Plus he didn't get Bites The Dust until after he killed Hayato in a moment of uncontrollable rage and needed to undo that. If it only went back to when the bomb was first planted, Hayato would still be dead.
When I first watched part 4, my interpretation was that time resets 1 hour when he initially sets Bites The Dust, and goes back to the initial planting of the bomb in all future situations with that host. It's still very wrong, but it's how I didn't realize I misunderstood it until now.

I just want to add to the punch killing Dio makes even more sense when you recall that Dio mentioned how the left side of his body doesn't regenerate the same as the right side of his body, since Jonathan's body is still rejecting him. If you see the punch, Jotaro punched the Left leg of Dio's body, which did massive damage to Dio as he was already weakened anyway. I think that's mostly also why the punch was more effective.
There's also a previous oraoraora trade that ended up in post-Joseph bloodsuck The World's fist getting broken before Star Platinum, so you can assume TW is much less durable than SP

Technically even if it were canon, Jotaro wouldn't know that Josuke had encountered an animal stand-user before, Jotaro would still see the need to affirm to Josuke that they exist.
Even with the English Dub version of Jotaro’s line about the rat, I think anyone with good enough reading comprehension could understand that he’s proposing it to Josuke with the phrasing “ *You know what that means* , Humans aren’t the only organisms with the potential to acquire Stand abilities.”
@@Eebers Based on my experience with various vampire stories, a vampire that does not feed for a long period of time will weaken, and may even enter a frenzied state in which they desperately seek something to feed off of to satisfy the hunger. But I don't know of many stories which state that a vampire that does not eat for a long period of time will starve to death.

I think it's weird when people downplay Jotaro's last punch as "Oh he just punched his leg", like he punched him hard enough to CUT HIS STAND IN HALF, that's such a crazy feat which I think was only ever done again by the ghost alley, a supernatural entity. Also the buggy wheel (your second interpretation specifically) and the Zuko zipper question both feel to me like they originate from the same kind of annoying fandom trend which is taking everything not explicitly shown on screen as a plot hole instead of just accepting that it probably happened off screen.

At this point I’m wondering just how many of these people are deliberately ignoring details or misinterpreting information just for the sake of being in a video like this. I don’t think any other series I’ve engaged with has had this much confusion among the fanbase, like it’s gonna get to a point where every scene and bit of dialogue will need an explanation
I think it's partially because Jojo's has a weirdly high number of people who are fans of the series without having read the manga or seen the anime. I'm guessing it's usually kids who find out about Jojo's through Roblox and/or UA-cam videos, and don't know where to watch the actual anime. Some of it also comes from people who only watch the anime dub, as demonstrated in this video. This is probably the cause of some of the more egregious errors Hamon Beat has talked about.
idk I have definitely seen similar bad comprehension in other fandoms, one thing to note is the Jojo fandom is alot more particular about theories and stuff. Which could be a factor.
also: the "bites the dust rewinds by an hour, getting slightly more ahead each time" would also explain Hyato having apparently gone threw the loop once before for heavens door to be able to read it but not seeming to remember, as its likely during the first loop he was rewound an hour back to when he was asleep, thus its likely his memory was fuzzy and he could have dismissed it as just a dream, while in future loops he was rewinding to a point he was already awake, making it a jump directly from one point of consciousness to another which is far more jarring and harder to ignore

Jotaro, in his brief battle with Nukesaku, was impressed by his resilience, but argued that he could just tear him apart to kill him, and DIO manages to do that when he switches places with Nukesaku in the coffin.
The requiem headcanon probably came from the video "What is a requiem stand?" by xForts from 2016, which has 3.3 million views as of this comment. In it, he says "The way a requiem Stand works is that the arrow will grant the Stand user a new Stand that has the perfect ability for the exact situation and allows the user to achieve what they want most at that moment in the most bizarre way." He later goes on to cite a hypothetical example of Buccellati being very hungry and wanting nothing more than some pizza. He posits that, were Sticky Fingers to be pierced in that moment, then SF Requiem would either turn Buccellati into a pizza magnet and attract all the pizza in the world to him, or it would make him not require food anymore. Of course, this is pure conjecture (and being from 2016, his only citations are the shitty Nameless-One scans, as JJCA hadn't reached that point yet), but because that video is so popular, I'm almost certain that it is responsible for the prevalence of this headcanon. I myself believed it for a while, as I'd watched that video a few months before reading Part 5 for myself.
I was thinking the same thing myself. Because Jojo’s wasn’t as popular when that vid came out. Now those outdated videos are seen more and more and are taken as facts. Even Xforts has admitted that some of his old Jojo videos are outdated and did spread misinformation.
@@davidbipolar890 A lot of people assume BTD is a Requiem Stand simply because he got pierced a second time and a new power awakened. Especially after someone debunked the idea that there was a specific arrow for reawakening Stands as Requiems.
Believing UA-cam videos over actual manga sources is also strangly common in the JoJo community, just look at how many people still insist on quoting random videos of Interviews Araki suppositly gave as fact.

