I had PPF and sound insulation installed, currently I've got half the rear interior removed and I'm in the middle of installing strut braces. I like to tinker with things so I'll probably try upgrading the speakers and possibly making a custom wing for it in the upcoming years.
We got our i 30 N under a year old and 3 k on the clock from a main dealership in stoney Stratford, Milton Keynes, as soon as i found out production was to end , and we saved over 6 grand on a brand new one which were impossible to order , we got the dct and with tge N lights seats , what an amazing car me and the wife loves it and puts a smile on our faces every time we drive it 😊😊😊

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a test drive, but I'm sure that my dream car won't disappoint me.
On a run you can get over 50mpg. I got my Performance Blue i20N in December and I've done a few long runs in it, I stick it in Eco on the motorway for cruising and returned 51.5mpg on a 7 hour drive. Of course it's far less when you go round country lanes in N mode, but I was very impressed with it on the longer journey.
This is tragic. I really thought that Hyundai were going to properly influence and develop the car industry by kicking back in to gear cool performance cars, but it seems they are axing it already. I hope that this isn't the end for them, there better be a replacement coming!

@@DrivenPlus here, finally, is an update on my i20N. 5 months ownership. Approx. 2K miles. No issues. You won't be surprised to hear that I absolutely love it. It has renewed my enthusiasm for driving. It's been years since i just went out on local roads for a 'blast' but I do with the i20N. More than enough performance. The mechanical grip from the LSD is just hilarious. Overtaking on the outside lane of roundabouts is effortless - and has almost become 'the norm' Criticisms? The supension can bottom out occasionally and sound a bit 'crashy'. Having to turn off all the 'driver assist' functions every time you start the car is a drag. Why, oh why can't it all be switched off permanently or at least be linked to a single N Custom mode? Similarly, Hyundai Blue Link keeping a record of all your journey data seems a bit contrary to GDP etc. but I disabled mine after a few weeks. Dashboard loads up much faster upon vehicle start as a result MPG suffers from lots of short trips - mid to high teens displayed - as the car doesn't get to operating temperature. Got 46 MPG on a longer run the other day though, so it evens out. Trip computers are typcally optimistic by a couple of MPG. My calculated average at fill-up is 28-29MPG - pretty much the same as my old MK.1 Swift Sport (which was nowhere as fast..). Speaking of the Mk.1 Swift Sport, the i20N is the closest drive I found to that car (deffo has that 'old school' vibe) but with rather more performance and the convenience of 5-doors (Yes, I wanted 5 doors!). I test drove the Mk.2 and Mk.3 Swift Sport variants and wasn't so keen. Suzuki made all the controls lighter and it detracted from the driving experience IMO. i20N is longer than the Swift (closer to that of a Mk.2 Golf GTi) and is much more spacious in the rear as a result. Rear passengers? No problem. Far more practical. The i20N is possibly the ultimate 'all purpose' small hatchback. It's equally competent doing the school run or acting as a shopping trolley, as it is as a high speed van/load carrier (with back seats folded down..) or track weapon. It's also remarkably quiet and refined during motorway cruising, so devours longer journeys with ease. Not many cars can do all that - or at least as competently. The i20N is a keeper. Sorry @purplehazeffc but I doubt you'll be seeing a facelifted ICE i20N. The facelifted standard i20 has been out over a year now. If Hyundai were going to do it, it would have been done. ICE i20n &i30n are discontinued in Europe and the only new models left are potentially already within the Dealer network. Hyundai won't be maintaining supplies for other global markets. It's not a big enough seller for that. They will move to EV replacements.. 😢
eventhough the i30 n and i20 n have been discontinued, i doubt its the last we'll see from ICE from Hyundai. Hyundai's hybrids are quite robust aswell with dct gearboxes. i reckon we'll see a N hybrid before 2035.and a special lineup of 100 cars have already been confirmed for the n vision 74
I still have my i20N . One of the first in Aus in 21. We have now purchased an auto and manual v6. I30N to replace it and our Kona N. Our Son purchased his manual i30N last year version 5. yeah aussie here, they only selling it in Australia ,new Zealand i think middle east and south africa as wekk. i bought mine last week. but they comming in small numbers at the time. good luck finding one or its a 3-6 month wait.
Cars like this can not continue to exist with fleet wide emissions regulations. Clio RS, Megane RS, 208 GTi, etc. For me I’m not that fussed because the “regular” versions are fun enough at public road speeds motoring. I’ll be more sad if the regular models were to go away as well.
Any auto company that waits to 2035 to change direction will probably go out of business! There is a reason for this transition front gas car to electric vehicles and we should all keep that in mind. For me I think about the generations after me, I am 50 years old and at best I may see another 30 years, maybe a little bit more and then I will be going for my forever sleep!
End of the day if we do nothing to stem the tide of cross overs and SUVs that people are buying, all car makers will just cut anything interesting they make.
...Hyundai will just replace it, a different model thats more powerful and faster, and we'll all be buying that one when it arrives....its not rocket science, how car manufacturers...work these days
I enjoyed your review and enthusiasm. Mine is almost 1 year old with 11,000km and it's a practical, economical, enthusiasts car. It's a tragedy these cars have been cancelled by the crazy Marxist nut jobs we allowed to take over our lives. It's in 'N' mode all the time, the tyres are hanging in there but not long to go and the long term economy is 6.2L/100km by the readout[6.5L/100km]. The engine they put in the i20N is new and also unique by having CVVD, constantly variable valve dwell, which has never been achieved before. ua-cam.com/video/uhsgdwUX1-w/v-deo.html
We'll see. Hybrids would have been a logical progression but the global EV agenda means that manufacturers must have an ever increasing proportion of pure EVs in their overall production. Hybrids don't support that. It'll take new/lighter battery technology before a small hot EV hatch can replace the i20N
Absolutely gutted they have discontinued the i20N and i30N. Adored this car!

