Beautiful car and thanks for the nice ride! I 1/2 expected you to go a little crazy or have fun with it but instead a nice ride, thank you. I'd love to see the outside of the if it is as nice as the interior very nice!
Thanks for the positive feedback instead of critiquing my driving/shifting habits like most others haha. I got on it a little getting onto the highway, but it's not a radical car. Just a 289 pretty close to stock specs it would seem. Sounds good with the Flowmasters though! Here is a walk around video of it on the outside:

Thanks for checking it out!
I got my drivers license in 1965 at age 16. My dad bought his friend's '56 Chevy 210 with a V8 and a 3 on the tree for my older siblings and me to drive. Modern cars are quiet and comfy, but the old cars really engaged you in the act of driving. Hand-operated open window air conditioning and armstrong power steering. And they were repairable if you got in an accident. Nowadays you just throw the car away. I'd love to own something like a souped up Comet, Falcon or Nova station wagon. My family had a couple of wagons and we loved them.
Very nice. Yes, the newer cars have their perks, but the older cars just have that aura and specific feel about them. No matter what, they'll always be cool in some way or another. I think wagons are underappreciated, such neat cars. We have a few wagons
currently building a 65 comet, orange doors, and sides and black roof, hood and coffin door. its a 289 with 302 heads and valves, and a c4 auto tranny. soon to registered :)
Nice! Sounds pretty awesome! You'll have to share pics of it when it's done, would like to see how it comes out
This makes me want one even more (64), I know, they're hard to find.
They are very hard to find. I like this 65s over the 64s because of the vertical headlights, but the 64s are still very cool. There's still some good ones out there, just have to dig a bit
Sounds nice. What size exhaust and what Flowmaster mufflers are you running?
Thanks! I can't remember and I already sold the car. I still have pictures of the underside on my website, maybe they could give you a better idea. Here is the link:

Love this car, I have a 65 Caliente. But that was pretty brutal to watch. It actually took you 14 minutes before you finally decided to put it in 4th gear, even when you were cruising down that 55mph road, you left it in 3rd. Not sure what that was all about, but it did cruise nice once you realized it had another gear to use.
Nice ride, the Caliente's are neat cars also. I did not realize the video was so upsetting to watch, I will keep my gear selection in mind for future videos. After reviewing, it seems I'm only in 3rd gear for about three minutes total. I'm in 3rd because I'm doing about 40 mph behind that big truck, despite the speed limit being 55 mph. When I got on a real highway (70 mph) and actually needed 4th, that's when I used it. Thanks for watching and for the constructive criticism
I've found we all drive manuals differently. My former son-in-law had a manual Hyundai Elantra and he would never put it in fourth, even at 55-60 on the highway. Used to drive me nuts.
He needs to learn how
to drive a 4 speed..soon
😢
@@user-mb7le2tg1thow am I not driving this one correctly?
Glad this guy is not driving my 4spd!!
What's wrong with the driving exactly?

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I like the 65 over the 66 because I think it has better lines. The 66 has minimal shape to the quarters, whereas the 65 has indentations on the doors and quarters that start small and then expand, looking like a comet streaking through the sky. But, the 65 is a bit more boxy, so I can see how people want the more curvy lines of the 66
I'd take the '65 - they're drop dead gorgeous. However, the '66-67's are pretty sweet too.
@@jimv7067 I agree. I'd still take the 66/67 over a 64 because I prefer the vertical headlights over the horizontal
@@callawayclassics I'd agree with that. I would rather have a '67 than a '66 though. Just think the '67's grille and taillights look cleaner.
@@jimv7067 yes they definitely do
Piss poor clutchmanship. Don't be afraid of 4th gear.
How is this poor clutchmanship? I did use 4th, not sure what you are referring to
@Sandy-Beach0 no explanation as to why this is poor clutchmanship?