On the topic of making a more neutral discussion video on Jojo's, I think you should also do a front to back "Everything to know about Stands" video. You've done similar videos, like your videos on explaining what counts as a stand, and your debunking videos usually contain Stand rule clarifications in them. But I think a video that lays out every single detail about Stands would be very useful for people less knowledgeable on them. Since I don't think there's a single video on UA-cam that contains every detail about them, mostly the more minor stuff like how BTD is an ability manifested not a requiem, how stand visibility works, exactly how manifestation works, how stands are linked to ripple and spin, how the beetle arrow isn't a requiem arrow, etc. I think a video like this would go a long ways, in helping the community clarify misinterpretations on Jojo's, since we could just link the video and a timestamp to people online who are confused on a particular rule with Stands. You could even make several videos like this for all aspects of Jojo's.
It really is impressive how people will watch JoJo’s once with bad subtitles, look up nothing despite there being a ton of explanations on UA-cam, and then say they found a giant plot hole
8:51 This reminds me where there may be a issue in Part 5's dub where a passenger dealing with the effects of The Grateful Dead notices Pesci and calls out to him "You with the fishing pole" which would imply that he can see Beach Boy. There are a few Stands classified as materialized Stands that non users can see, but checking JoJowiki Beach Boy isn't one of them. Checking it subtitled the passenger doesn't mention the fishing pole, but also I'm uncertain what the manga says. While I'm sure the obvious answer is that non Stand users can't see Beach Boy, I think it is worth bringing up in a future video.
Sometimes localizators (for any project) just come up with random shit on the spot. One of the most annoying things for sure. In the same time, some of them make it their whole shtick, and then it's hilarious. We once had a drinking game of watching The Grand Blue with dub of a very frivolous dubber and we took a shot every time he came up with some non-sensical translation. Or something more people familiar with is Ghost Stories dub
One more detail about Dino getting punched in the leg and shattering is that earlier in the story Dio mentions that Jonathan’s body is still rejecting him and that his left side heals slower. He shows this by injuring his thumbs (I think with stingy ripper eyes) and the hole on his left thumb is bigger showing his left side is more vulnerable. And it is his left leg that gets punched and shatters up the rest of his body defeating him.

Unrelated to the Araki Forgot topic, but there's something I realized recently that I know I'm probably not the first person to figure out by a long shot, but that is neat and that I feel like sharing regardless. I was thinking about the musical references throughout the series, and it suddenly clicked to me that starting with Stardust Crusaders and ending with Stone Ocean, all of the main villain's powers are references to the features of a media player. Dio's The World stops time (Pause/Resume), Kira's Killer Queen Bites the Dust reverses time back to an hour beforehand (Rewind), Diavolo's King Crimson skips time (Skip), and finally Pucci's Made In Heaven speeds up time for everyone except himself (Fast Forward).

To put it simple. The confessor and servant swapped places via surgery. The only time the man with orange hair and strange hairdo was actually the confessor in the flashback was the beginning where he accidentally killed the begger. But when he was cursed he prepared head of time via having the swap place with his servant so servant with his face was attacked by the ghost instead of the real confessor. The servant wasn’t cursed but like the begger he came back a vengeful spirit as he was tricked by the confessor to do the swap as he didn’t know about the spirit and probably made up some lie like “I want to surprise my kid” or something

First question: How does Buccarati not notice Trish being taken away from him in the "Fated," time during King Crimson's timeskip?Is he fated not to react or notice a stand bashing through the elevator ceiling and slicing off Trish's hand? We're shown people react unconciously during skipped time as they should, like jummping off a boat or picking up bullets. So what was "Skipped," Buccarati during? Second question: He can affix things to himself and the air, to the point where he can instantly negate the force of a bullet on contact and carry his own body weight, so how can Mista's bullet overcome the affixation of the previous bullet in Sale's head? I assume the affixation was instant because one of Mista's shots went in Sales throat, and you can't go very far at all with that bullet without it being fatal. It was stopped fast enough to only make him struggle to talk. If he couldn't instantly halt the momentum of a bullet, then the damage done to his throat would be way more severe. If it's the case that he un-affixed the bullet after stopping it, why not re-affix said bullet to his skull? Since he knew that's where Mista was aiming when he was defeated and had enough time to talk about it.
Seriously, writing a manga by yourself for such a long time some errors are going to appear, but it's clear that he knows all of his work with all of the references even of early stuff like stand designs most people don't even remember
Regarding reqiuem abilities: Even if it was true that their ability was tailored to the specific situation of their activstion, there is no reason to assume that a requiem stand would look different each time. Its possible that scr when it first got the arrow would have had a different ability, but that the evolved stand just always looks the same. Scr never actually completed the transformation or did anyhting so we have no idea what its ability would have been.