I think it was probably priced at around 500.000$ in Korean money. yes
Fantastic review mate!
Thank you!
I still have my i20N . One of the first in Aus in 21. We have now purchased an auto and manual v6. I30N to replace it and our Kona N. Our Son purchased his manual i30N last year version 5. Stupidly , electric including the behemoth Ionic 5N is killing the brand. The Ionic 5 is failing sales targets in Australia
Picking mine up this Sunday! Might be dumb question but want to ask, is there a way to turn on the middle tail light or is it a brake light? I like the connected lights look. Cant really find anything about this and dont know if i can wait till pick up to find the answers.
Congratulations! Don’t think so unless you code it?
@@DrivenPlus so its just for display then? Ive seen some images online but they’re aftermarket.
I think it’s the fog light
@@DrivenPlus fog lights wouldnt be at the back lol
Why wouldn’t they…?
This is my dream car.
Not 4 pot Calipers, ht the brakes are good out the box and come with updated pads that don’t fade
Good review Max, thank you
No problem, thanks Neil 👍
petrol or ev aside, the 20n performace is so fun so emotional, it is a true shame the ended the production for the e.u
Perfect rewiew! My is rolling out from the factory at may, one of the last 10 I20n in europian market. It will be my first car, I wanted to start with an older and much more moderate...Than I heard that they are not producing it anymore, so they left me no choice!😅
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations on your I20N. Enjoy 🙌
Same for me, I also ordered one of the last European i20N's. Did the dealer tell you it's coming in may, mine doesn't know exactly when yet?
@@ДенисДавидков First of all I would like to congratulate for your good choice 😉The dealer told that maybe I have to wait till march or april, but in the contract written until 31 of may...we checked a month ago, in the factory system it did not have chassis/body number yet, only construction number.
@@roberterdelyi7766 Yours is probably made in Turkey as well? I asked my dealer if it will be delivered by August and she said for sure by then, but May sounds much better, hopefully you're right. 😃
@@ДенисДавидков yes, made in turkey. My dealer sad it must be done at end of may, how is in the contract. We will see...He is checking it frequently, I'll let you know if I have any information.😉
I would've bought one if they made it in automatic.
Ending i20N and i30N is one of the hallmarks of the insane Green Khmer policy that has spread throughout Europe like a cancer.
Have you got a review of the i30n dct?
Unfortunately not. Haven’t been offered one to review! 🥲
The statistic on the fiesta weight is wrong, the car is 1100kg for the three door variant 1200kg for the 5 door variant.
Bring this back, along with the Kia Stinger.
WTH is going through Kia-Hyundai’s mind?
The cuteness factor of it though😂
They're not in Australia. Facelift due end of year
Great news for you guys
Is that because of how relaxed our emissions are here??
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 probably.
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 probably.. they're also sold more I reckon
@mharro88 but how can people see that the design of these is more of cute instead of how their meant to look "aggressive". There is also cosmetic mods you can get where it looks like the car has got cat whiskers. Maybe the cuteness factor turned people off
Only for eu/uk? Australia still getting i20N
yeah aussie here, they only selling it in Australia ,new Zealand i think middle east and south africa as wekk. i bought mine last week. but they comming in small numbers at the time. good luck finding one or its a 3-6 month wait.
@@t4ketsuru dang that's crazy. I'd like to get a facelift. How much was the facelift in AUD different to the prefscelift?
Cars like this can not continue to exist with fleet wide emissions regulations. Clio RS, Megane RS, 208 GTi, etc. For me I’m not that fussed because the “regular” versions are fun enough at public road speeds motoring. I’ll be more sad if the regular models were to go away as well.
Ive seen 5.6 0-60 on this stock

