      It really lets the viewer see what shot you threw without right out telling them "fairway goes left blablabla", and for someone that doesn't know the course (like myself) that's awesome!

    C line md1 has quickly become my favorite disc in my bag, so straight and glidey but still has that hint of stability.

    I didn't take a handgun to my Geo Origin and it quickly became one of my favorite midranges to throw after trying it out. I bet that thing will get nice and seasoned quick.

    I'd recommend an Origin to any new player. It's definitely more of an extra slow fairway than a mid with -2 turn and glide forever where the MD1 is straighter and isn't quite as fast and glidey. They're both great, just for different slots.

    Bodanza is a flake, there, I said it... mooching a place to stay and still can't commit to a collab. Some people's kids. Whatcha gonna do? You're clearly the better man. You like your blue mids. I like pink for anything very overstable. I have a pink understable disc and it drives me crazy, OCD is a terrible thing. Origin is clearly inferior. Smash. Have a great week, kind sir.

    Never thrown an MD1, but due to my shitty forehand I absolutely love the Origin for the super reliable turnover. There's a hole at my local course that I've parked every time since I began throwing my Origin on it.

    I have flat/very slight hyzer and flat/very light anhyzer. Flat is not really a thing for me so sometimes me and md1 don’t get along but I like it when I don’t throw like a dummy I like it

    • @jamesstricklin4056
      @jamesstricklin4056 Рік тому

      I also think of my md1 as a slower origin my orgin goes way to far to be a midrange I can push it to 360 easily and almost 400 if I hit it just right

    • @prattacaster
      @prattacaster Рік тому

      I feel you, that's partly the reason I bag MD1/MindBender. I know that if, by some miracle, I release it flat it is going to go dead straight, lol. It's also money for slight turns to the left or right, just put it on a little bit of angle and it's going to go where you want, never dumps out. I forehand hyzer flip it as well, great teaching tool for that if you're struggling with finesse forehands.

      @@prattacaster Tbh I’m actually very good with angle control on back hand just not at throwing flat I can throw straight tunnel shots just with a very slight flip up but I love a good flat to anhyzer throw in the woods I lost my forehand for a while and just got it back

    Question, is overstable or understable better when you want to go as far left as possible after a mando tree 200-250 ft ahead with a reasonable ceiling? So hard fade vs spike hyzer kinda flip up.

    • @NateTurner

    Right now I've got a Pathfinder, Lizzotle Hex, MD1, and an Echo for my mids. I am trying to find out if I like the MD1 better than the Mako3. I found the origin to be too flippy for me, kind of like a Wombat3 IMO. The Echo and MD1 are new additions for me. I am excited to see a video comparing them!

    Origin is too unpredictable of a stability if thrown over 275 feet imho. At least the one I have from the first stock Neo plastic run. Unless your release angles are dialed to the mm, there's no hitting lines with it. And god help you if there's any wind. A mind bender, which gets turn for sure, but controllable turn, and you can still pump it out to 350 and know what it's gonna do, is just a better mid range to me. And the stock MD1 runs have even a bit more stability and can be just as useful. The origin might be good as a longer putter, like a touch shot, patent pending, etc. kinda disc, but for anything in the 300 foot and up range it's the one of the worst discs and I would never reach for it. This doesn't make it a bad disc, I think it is just more of a utility disc with the stability it has, vs. a workhorse which the MD1 is far more capable of being. Just my personal opinion. I'd love to hear other takes on the origin and what shots/distances you find it useful at.

    • @superdog3293
      @superdog3293 Рік тому

      I'm an avid origin user (bag neo and meta origin) and I 100% use it as just a longer putter. Granted, my distance class is ~250 even with the more stable mid ranges, so that might contribute to it. I don't tend to put much power on it (can be done, but too touchy to be serious with it) and personally use it a lot around 200 to 230ish feet on straight shots, turnovers, or gap hits.
      I'd say it's very good for beginners, as it doesn't take much power to get it to hang flat for 200 feet. I'd say it's definitely not the kind of disc that can occupy all your slots in that speed class, even beginners I'd recommend a more stable disc to complement it.