During the Metallica vs. King Crimson battle while it's implied that Doppio planned to throw scaples at Risotto using the magnetic field of Metallica he may have known about Aerosmith too which us why the scaples ended up at Bruno's crew alerting them to the existence of the battle taking place above them.
@Vozird it's just something interesting about how the fight ends it makes more sense that Doppio knew about Aerosmith(or was told by Diavolo) rather than the scaples landing by Bruno's group because of plot.

So, to sum up the video for future commentators: - get a brain, - develop reading comprehension skills, - read the manga, - watch anime with direct translations.
Having seen so many of these videos, I feel the grand majority of “Araki forgot” moments can be boiled down to an anime-only error, clunky translation (especially in parts 4 and 5), relying on and misinterpreting old interviews and fan theories/content being seen as a replacement for reading the manga. Now that a lot of these most infamous moments have been so thoroughly debunked, I wonder how “Araki forgot” will play out in Part 9, and seeing how fast Hamon Beat can debunk them. 🤣
not to mention the first tens of chapters of Stone Ocean were also lesser-known to have had a bad translation as well until about roughly 2020 when dogparkdesu went & fixed those scanlations & ViZ started on them in 2022
@@GalekC Makes sense. A lot of the early-chapter “Araki forgots” of STONE OCEAN definitely feel like they were the result of mistranslated scans back then, combined with the skimming people tend to do with this Part in particular, IMO.
When Jotaro brings up the rat acquiring a stand even in the dub, I think the intention was teaching Josuke that it can be done, not that this was actually any news to himself. Usually, when Jotaro learns something new himself like that, he shows more surprise. Like when he realized the rat was intelligently working around his time stop.
I'm surprised this was not mentioned in the part about Dio's leg and maybe it's a misconception on my part, but wasn't that part of Dio explicitly a weak point because it was the last part of Jonathan's Body that he failed to completely take over? In the part where Hol Horse confronts Dio, Dio explains that the reason he's biding his time and stalling the Stardust Crusaders from getting to him is that he hasn't gained full control of Jonathan's body yet and some parts of him still heal less fast than others. While Jotaro had no way of knowing this, it could be why the fight ended at this point and taking a hard hit to that leg did so much damage.
No, he remedied the healing problem when he consumed Joseph's blood. The reason that leg was so fragile was because Jotaro had just shattered it, and Dio himself further damaged it to squirt blood into Jotaro's eyes.
Most of peoples confusions with Jojo really just boils down to: 1) didn't read/pay attention to the details 2) overcomplicating a simple matter 3) didn't bother to research anything
There are other reasons that aren't actually their fault. 1. The anime made a mistake, confusing them. 2. They read a poorly translated version of the manga that made things confusing. So its all these reasons, but mostly the reasons you listed because by now, it should be easy to get proper Jojo and the anime is mostly faithful.

5:15 I’m pretty sure at the end of the bridge scene there was a text box that said DIO is dead, the same kind of text box that states Kakyoin’s and Pet Shop’s death. And if we assume the text box is always correct at the point in time it appears, DIO died from that punch. The sunlight is just them getting rid of the body.
Which I think still makes sense as the time Mr. Nijimura's fleshbud went haywire since its connected to his body more than it is his soul, so it might've been fine until it detected that DIO's body was getting destroyed completly.

For the question at 17:30 I think at the moment when Polnareff first touches the arrow he is in hiding from Diavolo and therefore his greatest wish at that moment is to see Diavolo defeated. In a very very long and roundabout way Silver Chariot Requiem does kinda fulfill this as his experience with the Requiem arrow led to him telling Giorno which led to Giorno defeating Diavolo. Head canon restored
For the whole the world punch in the leg thing, I think different stands have different harnesses and temperments. So the world would be like a diamond, hardest thing on earth, but once you break it it shatters into a million pieces since it is so brittle.
This has been bugging me since I read it… when Gyro first gets affected by tomb of the boom, strange spikes come from his leg as he becomes magnetic. When he escapes the Boom Booms, the spikes go away as expected. So it seems like the spikes have something to do with tomb of the boom’s ability. But the spikes never appear again, on Gyro, Johnny, or Mountain Tim, even when they fight tomb of the boom just minutes later and become magnetic again. It also can’t be directly caused by the Boom Booms because they only start to attack after the spikes start appearing.
To add on to the "why didn't kira kill josuke when he bumped into him" question, I believe there's even a line during the bites the dust arc where kira has a moment of regret or introspection about how he could have killed josuke at any time, yet his ideals of living a quiet life completely contradict that. So your analysis being "he just didn't deem it necessary/didn't want to" his very accurate, as kira admits that himself.