I hope it isn’t true.
A black colored version of this car would be so awesome.
Unfortunately it is true!
@@DrivenPlus First they got rid of KIA Stinger and now this… 🤔
This sucks, was really looking to buy one around summer :(
Ahhh… Hyundai apparently have some left in stock
@@DrivenPlus I didnt ask, but in my country they have already taken it out of homepage and price lists :(
Any auto company that waits to 2035 to change direction will probably go out of business! There is a reason for this transition front gas car to electric vehicles and we should all keep that in mind. For me I think about the generations after me, I am 50 years old and at best I may see another 30 years, maybe a little bit more and then I will be going for my forever sleep!
No new model I’m afraid only battery replacement at £60000 plus!
Shame!
End of the day if we do nothing to stem the tide of cross overs and SUVs that people are buying, all car makers will just cut anything interesting they make.
Much better option than the i30 n
rn22 needs to come out
nice 💯💪🏻
Thanks 🔥
welp, i20N didn't come to my region and now it never will
two great cars, getting great reviews from everyone, something different, raising Hyundai's profile........ yeah let's discontinue them. Bizarre!
Well said!
Im not against evs but we will never have an 1200kg ev with similar power and price
I agree with you
Ev3
This i20n is made in Turkey and it costs 40,000 pounds there 😂
I thought all N's were made in Korea. If the VIN starts with a K it's a Korean made one.
I don't know about Korea, but i20 and i20n models are most definitely also made in Turkey.
@@stylusdvd Yeah for what I found out, the i20N's are made there. The Kona N and Elantra N (i30N sedan) are made in Korea.
Could get an fn2 instead
Could do!
What the hell 😭😭😭😭
...Hyundai will just replace it, a different model thats more powerful and faster, and we'll all be buying that one when it arrives....its not rocket science, how car manufacturers...work these days
They will… but most likely an electric replacement
Dude, they are shifting completely to electric. Screw that.
Awww… poor, poor fourth r… errr EU. Somebody else in a different country decides what you can and can’t have.🤣
I enjoyed your review and enthusiasm.

Thanks for sharing and glad you enjoyed the review 😎
First (also the last)
😂
That's a good looking hatch with some decent power numbers. Not a fan of the baby blue. How's the handling ? Suspension?
Handling was impressive. Good feedback, having the LSD was a great choice by Hyundai
It looks cute instead of "aggressive"
sad days.
There will be new i20 nd 30s just hybrids
We'll see. Hybrids would have been a logical progression but the global EV agenda means that manufacturers must have an ever increasing proportion of pure EVs in their overall production. Hybrids don't support that. It'll take new/lighter battery technology before a small hot EV hatch can replace the i20N
Decir que sobra el aleron es tan ridículo, que realmente el que sobra eres tú en el video 😂
