dude I like that nice upload also 👌
Another cracking video marra
I have an Aquaquest 4.5 by 4.5 Defender Tarp , 20.000mm Hydrostatic head ! , only problem with it is the Weight , 7.4 lbs , never let me down though , even in the 1980's storms it stayed put , Great for making sigle pole tents , Teepee style .
nice solo overnighter dan, im out again tomorrow...atb..jeff.
I will be watching mate as alway
Another great video. Glad you found that dogs owner, hope they were grateful.
I was out for a walk on Sunday and experienced all 4 seasons up Fair Snape and Parlick, but there’s something about being out in the rain, loveleh.
All I needed was snow 😂😂
recently subscribed love your channel
Good video this mate, always good to see you out no matter the weather! Funny little visitor you had there too, glad you managed to find the owner 👍
It's only rain mate ,it's the wind the I hate
@@englishwoodsman Aye mate I 100% agree, fine with rain but wind makes for a cold wet night 😂
Nice one Dan. You suite a little staffy. Would keep you company on those solo camps. Love the sound of rain on a tarp. Fair play for staying out through that.
I would love a camping dog mate but my dog is 14 and he will not even walk
Great content again Dan, large tarp is a great idea then you’re not sat like a hobbit in the rain. Emma & Rick 👍🏼
Thankyou for watching Emma & Rick
Lovely stuff 👍
Thankyou mate when you back out with us
@@englishwoodsman pmd you
The poor dog looked soaked, well done for getting the fur ball sorted 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Thankyou for watching. I could not leave the old bugger
Another good 1 keep them coming 🏕🏕
Love your up loads 👍🏻
Thankyou mate but back to work now so only two video a week
Your a good bloke Dan I know its not really part of the video but getting that old dog bk to its owner just shows what top bloke you are all the best marra take care stay safe #leavenotrace 👍🏕️🐕🦺
I could not leave the old bugger alone in the woods not in that weather
Well done Dan for rescuing that dog 🐕 top man 👍🏼🖤👊
Still watching, so I may eat these words, but... You really should've put some sort of drip-line/drip-stick on your hammock lines - Loving it so far though!
Thankyou for watching
You are such a good man looking after that dog. Thank you from sylvie ukxx
I could not leave the old bugger mate
if its likely to be windy and you have a big tarp id be looking at putting one edge of tarp down to the ground as a wind block, and use the other side as a rain canopy
You saved the doggo! I just knew you were a good sort by watching your videos :)
I'm clearly a miserable git Dan as i quite like camping alone. Tarp wise i have the DD 3.5 x 3.5 and also the 4.5 x 3 for the wet and windy stuff. That first meal just needed a bit of mango chutney to hide the blandness lol.
Fantastic i definitely need to get out in the hammock. Great deed you did finding the dogs owner, much respect 💪🏻
Hi mate just don't get out when it's bad weather
@@englishwoodsman I don't mind the weather. Sometimes just need to get out. Good for the mind. 👍
👏🏻👏🏻Fair play to you Dan ..solo in weather like that ...Keep up with the excellent camps👏🏻👏🏻
Will do mate 👍
Another great video! Thanks mate. Wish I could do it but Croatia is a dangerous place. All the land mines haven't been cleared from the Balkan domestic war in the 90s. Not a safe place to wild or stealth camp.
I will do all your camping mate
@@englishwoodsman Thanks! Enjoy.
Damp camp, well done on helping the doggo 👍
Hi mate that poor dog she was so happy when she seen her owner
I kinda like bad weather 'AFTER' I set up lol Hate setting up in the rain though
Thats better, you must have read my mind lol.
Dan,when are you going to start doing some winter camping?
love the sound of rain on tent puts me to sleep .well done finding owner of the dog
I like the rain sound just not the wind
I was tempted... Rain - no problem, but the forecast said 60+mph gusts and I thought...NOPE!
I need a bit more experience with a tarp and hammock before I venture down that unforgiving route, I've only been out with my hammock and tarp once last month.
Random question: Diamond or square tarp setup for high winds?
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The wind was bad a times mate
Have you ever put trail cameras out to see what was about while camping?
Nothing wrong with a 5x5 tarp mate good choice
Nice one for looking after the doggo.
*Doffs cap*
I could not leave the poor bugger
cracking fella
Good video, takes a bit to be in your own company. Perhaps a small paperback or note pad to pass some time. Did you collect the rain to top up your water supply? Tastes like nectar first thing on a morning.