in the sandman/soundman fight w johnny, when johnny delivered the final blow, killing sandman, he was shot cleanly through his neck, but in a silent way's mouth, face and just lower face area was all destroyed instead of pierced in his neck. usually i see the user's damage being afflicted on the stand or vice versa and the damage always looks the same.
In the fight between Mista and Kraft work. Kraft work show being able to look bullets in the air and then touch them until they have enough energy to launch it. But at the end of the fight mista shoot one bullet to one who was already stopped and pierce him with it. But if it have been already stopped why it didnt just stay in place and accumalated energy?
probably just Time Stop logic. like when DIO throws knives in stopped time, they move forward for a while and then come to a stop. Sale wasn't hitting them hard enough to make them move, just building energy
In terms of questions for a neutral JoJo questions video, I immediately jump to the countdown to the ROKAKAKA harvest at the back end of Jojolion. We're all aware of how inconsistent it is and it jumps around a fair bit, but I was wondering if there was a more reasonable explanation for why it is this way? Maybe a better timeline clarification to see where it might be going wrong or maybe changes its meaning or something?

Dio escaped the coffin and wondered the earth for 4 years before part 3 happened. True his hair was most likely a mess when he got out, but he simply cut his hair not long afterwards.

I'd love to hear you talk about how users know their abilities. Jotaro and DIO for example did not know they could stop time from the beginning but Kira knew exactly how Bites the Dust worked. The same goes with most of the users in part 3 and 4 who were stated to gain their stand not much time prior to their appearance.

I don't think GER returns things to zero, I think what requiem does is power up and control other people's stands, this is how Silver Chariot Requiem defends himself, it powered up the stands, but when anyone got close to the arrow, their stands would attack them. GER does the same thing when the fight against Diavolo began he powered up his epitaph and turned it against him by making him experience the future in an extremely immersive way, then he made him experience much more into the future, to the point where he saw the end, death, then death again, and again and so on. Also, a question, since the stand arrow is inside GER is it visible to non-stand users? I believe it's said that Silver Chariot Requiem is visible, but I'm not sure, and I have no idea about GER.
after watching this video, one thought came to my mind What EXACTLY is requeim? it was originally thought to be a method to acquire your desires, but thats not the case and its not a straight power up nor is it just a Free-Win card. Kelab stated it is the birth-life-death and rebirth cycle thing, which made sense, but it also has a flaw like "Wtf is polenariffs first interaction with requeim" or, "why is it just used to get pucci a normal stand like a normal stand arrow(tho it evolves, this is through a different method)" its vague and weird, requiem truly is
Requiem is basically what the user wants in that very moment. Even though when Polnareff pricked Chariot with the arrow on accident, it had a form, Chariot Requiem's form is literally what's under the armor. There's not really a Requiem arrow, it's just a special crafted arrow that looks different, so it would give Pucci a normal stand. If Pucci pricked Whitesnake with it, it would potentially be a different story.
To put it simply. Requiem is reference to the song requiem. That's what it was originally meant to be including the fact the song was unfinished and was completed by someone else.
I know this ist TECHNICALLY an araki forgot but i do have a question: knowing how gold experience life punches work on people and how requiem enhances the stand ability's, wouldnt it be a valid interpretation be that diavolo ist actually infinitely dying BUT rather the pain and drowning is being experience as multiple deaths bc how living things senses get too intecify by the punches(sorry if this is too long)

Plus he didn't get Bites The Dust until after he killed Hayato in a moment of uncontrollable rage and needed to undo that. If it only went back to when the bomb was first planted, Hayato would still be dead.
When I first watched part 4, my interpretation was that time resets 1 hour when he initially sets Bites The Dust, and goes back to the initial planting of the bomb in all future situations with that host. It's still very wrong, but it's how I didn't realize I misunderstood it until now.

I just want to add to the punch killing Dio makes even more sense when you recall that Dio mentioned how the left side of his body doesn't regenerate the same as the right side of his body, since Jonathan's body is still rejecting him. If you see the punch, Jotaro punched the Left leg of Dio's body, which did massive damage to Dio as he was already weakened anyway. I think that's mostly also why the punch was more effective.
There's also a previous oraoraora trade that ended up in post-Joseph bloodsuck The World's fist getting broken before Star Platinum, so you can assume TW is much less durable than SP

Technically even if it were canon, Jotaro wouldn't know that Josuke had encountered an animal stand-user before, Jotaro would still see the need to affirm to Josuke that they exist.
Even with the English Dub version of Jotaro’s line about the rat, I think anyone with good enough reading comprehension could understand that he’s proposing it to Josuke with the phrasing “ *You know what that means* , Humans aren’t the only organisms with the potential to acquire Stand abilities.”

