    Nicely done! One extra thing for cap warfare is that you need a small amount of capacitor to warp away, whether point to point on grid or to another off grid point (or at least off grid if not the whole way there at first). Draining your opponent's capacitor completely in PVP can be an extra way of scramming them sans using a scram or point. This also works from NPCs cap warfare against players in PVE so be mindful of that if you don't tank your capacitor and are going into a mission or place where NPC's will attempt that.

      It's VERY hard to do though, since the moment they regenerate even a tiny bit they can warp part way at least.

    Great video, Sir o7, I think I have picked up most of this as bits and pieces from all your other videos, but this is a very cool all in one resource! I remember you saying many times in WH ratting that you can use a Nos on rats. You just can't neut them out. Honestly, most I know comes from your videos. A bit from just playing and learning.

    Damn... I've just learned something on a fit that I already use. I've got a crazy Dragoon fit for FW, it uses 3 local reppers to drain my cap/fix my ship. Top rack has 4 Nos and 1 Neut.
    Goes like this... Start everything on my ship while I Nos FW target. Once my cap is almost completely drained, I switch NOS to a NPC in the plex, and activate my Neut on FW target. FW target ends up cap dry quickly, easy kill.
    I didn't know that the NPCs "cap" would not lose any cap at all.... Eternal cap, nice.

    I'll be honest, I'm shocked people still believe that nosferatus don't work on NPCs and my character is heavily invested in EWAR, so I know it works lol.

    Good video, I've played EVE for years now and still learned a couple of things I didn't know. One thing that I don't believe was mentioned is cap batteries provide a capacitor warfare bonus (%), which I assume is a reduction of transfer amount.

    • @RadioWhar
      @RadioWhar 2 місяці тому +1

      with over 400 ships and thousands of modules, you have to get rid of the idea of learning ship fittings and instead focus on learning the theory of fitting ships.

    • @captainbenzie

      As has been said, focus on fitting the ships you have and learning what those fits do. Take it steady, there's a lot to learn but you don't need to learn it all!

    Great video. I was literally trying to explain the capacitor the other night to a newbro who came from Wow. I found comparing it roughly to "mana" helped him sort of grasp it where Neuts/Nos could almost be seen as "Mana Burn". 😂 There are definitely similarities, but it's definitely a more delicate balancing act in Eve.

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  2 місяці тому +1

      I've talked about it before similarly.
      "Modules use mana, your mana naturally regenerates, and that regeneration gets stronger as you get closer to 30%. Below that and the regeneration becomes weaker. Cap boosters are like an Arcane Burst, and Nosferatus are like Mana Drain."

    What I've always heard is that NPC capacitors can drain all the way down to zero, but their modules just keep running regardless of their cap. This is an important distinction because it means that certain NPCs can be nos drained under some circumstances but not others.
    Edit: the Eve uni page on cap warfare implies, though does not explicitly state, that this is the case. It also mentions that Abyssal Deadspace ships (and Trigs generally) do rely on their cap for reps and EWAR, and that they can be neuted out.

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  2 місяці тому

      To clarify, Neuts never worked before, and still don't on most NPCs. Into the Abyss fixed this, and made it so they have fixed capacitor, that never drains, but CAN be Nos'ed. Some enemies in Abyssals Deadspaces CAN be neuted and have variable capacitor, but it's not a good strategy to Neut Abyssal NPCs as it doesn't switch off all their modules, but Nosing them absolutely works.
