The Theatrical version cut out "All" the Brutal Hanging of Women, mass Rape and offspring massacre which makes the scene that much more horrific but real. Shows you what really comes with war :(@@PSColdFire

@@KeeperCharlie Due to the nature of feudalism, people have varying degree of loyalty to their rulers so they frequently surrendered to avoid cities getting sacked but yeah, sacking has rarer occurrence in medieval era in Christian to Christian conflicts and mostly done to defiant towns and non christian towns that were breached. Now that you made me think of it, Renaissance onwards have seen more sacking of towns and cities because fortifications are easier to breach with the use of gunpowder.

Still need to. Only reason western countries haven't experienced a sack like this is because of the stalemate. But just like the rape in Ukraine by Russians and the warfare in the middle east and the boko Haram. African genocides weren't too far back in Rwanda.

Paris, who had been the one who indirectly caused a war between the Greeks and the Trojans just for a woman.
Agamemnon, who took the opportunity to convince Menelaus to join him in sacking Troy for the sake of power, dominance, and greed.
As for the latter, he himself became the reason for the downfall of the Greek Empire when the Romans, who I initially assume to be descendants of the Trojans, invaded the Greeks out of vengeance.
So in the end, I was glad the Greeks kind of got what was coming to them. That's why great empires never last long, and that reason is one of many. Karma's a bitch I suppose.

@@rxbitvzzinbvztin8730 For some reason, you decided to tell me this after you told me 2 months ago not to take sides. I'm disgusted of War and pain, but I'm even more disgusted of empires who inflict such war and pain for glory's or power's sakes.
Also, Hector is not my hero and I now think you're just wanting attention. So considering that, I'm not going to be leaving you any more comments after this, and you're free to keep flapping your lips.

It's a story meant to teach people lessons. It didn't actually happen. The Romans invaded Greece for many reasons, vengeance for the Trojan War was never cited as a justification. When the Romans rolled into mainland Greece they did so initially as allies. In fact, the Roman ruling class loved Greek culture from the start. Don't be stupid.

True, the ancient Assyrians were ambitious but brutal and ruthless. They're warmongers, they disregarded diplomancy and they only take, take and take every land they invaded. That which doesn't belonf them. They're more worst than other ancient kingdoms.
