Thank you mate! Match/position specific drills are the best ways to improve individually, such as the drills shown in this video.
Also paying pick up/small sided games with your friends often is a great way to improve decision making and build confidence on the ball.

Another well thought out video Michael.
Obviously, there are thousands of young players who haven’t the access to 4G pitches etc, but with these drills, it’s just a matter of adapting the area they DO have.
For me, I’ve always valued players over cones or poles as it’s an easier transfer from individual to group dynamics.
In saying that, it’s also invaluable to give control of learning over to the players and THEN integrating these new found skills into team dynamics.
I would also advocate a period of reflection or debriefing at the end of the session
i.e.
What worked well/not well?,
Weaknesses/Strengths?
Making some notes on what to work on next etc?
I call this process INPUT > THROUGHPUT > OUTPUT
It’s useful in all phases of learning.
What is the quality of the INPUT? - is the coaching right
What is the quality of the THROUGHPUT? - are they ‘getting it’?
What (and this is the important part) is the quality of the OUTPUT = End Product

It’s just that your videos provide for me, another opportunity to give back to the game that has provided some of the most wonderful moments in my life.
Coaches must eventually realise that they have a responsibility to support all those they coach to reach as high as their ability will take them.
Players must know WHAT to do, WHERE to do it, WHEN to do it and most importantly WHY they do it.
The hardest part to coach is the WHY. Once they know WHY then everything else follows.

Always welcome mate! Generally during the the off season I usually do 5 technical sessions per week. 3 gym sessions (2 strength and one plyometrics) and 2-3 yoga sessions per week.
I’ll do my more intense work Monday-Wednesday, taper off from Thursday-Friday and then try to play small sided on a Saturday, resting on Sundays.

Think of finishing as passing the ball into the goal. Since your passing is good, imagine a team mate standing in the corner of the goal and pass the ball to them. It’s the same technique 🤜🤛

I love these drills but I have added some endurance and fitness drills with the ladder and cones, but idk how long of a break I should take once I go through the drill once or multiple times, can someone help.