But I don't know of many stories which state that a vampire that does not eat for a long period of time will starve to death.

I think it's weird when people downplay Jotaro's last punch as "Oh he just punched his leg", like he punched him hard enough to CUT HIS STAND IN HALF, that's such a crazy feat which I think was only ever done again by the ghost alley, a supernatural entity.

At this point I’m wondering just how many of these people are deliberately ignoring details or misinterpreting information just for the sake of being in a video like this. I don’t think any other series I’ve engaged with has had this much confusion among the fanbase, like it’s gonna get to a point where every scene and bit of dialogue will need an explanation
I think it's partially because Jojo's has a weirdly high number of people who are fans of the series without having read the manga or seen the anime. I'm guessing it's usually kids who find out about Jojo's through Roblox and/or UA-cam videos, and don't know where to watch the actual anime. Some of it also comes from people who only watch the anime dub, as demonstrated in this video. This is probably the cause of some of the more egregious errors Hamon Beat has talked about.
idk I have definitely seen similar bad comprehension in other fandoms, one thing to note is the Jojo fandom is alot more particular about theories and stuff. Which could be a factor.
also: the "bites the dust rewinds by an hour, getting slightly more ahead each time" would also explain Hyato having apparently gone threw the loop once before for heavens door to be able to read it but not seeming to remember, as its likely during the first loop he was rewound an hour back to when he was asleep, thus its likely his memory was fuzzy and he could have dismissed it as just a dream, while in future loops he was rewinding to a point he was already awake, making it a jump directly from one point of consciousness to another which is far more jarring and harder to ignore
IIRC it was the third loop before Hyato realized what was going on, but that was the first one we saw.
I do wonder how far this could go in theory, like could he get is far enough that he actually skips some moments like if he managed to make it jump to after he had already left home?

Jotaro, in his brief battle with Nukesaku, was impressed by his resilience, but argued that he could just tear him apart to kill him, and DIO manages to do that when he switches places with Nukesaku in the coffin.
The requiem headcanon probably came from the video "What is a requiem stand?" by xForts from 2016, which has 3.3 million views as of this comment. In it, he says "The way a requiem Stand works is that the arrow will grant the Stand user a new Stand that has the perfect ability for the exact situation and allows the user to achieve what they want most at that moment in the most bizarre way."
He later goes on to cite a hypothetical example of Buccellati being very hungry and wanting nothing more than some pizza. He posits that, were Sticky Fingers to be pierced in that moment, then SF Requiem would either turn Buccellati into a pizza magnet and attract all the pizza in the world to him, or it would make him not require food anymore.
Of course, this is pure conjecture (and being from 2016, his only citations are the shitty Nameless-One scans, as JJCA hadn't reached that point yet), but because that video is so popular, I'm almost certain that it is responsible for the prevalence of this headcanon. I myself believed it for a while, as I'd watched that video a few months before reading Part 5 for myself.
I was thinking the same thing myself. Because Jojo’s wasn’t as popular when that vid came out. Now those outdated videos are seen more and more and are taken as facts. Even Xforts has admitted that some of his old Jojo videos are outdated and did spread misinformation.

@@davidbipolar890 A lot of people assume BTD is a Requiem Stand simply because he got pierced a second time and a new power awakened. Especially after someone debunked the idea that there was a specific arrow for reawakening Stands as Requiems.
Believing UA-cam videos over actual manga sources is also strangly common in the JoJo community, just look at how many people still insist on quoting random videos of Interviews Araki suppositly gave as fact.

On the topic of making a more neutral discussion video on Jojo's, I think you should also do a front to back "Everything to know about Stands" video. You've done similar videos, like your videos on explaining what counts as a stand, and your debunking videos usually contain Stand rule clarifications in them. But I think a video that lays out every single detail about Stands would be very useful for people less knowledgeable on them. Since I don't think there's a single video on UA-cam that contains every detail about them, mostly the more minor stuff like how BTD is an ability manifested not a requiem, how stand visibility works, exactly how manifestation works, how stands are linked to ripple and spin, how the beetle arrow isn't a requiem arrow, etc.
I think a video like this would go a long ways, in helping the community clarify misinterpretations on Jojo's, since we could just link the video and a timestamp to people online who are confused on a particular rule with Stands. You could even make several videos like this for all aspects of Jojo's.

