Really good show, however the final question should have been what steak/flavor out of the beef did you enjoy the best , the reason I asked Is this I live in Asia and am Canadian I have tried all types of wagu cuts and I can honestly say for me it's a toss up between a USDA Ribeye and and an Aussie Ribeye , both are reasonable priced per kilo so your not going to break the bank , wagu can probably be described as this , the texture is quite different then a regular steak( meaning tender in a different way then you expect ) and lacks the beefy flavor of a proper ribeye ,of course when the ribeye is prepared medium rare, also Here's a quick tip for the viewers if you want to add a little more beefier flavor to your steaks ie Ribeyes try salting them moderately on both sides place on a plate uncovered overnight in the fridge and cook you'll be very surprised with the outcome 👍

These two guys absolutely inspire me to keep trying new things and new flavors. Though I will say that the one time I truly saw disappointment in my dad's eyes (well, maybe not the ONLY time, technically) was when everyone in our family preferred my steaks to his. It's interesting because I'm actually moving away from Steaks that are heavy in fat because I've found that I enjoy the taste and texture more of the leaner cuts. This wasn't the case when I was younger so I don't know if it's that my taste buds are continuing to change as I age or if I've simply gotten better at cooking steaks and can appreciate the subtleties of flavors that I previously missed out on because I invariably overcooked the meat.

When it comes to heavy marbling there comes a point of diminishing returns. This is especially true if your hungry and want to eat a decent amount of meat. I've eaten steak so rich in marbling that after a 2 bites I felt nauseous from all the fat/oil and had to stop eating.
