  • First time a privately owned I20N has been taken on track.
    Great car, fast and handles but brakes aren't up too much.

    Loving my i20 N too. So fun to drive. Also black is definitely the best colour option.

    Cool! Mine arrives today or tomorrow and planning on taking it to Ascari for a play at some point. Interesting that it’s the brakes you think it lacks, they are meant to be better on track than the ST which also has awful fade…
    Once the warranty is up, mine will be off for a remap and better pads then 😂 🙌🏼

      brake don't impact warranty. The brakes over heated and almost set on fire, Retardation wasn't impacted that much but the pedal did go a little long. It wouldn't surprise me if the press cars had different pads fitted to them.

    Sounds like you have the same sound generator issue I have, when at high rpm and on the throttle, especially in third, there’s a sort of rattle noise

    Car goes well on track, have you had it remapped yet? and did you change the brake pads?

    as oil mount the 0w20. by chance, can you put an oil that holds better at high temperatures like a 5w40? do you think the 0w20 is good for the track?

    • @carcontrolcommitment
      @carcontrolcommitment  Рік тому

      it appears that the standard 0w20 is fine for this car. Apparently turbos need thin oil. I didn't get any consumption issues. Oil temps remained in spec - max 125 deg.

      @@carcontrolcommitment ok then i will leave this 0w20. I was convinced that on the track it would wear out immediately

    What about brakes and Pirelli tyres on track?

    Surprised you say the brakes weren't great, not one mention on the brakes being bad in the reviews etc. They are huge brakes also so should work fine. Maybe a Ferodo DS2500 pad would work better?

    Looks like you spent the whole day overtaking people, strange that you could only open the throttle 99%