8:51 This reminds me where there may be a issue in Part 5's dub where a passenger dealing with the effects of The Grateful Dead notices Pesci and calls out to him "You with the fishing pole" which would imply that he can see Beach Boy. There are a few Stands classified as materialized Stands that non users can see, but checking JoJowiki Beach Boy isn't one of them. Checking it subtitled the passenger doesn't mention the fishing pole, but also I'm uncertain what the manga says. While I'm sure the obvious answer is that non Stand users can't see Beach Boy, I think it is worth bringing up in a future video.
Sometimes localizators (for any project) just come up with random shit on the spot. One of the most annoying things for sure. In the same time, some of them make it their whole shtick, and then it's hilarious. We once had a drinking game of watching The Grand Blue with dub of a very frivolous dubber and we took a shot every time he came up with some non-sensical translation. Or something more people familiar with is Ghost Stories dub
in the manga he just called out for help.

One more detail about Dino getting punched in the leg and shattering is that earlier in the story Dio mentions that Jonathan’s body is still rejecting him and that his left side heals slower. He shows this by injuring his thumbs (I think with stingy ripper eyes) and the hole on his left thumb is bigger showing his left side is more vulnerable. And it is his left leg that gets punched and shatters up the rest of his body defeating him.

Unrelated to the Araki Forgot topic, but there's something I realized recently that I know I'm probably not the first person to figure out by a long shot, but that is neat and that I feel like sharing regardless. I was thinking about the musical references throughout the series, and it suddenly clicked to me that starting with Stardust Crusaders and ending with Stone Ocean, all of the main villain's powers are references to the features of a media player. Dio's The World stops time (Pause/Resume), Kira's Killer Queen Bites the Dust reverses time back to an hour beforehand (Rewind), Diavolo's King Crimson skips time (Skip), and finally Pucci's Made In Heaven speeds up time for everyone except himself (Fast Forward).

To put it simple. The confessor and servant swapped places via surgery. The only time the man with orange hair and strange hairdo was actually the confessor in the flashback was the beginning where he accidentally killed the begger.
But when he was cursed he prepared head of time via having the swap place with his servant so servant with his face was attacked by the ghost instead of the real confessor.
The servant wasn’t cursed but like the begger he came back a vengeful spirit as he was tricked by the confessor to do the swap as he didn’t know about the spirit and probably made up some lie like “I want to surprise my kid” or something

First question: How does Buccarati not notice Trish being taken away from him in the "Fated," time during King Crimson's timeskip?Is he fated not to react or notice a stand bashing through the elevator ceiling and slicing off Trish's hand? We're shown people react unconciously during skipped time as they should, like jummping off a boat or picking up bullets. So what was "Skipped," Buccarati during?
Second question: He can affix things to himself and the air, to the point where he can instantly negate the force of a bullet on contact and carry his own body weight, so how can Mista's bullet overcome the affixation of the previous bullet in Sale's head?
I assume the affixation was instant because one of Mista's shots went in Sales throat, and you can't go very far at all with that bullet without it being fatal. It was stopped fast enough to only make him struggle to talk. If he couldn't instantly halt the momentum of a bullet, then the damage done to his throat would be way more severe.
If it's the case that he un-affixed the bullet after stopping it, why not re-affix said bullet to his skull? Since he knew that's where Mista was aiming when he was defeated and had enough time to talk about it.

Regarding reqiuem abilities:
Even if it was true that their ability was tailored to the specific situation of their activstion, there is no reason to assume that a requiem stand would look different each time. Its possible that scr when it first got the arrow would have had a different ability, but that the evolved stand just always looks the same. Scr never actually completed the transformation or did anyhting so we have no idea what its ability would have been.

During the Metallica vs. King Crimson battle while it's implied that Doppio planned to throw scaples at Risotto using the magnetic field of Metallica he may have known about Aerosmith too which us why the scaples ended up at Bruno's crew alerting them to the existence of the battle taking place above them.

So, to sum up the video for future commentators:
- get a brain,
- develop reading comprehension skills,
- read the manga,
- watch anime with direct translations.
Always a pleasant surprise seeing one of these videos pop up in my feed.
Having seen so many of these videos, I feel the grand majority of “Araki forgot” moments can be boiled down to an anime-only error, clunky translation (especially in parts 4 and 5), relying on and misinterpreting old interviews and fan theories/content being seen as a replacement for reading the manga. Now that a lot of these most infamous moments have been so thoroughly debunked, I wonder how “Araki forgot” will play out in Part 9, and seeing how fast Hamon Beat can debunk them. 🤣
not to mention the first tens of chapters of Stone Ocean were also lesser-known to have had a bad translation as well until about roughly 2020 when dogparkdesu went & fixed those scanlations & ViZ started on them in 2022

