  • The Lake Country Microfiber Cutting Pads use a unique material to provide industry leading cutting capabilities, while also finishing at the same time. The fibers mat down less frequently...resulting in lower pad temps.

      I used the Megs for years until I a few months ago I change to the Buff & shine and not looking back, I love them, the microfiber lasts a lot longer, I tried the Uro Fiber and they are good too but I stick with the regular ones. Nice video my friend.

      Mine have been the Meguiars microfiber cutting pads with either Sonax Cutmax or Jescar Correction Compound. Then for the polishing stage,a yellow or white Rupes foam pad coupled with Sonax Perfect Finish or Jescar Micro Finishing Polish. I am in the middle of a paint correction on a red 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 and the customer wanted a one step so I used a Urofiber pad with Sonax Cut and Finish. This was my first time to use either of these products and I am extremely impressed. To be honest it cut and finished down just as well if not better than any two step that I have done. Have ever used Sonax Cut and Finish? Awesome video as always man!

      What I'm saying is that because of the thickness of the pad, you have to be very careful because you can get to damage the paint

    Resurrection + MF seems a little aggressive for your first test spot. Wouldn’t you want to start with least /moderate aggressiveness first to see if that clears the defect first?

  • @AnthMatthew
    @AnthMatthew 4 роки тому

    Great video... a bit disappointed you say they only last roughly 4 corrections from a cost point of view. How many pads do you use? I just brought 4 of each size for the 3 different size polishes i use and was hoping these would last longer than 4 corrections?
    The more pads the longer they'll last?

    Brian awesome video my friend.........Haven gotten into polishing yet? Just bought a Green works 2000 psi power washer and McCullough 1385 steam machine for my business. I am also waiting for a smaller gun and foam lance for my power washer along with Car pro hydro foam and Car pro iron x. Need to get my business off the ground and running....Will be looking into harbor freight DA and 5 and 3 inch backing plates with Buff and Shine Uro-Fiber Pads.

    Hey ! You actually have the Maxshine. I just got mine today after your reply the other day. Thanks for helping me with the decision. Seems great for what the price was. I wanted to ask about the pads and product to start playing with and learning. To keep it simple could I just use Lake Country pads and Menzerna/Jesscar together so as to know how both work to form a base of knowledge? If so what pads and which compound- polish would I get ? Can’t wait to take a poke at it. Haven’t come close to a machine since I was a kid at dads body shop :)

    Hi brother! Can I use them on forced rotation DA?

  • @5jjt
    @5jjt 5 років тому

    Since a rotory is faster at cutting, why not cut with a rotory and finish with a DA? Honest question. I don't use a rotory either. I'm a hobbyist. I always wonder why pros don't cut with a rotory since they're quicker.

    I have four pads from meguiars, the dmc5, and they don't attach to my backing plate any advice? Last about one job, using CG cleaning and pad conditioner with a detail brush, and the other one I use APC from meguiars too.
