I watched the original Live Aid Concert on TV & remember Queen stole the show despite not being the headline act & no one, in the media at the time, expecting them to. From the second Freddy came on stage it was amazing. The whole band were outstanding. This was an awesome tribute to an awesome band. So sad that Freddy, like so many wonderful people of that time fell victim to AIDS, at a time when so few understood what it was. Queen produced so many wonderful songs. Can u imagine if the record Co had their way & cut Bohemian Rhapsody down to the standard 3 minutes so it fitted into an acceptable time for radio airplay. Queen pushed boundaries, tried new ideas & fought for their music. That was a great tribute & a wonderful performance by Waylon. Fab reaction as always Highly. x

He put a nice touch on this tribute to one of the most celebrated performances of all time. His voice is awesome. Pretty sweet guitarist there as well, Brian May is very hard to duplicate.

An amazing tribute performance by the whole ensemble.
It does show just how hard Freddie worked, because he would sing that way for two hours straight, whereby most singers - as displayed here - get completely shattered after barely half an hour of it!
I know when I sing Fat Bottomed Girls in my busking set, I have to be careful because I am usually too out of breath by the third verse to sing it with any ease.
I certainly enjoyed this performance and I'm glad to have caught it!
Waylon is fantastic. He usually plays country and western kind a songs, but when he goes rock, he is amazing.

Don't know where to start, but first my compliments to Waylon and his band! Having this said, You can read his face at 27:30 saying 'we pulled it off!' That the band was in sync with the video must because their is a ticker and countdown in their ears that made the band spot on with the video on screen (First time i heard this was at a U2 video). In the beginning of his career, i found Waylon an annoying tv personality, maybe a bit arrogance... But he grew and showed how sensitive he is, and he is growing as musician and as person. He does things on stage nowadays, that i couldn't imagine or dream of what he is doing now. He lives and breathes music. I am not a fanboy or however you call it, but i do appreciate his performances, wether it is his own song or a cover. Way to go Waylon.

The best (pop/rock) music is 50 years old, coms from the 60"s - 70 's and 80"s . Most performers and writers from that area had a background (degree) in classical music , wich made composing a lot richer. Every new and strange sound came from a guitar and deformer instead of computer.. Most music these days ,comes from producers, who ofcourse love music , but only perform (better then musicians) because they are smarter whit a (music)computer...(i hope i prenounced it correctly ... im dutch) .Greatings Carl.
Always listening too the radio and recording with the cassette (TDK), and always to late to stop. Most off the time the DJ talked trew it, GRRR... butt enjoying it on my walkman, 80's. What a time. :)

Music is part of my daily live, make my own playlists at spotify with my favorite music and still have all my vinyl records from the past and still buy new records as the produce them again. Also still have old cassette tapes on which i recorded my fav. music from the radio.

This is a talkshow Matthijs van Nieuwkerk (he quite recently) and they always end the talkshow with somebody singing. So therefore it isn’t the biggest audience.
Music is always inportant for me. I always like live shows. I have seen some big names, I went to london birmingham wales Germany and Belgium to see shows.

I think this had something to do with the movie Bohemian Rhapsody that was just out in the cinnema. The beginning in the video was the movie. Waylon also did Paradise by the dashboardlight in this show one time. You should check that out. I now you saw Peter Beense en Nikki do that. But Waylon's version was so much better. The show is called De wereld draait door Waylon Paradise by the dashboardlight. ❤

I’m sorry but I have to say this… I love Waylon and he has an amazing voice… but to me this is not one of his best performances. I’ll probably get a lot of haters over me but that’s my honest opinion🤷🏻♀️

@@mauijttewaal I understand that it’s hard to pull something off like this. Freddie was a gifted singer and Waylon got as close as possible. I just think Waylon has done other songs of other artists that I think he excelled more, because I do think he’s brilliant🤷🏻♀️