Makes sense. A lot of the early-chapter “Araki forgots” of STONE OCEAN definitely feel like they were the result of mistranslated scans back then, combined with the skimming people tend to do with this Part in particular, IMO.
It’ll probably end up being like part 8 where people go “araki forgot something” because it didn’t show up for a while but then later on it does
When Jotaro brings up the rat acquiring a stand even in the dub, I think the intention was teaching Josuke that it can be done, not that this was actually any news to himself. Usually, when Jotaro learns something new himself like that, he shows more surprise. Like when he realized the rat was intelligently working around his time stop.
I'm surprised this was not mentioned in the part about Dio's leg and maybe it's a misconception on my part, but wasn't that part of Dio explicitly a weak point because it was the last part of Jonathan's Body that he failed to completely take over? In the part where Hol Horse confronts Dio, Dio explains that the reason he's biding his time and stalling the Stardust Crusaders from getting to him is that he hasn't gained full control of Jonathan's body yet and some parts of him still heal less fast than others. While Jotaro had no way of knowing this, it could be why the fight ended at this point and taking a hard hit to that leg did so much damage.
No, he remedied the healing problem when he consumed Joseph's blood. The reason that leg was so fragile was because Jotaro had just shattered it, and Dio himself further damaged it to squirt blood into Jotaro's eyes.
Even in the English dub, Jotaro doesn’t sound surprised about animal stand users, just teaching Josuke that animals can acquire stands

Most of peoples confusions with Jojo really just boils down to:
1) didn't read/pay attention to the details
2) overcomplicating a simple matter
3) didn't bother to research anything
There are other reasons that aren't actually their fault.
1. The anime made a mistake, confusing them.
2. They read a poorly translated version of the manga that made things confusing.
So its all these reasons, but mostly the reasons you listed because by now, it should be easy to get proper Jojo and the anime is mostly faithful.

19:30 Polnareff says that using a requiem arrow grants the stand the users greatest desire (sorry for bad framing in this line)
in Polnareffs case he deseired to keep the arrow away from diavolo so chariot req developed the sun thing
in Giornos case he desired to defeat king crimson/diavolo the most so he gained rtz
Chariot requiem was shown to affect souls when polnareff was in the farmhouse
Polnareff was still hiding from diavolo at this point but his greatest desire wasnt necessarily to keep the arrow safe from him
this isnt chariots main ability though since the sun behind werent mentioned and i believe that is the main ability so it might be that chariot requiem was fated to gain these soul altercation abilities because polnareff was fated to save the arrow from diavolo
5:15 I’m pretty sure at the end of the bridge scene there was a text box that said DIO is dead, the same kind of text box that states Kakyoin’s and Pet Shop’s death. And if we assume the text box is always correct at the point in time it appears, DIO died from that punch. The sunlight is just them getting rid of the body.
Which I think still makes sense as the time Mr. Nijimura's fleshbud went haywire since its connected to his body more than it is his soul, so it might've been fine until it detected that DIO's body was getting destroyed completly.
6:02 Jotaro crushes Dios right leg, but Star Platinum punches left leg so its not the reason why Jotaro defeated Dio, the REAL reason is that Dios left part of the body was weaker (he states it multiple times in anime), even after Josephs blood he still didnt fully controll left part of the body

10:27 despite 4 being my favorite part, I haven’t rewatched it in a while. However, if memory serves, doesn’t KQ need to *manifest* in order to plant a bomb? If so, then summoning his stand would clearly show to Josuke and Okuyasu that Kira is the killer.
For the question at 17:30 I think at the moment when Polnareff first touches the arrow he is in hiding from Diavolo and therefore his greatest wish at that moment is to see Diavolo defeated. In a very very long and roundabout way Silver Chariot Requiem does kinda fulfill this as his experience with the Requiem arrow led to him telling Giorno which led to Giorno defeating Diavolo. Head canon restored

For the whole the world punch in the leg thing, I think different stands have different harnesses and temperments. So the world would be like a diamond, hardest thing on earth, but once you break it it shatters into a million pieces since it is so brittle.
This has been bugging me since I read it… when Gyro first gets affected by tomb of the boom, strange spikes come from his leg as he becomes magnetic. When he escapes the Boom Booms, the spikes go away as expected. So it seems like the spikes have something to do with tomb of the boom’s ability. But the spikes never appear again, on Gyro, Johnny, or Mountain Tim, even when they fight tomb of the boom just minutes later and become magnetic again. It also can’t be directly caused by the Boom Booms because they only start to attack after the spikes start appearing.
To add on to the "why didn't kira kill josuke when he bumped into him" question, I believe there's even a line during the bites the dust arc where kira has a moment of regret or introspection about how he could have killed josuke at any time, yet his ideals of living a quiet life completely contradict that. So your analysis being "he just didn't deem it necessary/didn't want to" his very accurate, as kira admits that himself.
I genuinely love seeing people correct misinformation. I hope more people make videos like this about other topics! 😂

in the sandman/soundman fight w johnny, when johnny delivered the final blow, killing sandman, he was shot cleanly through his neck, but in a silent way's mouth, face and just lower face area was all destroyed instead of pierced in his neck. usually i see the user's damage being afflicted on the stand or vice versa and the damage always looks the same.
In the fight between Mista and Kraft work. Kraft work show being able to look bullets in the air and then touch them until they have enough energy to launch it. But at the end of the fight mista shoot one bullet to one who was already stopped and pierce him with it. But if it have been already stopped why it didnt just stay in place and accumalated energy?
probably just Time Stop logic. like when DIO throws knives in stopped time, they move forward for a while and then come to a stop. Sale wasn't hitting them hard enough to make them move, just building energy
In terms of questions for a neutral JoJo questions video, I immediately jump to the countdown to the ROKAKAKA harvest at the back end of Jojolion. We're all aware of how inconsistent it is and it jumps around a fair bit, but I was wondering if there was a more reasonable explanation for why it is this way? Maybe a better timeline clarification to see where it might be going wrong or maybe changes its meaning or something?
Dio left side body was weaker, he showed it to hol horse when he said his left side heal slower... So it makes sense why the punch damaged his "left" side.
How come dio's hair didn't just grow enormously while he was in the coffin I mean I know he is a vampire and all but 100 years is 100 years
Dio escaped the coffin and wondered the earth for 4 years before part 3 happened. True his hair was most likely a mess when he got out, but he simply cut his hair not long afterwards.
24:01 I don’t know Araki did it on purpose, but if I remember correctly, ants don’t breathe like we do, their body has small opening that allow air to freely pass through, like gills but for land, meaning they probably wouldn’t be affected

I kinda missed my shot with pride month being last month but I think it would make an interesting video to talk about the relationship between JoJo and themes of queerness, like of course you have the multiple canonically LGBT+ character in JoJo but also the reputation that JoJo has for being very homoerotic, it would be nice to have an overview of this subject as well as what Araki might think of all this and of course I would love to hear your opinion on the matter (on JoJo being or not homoerotic I mean)

I'd love to hear you talk about how users know their abilities. Jotaro and DIO for example did not know they could stop time from the beginning but Kira knew exactly how Bites the Dust worked. The same goes with most of the users in part 3 and 4 who were stated to gain their stand not much time prior to their appearance.
Id love to see a video cause i havent read part5 for like 7 years going over how Gold experience requiem and king crimsons abilities work when they come into contact. Kinda like you did when you explained the flow of calamity
I don't think GER returns things to zero, I think what requiem does is power up and control other people's stands, this is how Silver Chariot Requiem defends himself, it powered up the stands, but when anyone got close to the arrow, their stands would attack them. GER does the same thing when the fight against Diavolo began he powered up his epitaph and turned it against him by making him experience the future in an extremely immersive way, then he made him experience much more into the future, to the point where he saw the end, death, then death again, and again and so on.
Also, a question, since the stand arrow is inside GER is it visible to non-stand users? I believe it's said that Silver Chariot Requiem is visible, but I'm not sure, and I have no idea about GER.

What EXACTLY is requeim? it was originally thought to be a method to acquire your desires, but thats not the case and its not a straight power up nor is it just a Free-Win card.
Kelab stated it is the birth-life-death and rebirth cycle thing, which made sense, but it also has a flaw like "Wtf is polenariffs first interaction with requeim" or, "why is it just used to get pucci a normal stand like a normal stand arrow(tho it evolves, this is through a different method)"

Requiem is basically what the user wants in that very moment. Even though when Polnareff pricked Chariot with the arrow on accident, it had a form, Chariot Requiem's form is literally what's under the armor. There's not really a Requiem arrow, it's just a special crafted arrow that looks different, so it would give Pucci a normal stand. If Pucci pricked Whitesnake with it, it would potentially be a different story.
To put it simply. Requiem is reference to the song requiem. That's what it was originally meant to be including the fact the song was unfinished and was completed by someone else.
I know this ist TECHNICALLY an araki forgot but i do have a question: knowing how gold experience life punches work on people and how requiem enhances the stand ability's, wouldnt it be a valid interpretation be that diavolo ist actually infinitely dying BUT rather the pain and drowning is being experience as multiple deaths bc how living things senses get too intecify by the punches(sorry if this is too long)
Shulk's premonitions in Xenoblade is basically Epitaph and using something that breaks that fate is basically King Crimson.
